I was told to bring the car in today at 3:30...I left my meeting early, drove 30 mins, waited 10 mins, only to be told they can't help me because "they've been working since 7:30 am" - ummmm and I was working since 7 am! And you wasted another hour of my life not honoring my appointment. If I left the car overnight they wouldn't give me a ride back. What shitty service for a regular customer of several years. I look forward to getting rid of my car and never dealing with you lazy folks again. In the meantime, please don't give appointments for fun if you don't plan to honor them. My experience with Star Ford Glendale has been very disappointing. After multiple repairs for water pump failures, my vehicle is now facing an alternator failure. When I explained to my advisor that I believed this new issue could be related to the strain caused by the repeated water pump failures they repaired, the only option they offered was for me to pay for the repair out of pocket. Because of this, I contacted Ford Customer Service directly. They informed me that for Ford to consider whether this repair could be covered due to the previous issues, the dealer must submit a claim. However, I have not received confirmation that Star Ford Glendale has submitted the claim, despite my follow-ups. This lack of support and communication, coupled with the financial burden of paying for a rental car while my vehicle is at the dealer, has been extremely frustrating. I urge Star Ford Glendale to properly address this matter, submit the claim to Ford, and provide me with the case details. One might imagine a team of sharp, dedicated professionals ready to tackle my back window replacement with all the skill and speed of a pit crew. What I got was more of a shuffle-around-and-sigh team. The service representative? Picture someone who'd rather be anywhere else. Knowledgeable? Not remotely. Apathetic? You bet. Speedy? Only if we're talking about the rate at which they drained my hopes for a job well done. The Ford Service Rep also mentioned at the desk, "I hate this place," Most service representatives contact you within minutes of completing your maintenance repairs. At Star Ford Lincoln, it's cryptic texts. 'wont have the window in until after the weekend...', after weekend, '....ready in 2 hours,....let you know.....' , next day, '...adhesive is drying....just have to finish a report...' I gave up. I simply returned and stood by the service desks until someone had to address me. It turns out that all that was needed was three minutes to complete the invoice. But wait, the cherry on top: When I finally (finally!) got my car back, the dreaded check engine light was on, as if to say, "Oh, you thought you were done?" It was not on when I brought the car in. Back I went, "The tech accidentally unplugged something." was the Ford Service Rep's answer. This brings me to my next point: Do you remember that "full inspection" they promised? It turns out it was not documented. No reports were printed, no notes were given. I knew that my car needed transmission fluid and that the brakes needed to be replaced. Did they see the problem? No. If they had found these issues I would have given them my business. But judging from how they run their shop, they hate money. They likely get nervous if their profits increase. It was the worst experience in my life. The Service Advisor was Seta Alexanian. First, she did not believe me that I an appointment. Secondly, she said she's never hear of a recall on my car. Thirdly, she left me waiting in my car for several minutes to confirm what I just told her. Fourth, she just stood there in front of my car like I can read her mind that I should get the hell out of my car so she can do whatever. Fifth, then when I told her to tell me that she should tell me what she wanted or needed, she just left me waiting for another half an hour and never came back. One of the best car buying experiences I've had in a long time. Unlike other dealerships where salesmen are hassling you as soon as you hit the lot, the folks at Star Ford were laid back and easy to talk to. I was in the market for a hybrid truck but when they did not have the model I wanted, I walked away without any issue. That spoke volumes because usually most salesmen try and undercut you and sell on something else where they can make commission on. I returned later that day (after going to four other dealerships) and checked out their pre-owned selection of hybrids. Turns out they had a model I liked and that fit my budget. I had an appointment for Star Ford Lincoln mobile diagnostic on 03/17/2026. They didn't show up on time for the scheduled appointment or call to let me know if any delays. They showed up hours late and had to come out two different days. I was told Parts would be ordered for my display screen and never got a follow up phone call. They were supposed to do an update because my engine is making humming noises and needed an update. I can't even get an answer about that!! Then they were texting me about somebody else's vehicle In error. In addition I was driving on the freeway with my infant grandson on 3/22/26 when the Shift System Fault warning system went off and I lost power to the vehicle. Since LAST WEEK I've been calling Jenny Pineda: I've left voice mail messages, text messages, and email messages for her and then ANYBODY to call me back. I left a message for Manny this morning. It's after 6:00 pm and still nobody is returning my messages or numerous calls BEGGING for a return call. I haven't been able to drive my car for over a week! I've never been so disappointed! STAY AWAY!!! Ford should not allow this place to exist!! Both myself and my partner have Fords (I have a C-Max, he has a Mustang convertible) and we have both had a bunch of really bad experiences here. So after years I finally need to write a review to warn other people. Some of the things that have happened over the years : there was a recall from Ford, I came here to get it fixed. Then months later get a notice from Ford basically saying that this dealership pretended to fix it but did nothing. Which is insane. It was a door latch issue; my door could have opened when I was on the freeway and I could have died. So yeah there's that one. Also, I got something repaired for around $600, only to find they actually hadn't repaired it. Notice a pattern here? My boyfriend has also come multiple times to get brake pads replaced, and instead they charged for other work he didn't need and didn't do the brake pads when they're almost completely worn out. They also left the top to his Mustang down and left it outside in the rain when he left it for repairs. His driver's seat was also damaged when he picked it up. He's still in warranty and he's literally brought it in SEVEN times here to try to get some electrical issues and other stuff fixed that are still covered. But they just give him the run around, said it's a "minor issue" and just re-set the computer and WILL NOT FIX IT even though they are supposed to under warranty!!! So yeah in summary - they lie and are completely incompetent, in ways that could literally actually kill you. Don't do it. Don't!!! Guess I'm gonna need to find another Ford dealer. If anyone has suggestions, seriously, please let me know, because I can never go back here again. THE WORST!!!!! read more

(Beware of service department) I have taken my 2020 Mustang to Star Ford's service department twice. And both times were huge disappointments. I expected to pay a little extra because my car is not under warranty, but I decided to go to Star Ford because I trusted they would know my car best..(not) First visit I paid nearly $300 to have my e-brake repaired after it snapped randomly. No recall. They said it was fixed, but months later I discovered the driver side e-brake was never fixed and was not connected. I only found out when my car started rolling down hills with the brake fully engaged....had to get fixed elsewhere. Second visit I brought the car in for a loud ticking noise in the exhaust. They brushed it off as "normal" after comparing it to other Mustangs. Wrong again -- something was broken inside the resonator and clanking around. no recall. I had to get it repaired elsewhere. After two failed visits and wasted money, I can't trust this service department at all. Honestly I doubt I will ever buy another Ford again. read more

I'm very tardy writing this review, but I keep getting more and more angry as time passes. First, I went in about 2 years ago to buy out my lease. The finance guy said he was "throwing in the same warranty I had with my lease". Great. My total loan amount was about $3k more than I thought it would be - but it was my first time purchasing a car and maybe there were additional costs that I wasn't aware of? Turns out he did not "throw" it in - once I looked at the paperwork I see they charged me for it! My fault that I didn't look more thoroughly and ask questions, but the guy seemed very honest and genuine -- I had recently lost my mom and he shared that he recently lost his too. Who bonds with someone over the loss of a parent and then screws them over?!?! To top it off, I'm paying interest on this extended warranty that i would have NEVER purchased -- because one thing I do know is they're worthless. Fast forward to about a year ago I go there to get my oil changed. (They found additional issues that would have cost me over $750 and of course weren't covered -- I declined.) Very shortly after my engine light comes on. A week later I go fill my tank and I have a hell of a time getting it started. Do some research and 99.9% sure it's the purge valve. And 99.9% sure they caused it - but I had no real proof. I've been waiting to get it fixed cuz it wasn't crucial. Finally I start calling around, and another Ford dealership quotes $850 for the fix (which is crazy cuz I got another quote for $500 and I thought that was high). So they f'd me over with the buy-out, and then f'd me over due to their carelessness. And the other dealership f's me over with a crazy quote. Love my Ford. HATE their dealerships. read more

Came in to get my radio and left driver side back door panel fixed. Waited 2 weeks for the repair then when i finally got my car back I noticed a few days later that my door panel was still popping out. When I contacted Nichole (Nicole?) who was responsible for overseeing the service of my vehicle she completely gaslit me (see text message attached) that they were not instructed to fix my door panel even though she confirmed (see other text message attached) and it showed in the paperwork (see screenshot attached) that Jesus fixed the panel and I was charged $205 for the service. Then when I spoke to Manny, Nichole's manager, he was incredibly rude to me and not sorry at all for the confusion or inconvenience. I've never had such poor service, I miss the nice guy who liked horses. Manny should get more training on customer service and so should Nichole. Don't do service here unless you want shady stuff like this to happen. Giving 2 stars because the guy who ended up fixing it on the fly (as they should have in the first place) was nice and confirmed the pin replacement this time (though it's super shady that they didn't replace the pins in the first place). read more

I wish i could give Star Ford Glendale service department minus 5 stars. Their automatic scheduling and phone system - not to mention their annoying "music" choices while you wait - are horrible. Over a period of several days Eddie Gonzales never gave me a status report, nor responded to texts or VM. When i tried t pick up my car when the service concluded I waited 3 hours with no information and eventually discovered they managed to kill the battery and the alternator because somebody couldn't figure out how to turn off the alarm (the clicker was right there). Then they wanted me to pay another $2000 for their mistake. after a few days they fixed it at no charge but I had to go back two more times (total of 4 trips( because first they messed up the radio, then I discovered the knob for air conditioning and heat was just twirling around. The car had originally nothing whatsoever wrong with it, I just decided to have preventative work done. Unbelievable! read more

My 2021 Ford Explorer started to lag when going into reverse. The lag would vary between 3 to 10 seconds, which seemed longer the warmer it was. Since I was staying in Burbank, I called Star Ford first around the first week in May to schedule transmission service. I was immediately told that they could not take my vehicle in. I requested to schedule a future date and that was not possible either. I then called the next closest, which was Galpin Ford. I was told the exact same thing. A real head scratcher. In my head, I was thinking, "What's going on Ford?!" I called Star and Galpin again the following week and was told the same thing again. They didn't even provide any reason as to why. Giving them both only two stars because it seems like they didn't want to take a warranty job. Smh. I would give one star, but I'm being generous giving them another star because they answered the phone. I called Dowtown LA Ford and they at least allowed me to make an appointment for 6/1/22. Woke up early that day and spent a total of two hours on the rode to run the errand. When I arrived, I was told there would be no telling or guarantee that they would be able to fix my vehicle. They had a transmission person starting that day, but they were already backed up. I was told they had a customer's vehicle there for almost a month. Hearing that, I decided to not drop off the vehicle. In the end, I shipped my Ford to Honolulu, HI. It arrived on island on 10/21/22. I made an appointment at Honolulu Ford for 11/2/22. I gave a list of things: transmission, oil change, tire rotation, and fix a seat moulding. I dropped it off at 7am, they sent me home in a Lyft. I was told I should hear something in the afternoon. I was fully prepared to be without the car for a week or two. Got a call at 3:14pm from Ford and they told me my vehicle was ready for pick up. What?! They even sent a Lyft to get me and bring me to Ford. The experience at Honolulu Ford was excellent. Star and Galpin are nowhere close to their league. read more

Made a service appointment for 7:30am on Monday for a warranty issue on a truck that was purchased from Star Ford in February. By Wednesday morning the truck had not been looked at and was still in line for "diagnosis". After attempting phone calls with nothing returned, I had to text my service advisor and was told they need 1-2 days to diagnose the vehicle, it was day three and they had not looked at it. They do not tell you this when making the appointment so plan on your vehicle sitting in there parking lot for three days, which defeats the purpose of an appointment. They don't provide loaner vehicles until your vehicle is diagnosed, likely the reason being they don't have to provide a loaner until they know they can fix the issue resulting in $160+ in uber costs out of my pocket for a brand new vehicle under warranty. Attached are the text conversations with the service advisor, since they do not do phone calls. Warranty issue was software for the car alarm and break pads constantly squeaking on a new car. So a software update and changing break pads, maybe two hours of work. I decided to pickup the vehicle after just having the car alarm issue resolved as they told me they would be able to look at the breaks until the following day. Resulting in being out of a vehicle for four days for maybe two hours of work. Will take the truck to another place for the remainder of the work. The customer service needs to improve in the service department. Might as well explain my experience during the purchase of the vehicle below as well. Typically when you purchase a new vehicle the dealership will wash the car for you. New car expectation is clean. They wet the vehicle and the salesman told me there was nobody onsite to dry it, so at time of purchasing a $100K car from them I drove off the lot with a wet vehicle and had to pay out of pocket the next day for my vehicle to be cleaned. I also live 6 minutes from the dealership and asked for a ride so that I could pickup my other car. They refused resulting in me leaving my vehicle on their lot overnight and having to lyft back in the morning to pickup. I was a little taken back at the time, but with the recent service experience little things all add up and it seems they are lacking all over in the customer service department here. I personally would not do business with them again and for my next Ford will be going somewhere else. read more

I was ready to get a new car and knew exactly what I wanted. I was recommended to Andy and Brian at Star Ford, so I went to the dealership and met with them. I told them I wanted a new Ford Explorer ST model, Silver with the middle seat bench model not pilot. Apparently, the new models come with pilot middle seats, they explained that in order to get the bench seat I would have to build my own Explorer through their website, which I did. I told them it was a deal breaker if the car did not have bench seats. I patiently waited for my new Explorer to be build and when it arrived it had the bench seat. When we first arrived, nobody said hello or let us know what to do or where to go. We waited in the car in the service line for awhile. We had to get out of the car and ask a lady standing behind the service glass door. . But her attitude was not welcoming and seemed like we were bothering her. She told us with an unhappy face to wait at the car!!! Mind you, this is during a super heat wave. Finally, Amy came to help us. She was very helpful, friendly and positive! We took our Mach E in for a big recall, maintenance and tire rotation. We brought it in on Thursday and expected to get it back by Monday. However, there was no call or text or email for any update on Monday. So we had to contact them to follow up. We got our car back on Tuesday. Our car was more dirty than when we brought it in. We had a car wash and wax a day before the service...a little disappointed they didn't wash the car. Most of the German car service centers clean the cars before returning them....even economy VW. A nice thing was they provided a rental car $40 a day thru Enterprise. We have to pay tax from our pocket. But they shuttle you to and from. Overall not bad like many of the reviews on here have stated but I think Ford can definitely refine their service for their customers. read more

In early May we brought our car into Star Ford in Glendale, CA. Due to the check engine light, not extinguishing. It was there for four days and we paid over $300 for services that were not covered under our warranty. Apparently, there was a leak of the engine oil and they did a complete oil change and they said they had repaired the problem and the car was ready to be picked up. A rental car was provided due to our ESP coverage. Although, we waited two weeks and the check engine light never went off. We were forced to return to Star Ford for the problem with the check engine light and we are disabled seniors and this is difficult for us with our wheelchair., Walkers and cane. We were told by a very arrogant person Seta that the car would be seen by the department that handles that situation. And that again a rental car would be provided which it was. Nobody helped us, so we had to leave our equipment in our car. We called daily to Manny the service manager, who was never available to find out when the car would be ready. We told those in charge that ESP only allowed us 10 days of free rental, but they did not even look at the car for 9 days. After we were told that the car would be looked at the following day when the technician will be back by Seta. That did not happen and we called continually always talking to voicemail. After nine days of the car being there we were finally told that the car needed a new engine. Due to the problem that we were told had already been fixed. Not only are we disabled seniors on a fixed budget and we were shown no courtesy. Besides the $300 that we have already spent, we then had to pay out-of-pocket for additional week and a half of car rental. We were finally able to pick up our car. They didn't even look at the car for nine days and then took three more days to fix the problem. In all our years of driving, we have only driven Ford cars. We have always trusted their service and I've never had a problem. We are disappointed, not only as loyal customers, but to be so disrespected as disabled seniors is sad and shameful. Perhaps because we are seniors they thought it was OK to mistreat us and take advantage, but it is not. If you absolutely MUST go to a dealer (I recommend against it, go to the Noho location) The first sign should have been that they asked to buy my car when I got on site. After keeping my car for five days citing that he "couldn't find the issue," Nelson tried to charge me $2300 for something that I got done for $400 at another mechanic (J&E Complete Auto is just around the corner from Ford and SO GOOD and transparent). When I told him this, he yelled "GOOD FOR YOU" and then he forced me to pay $400 for a vague diagnosis that was - in the end - incorrect. He also claimed that his mechanics completed a required tire rotation, charged me for it, and then never actually updated Carfax, and I don't believe they created the word. NEVER GO HERE. Yes 18 months!!! My truck was delivered. Star Ford kept their word from top to bottom. They had told me that MSRP price will stand, & it did. My sales person was Sasha / Manger Brian Evans. Both did their part exceptionally well with getting the deal done in a jiffy. They even washed my truck. They filled up my 48 gallon DIESEL tank (valued at $250-$300), promised me price protection (via rebate), & everything in between. I am beyond satisfied with my experience with Star Ford.. If you want to waste all your day (7 hours) for getting a car on lease while you have all your documents ready and a co signer but you want to end the day listening that you and your co signer is not approved (My Co signer has 790 credit score) then you can go to this dealer. At first they took our information and ssn, than ran our credit and after a while came back saying we are approved for the deal. Then when we selected our desired car then again we are told to wait and after a while they first came up with that my ssn shows someone else's name. Hearing this I ran to the nearest ssn office and i was told at ssn office that there's nothing like that. Then again i came back at the dealer and the salesman said to come back after a while as he's dealing with another customer. We came back after 30 minutes and waited another 25 minutes inside the dealer. Then the fun part begins! We told the salesman that if you're having trouble with my ssn then let my co signer take the car on his name. After another 30 minutes the salesman came with the news that my co signer doesn't have enough credit score. Listening to this just made me laugh because i showed the credit score of my co signer and he has been in the USA for last 20 years owning multiple businesses and house. We wasted 7 hours of the day just to hear this bullshit stuffs. Me, my wife and my cosigner left the place after almost 7 hours being disheartened and disappointed. I never had such a worst experience ever in any dealer. I would never suggest anyone to go to this dealer even I would never recommend anyone to buy ford. Worst dealer ever in this area! read more
