Real good food at a real price. The seafood is cooked in a bag that is brought to the table. I had the shrimp w/o heads, house canon spice. It was well balanced heat that didn't clear my sinuses. The wife got them snow crab in butter. Sweet and juicy. An advantage of this presentation is you can dip your food in this spices it was cooked in. No negatives at all. Also, got home and opened the bag to find out no tartar sauce was included, which makes no sense - that should be mandatory with fish and chips. The service was standard. Wasn't in there long enough to make a judgement on the ambience, but the place was pretty quiet and empty. Overall, the food was alright, but I probably wouldn't come back here unless they increased the portion size and quality a bit to match the price point (and included tartar sauce with my order). read more

We also got a bag of shrimp that either had freezer burned or was over cooked because some were mushy. We could have rated at a nice upscale restaurant for what we paid at star crab. Do not be fooled!! Although the restaurant itself is empty, the food was super good!!! We were hesitant at first when nobody was in the big restaurant, but fortunately we gave it a try. The staff was wonderful and helpful, and the food was delicious! We ordered the blue star family bucket with full house sauce and added crawfish and an extra sausage. Overall, this place hits the spot. It's spacious, clean and has good, friendly service. Flavor bombs with the right amount of heat... I'd ask for extra garlic chunks and the sauce a bit thicker cause it's so damn tasty! DIP YO Garlic toast or throw that sauce over your rice with some of their S&P and you'll thank me later. Don't forget the lime... they go nicely over any of that! We demolished some crawfish (a MUST HAVE!! They're worth the work I promise) and shrimp with the heads! I suck like no other!!
