I just ate at this place and loved it! I lived in Lafayette, Louisiana for a number of years and in Austin, Texas for 12 years. We ate at several of these places and found this place to be extremely good. We had the shrimp, live crab and lobster and found everything to be excellent. We eat out nearly every night and eat at the Vietnamese place next door often but thought we'd try this place out. I'd glad we did and plan to go back again very soon. Wow, the food here is really good. I was shock ...being that this is Riverside. $10 for a pound of crawfish that literally took me a whole hour to pick through. My husband got two pounds of scallops which at market price of $14 per pound was a great deal. My daughter loves her chicken wings. Definitely coming back for more. read more

This is a solid cajun seafood spot in the IE. I was craving something similar to Boiling Crab without all the wait. My first choice was Rockstar Shrimp, but it was closing at 10pm on a Saturday night and we weren't going to make it, so I found Star Crab instead. I'm thankful that we did because everyone in my party enjoyed the flavors and taste of this place instead. They seated the four of us right away at 9:45pm. They were always refilling our pitcher or water and the food came out fairly quick. I ordered 1lb of shrimp ($10.95) with full house flavor and hot level of spice. It was such a good spice that made me salivate as I ate. I was afraid the hot level would've been too spicy, but I'd totally do it again. On top of that, we also ordered the cajun fries ($4.10), which was topped with a lot of cajun seasoning --my favorite! Love me some seafood but driving to OC is just not worth it sometimes- with the wait, the rush, the traffic, etc. Decided to give this place a try, because it was close and I woke up thinking, I HAD TO HAVE SEAFOOD TODAY. The food is cheap, and the beer is cheaper. We tried the medium everything and it was perfect. We ordered a side of HOT, and it definitely had a snot-dripping kick. Can't even imagine 911. The sauce is almost if not better than Boiling crab. Definitely impressed! Ordered snow crab, mussels, shrimp, 3 rice, bucket of 5 coronas, amounting to about $56. I could agree with other yelpers the service could have been better- they huddled in the corner talking (with foul language). I'm huge on customer service and wish they asked how we were doing more often. The food did make up for it, so a strong 5 stars. :D read more

The service here is great. When it came to ordering I wasn't sure what levels of hotness I wanted, so my waitress brought all of them out for me. The food here is scrumptious and the wait wasn't that bad. It was around 15 minutes or so. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. read more

i usually go down to orange county for some Kickin' Crab and I gotta say this place is good enough to satisfy a Crawfish craving! First time coming here and didnt know you had to ask for the crawfish seasonal to get the seasonal or else they will assume frozen. First time here , it compares to the boiling crab in Mira Mesa San Diego but without the crazy wait. The full house sauce is legit , we ordered it mild and it was perfect ,had a lb of shrimp and snow crab, I love that they give you scissors to cut into your crab, the lemon pepper fries were not as good at the ones at boiling crab however the seafood was and it was also rather very fresh , as pointed out by other helpers this place is legit and not as far of a drive as OC or SD read more

My bf and I have been loyal customers for 3 years now. We have tried other seafood places but this place has been our favorite. The food is always great and full of flavor. Every time we go, we get seated pretty quick. The only downfall is that just recently, customer service has been pretty poor but we noticed it's mostly one specific server. The past few times we have gone, he leaves our table unattended and doesn't offer or bother asking if we need anything after he bring out the food. This place is terrible!!!! I think the saying you get what you pay for comes from here! Like ya great prices but no one who works here knows what kind of oysters are being served or are educated about seafood. Order a pound of shrimp and get maybe 1/3 since they come with head on but of course no one tells you beforehand. Oysters tasted old which makes sense since they came from KOREA!!! Crab is pre frozen then cooked to serve. No wonder everything is steamed in hot sauce to hide the terrible quality of the seafood. I've really had better seafood at sushi bars. What a TOTAL DISASTER! We will never be back. They took our order. The waitress was supposed to let me try a suave prior to cooking my food. She disappeared. I mean gone never to be seen again! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!! The sign on the window says they close until 11 p.m. on Saturdays. I showed up around 10:20 p.m. with my wife and the girl at the front desk told us that they can only do take out because they are about to close. What a great find! We've been driving into the Oc for this kind of dining experience (you'll find a dozen of this type of Cajun joints in Westminster,) and were thrilled to find one close to home. We loved the shrimp and scallops. Absolutely delish! The combo with garlic lemon pepper and Cajun is the way to go. We did medium spicy and it was just hot enough. The potatoes were good but DONT bother with the CORN. The corn was obviously frozen and chewy. Fresh would have made a huge difference. The rice was undercooked, but tolerable. All in all a good meal because the main event was soo tasty. We will definitely come back. We had very little wait with prompt service. When you r done, take 2 pieces of Lemmon with you into the bathroom and use w soap to get rid of the chili and garlic smell ( old Sri Lankan secret) enjoy! read more
