I made an appointment with a specific nail tech. I was greeted by her and seated, then she said another tech would be starting my manicure (first ever). She never came back. I decided to give it another shot because I had originally had a great pedicure there and was disappointed again. called this morning to book an appt for two pedicures at 3pm. we arrive at 3:01 my time 3:05 on their clock they say no problem. we each get in our chair and feet go in the tub. the girl asks me what pedicure we want i pick the $50 one. I take the mango he gets cucumber melon. she starts my pedicure while he waits for 30 minutes. they're sorry we understand no worries. so i ask the girl if she can do a manicure after my pedi since he won't be done when i'm done , sure no problem. pedicure is good manicure not so much and very very basic no cuticle cream just a soak, she cut the cuticles & the nails did a quick hand massage with lotion. i requested no polish just a buff she said $5 more i said i'll do it at home. so i pay leave tips and my bad i didn't do the math in my head. i did that in the car we should've been charged $118. and was charged $143.00 so i called and they told me i had the $60 pedicures and i promise we did not and that means they charged me for the $23.00 manicure as well. live and learn we won't be back read more

This place is awesome! Friendly staff, very clean, relaxed environment. I showed the nail tech the picture of what I wanted and she did exactly that. Prices are very reasonable. I messed up my nails getting into my car and they repainted every nail...and did it with a smile. Great place, will definitely be back. read more

Service was rendered then and I was asked to come back but not only was the service that day horrible but the employees were rude and disrespectful also I left a message on Venmo about the service I think the day of or day after and was asked to come back but after the damage that was already done to my nails and feet with the cuts and how rudely I was treated when there why would I ever want to come back to that place. I will never return to this nail spa again I should be refunded my money because not only did you embarrass me in front of other customers by me being cut multiple times and each time I flinched in pain or made a small noise I was treated like I was the one with the issue but I was being hurt numerous times my nails are so damaged from that person doing them that day that I can't even get fake nails because she destroyed my real nail so bad here's a picture of one of the nails that was filed down so far it split I was cut and bleed under the nail. So while you might not do refunds then you should hire people that aren't going to cut people and destroy peoples nails. read more

This place is great! Sent a message about wanting to make an apt the next day, and Katie responded within minutes even after business hours. My 16 year old daughter and I don't pamper ourselves at all, but we will be definitely be coming here on a regular. They are super nice and tend to you asking if you'd like a drink and making sure the water was the right temp during our spa pedicure. It was my daughters first time getting her nails done and they kind of educated her on the best option for her virgin nails. They even guarantee a free touch up to her gel nail polish if it got chipped or ruined. Paid less than. $100 on 2 spa pedis and a gel mani for my daughter. That was a bargain (of course I don't know the going rate cause it isn't a thing we do) for the service and quality we received. Very hygienic also. Last time I got a pedicure at another place, my feet itches like crazy and turned red afterwards. Which discouraged me to get them done. Went here for the first time tonight after reading great reviews. I've had nails for many years and I needed a new set (and the old taken off). I kept pulling my hand back in a reflex due to how badly it hurt when she was taking off the old set. I thought maybe my nail beds were extra sensitive...until one of them started bleeding. When she started on my second hand another nail was ripped off to where the skin of the nail bed was exposed (a thin line). Every one of my nail beds burned when product was put on them and they're still super sore an hour later. You can see how torn up the nails underneath are (French tips). They took covid precautions more seriously then I have seen anyone take them since this entire thing has started. I was nervous at first as it was my first time out for anything but groceries but when I got there they had a whole routine down that made me feel safe and relieved. Once you went in they had you use hand sanitizer first. They then took your temperature with an infrared forehead thermometer. Next you scan a sign with your phone that leads you to a page to sign that you accept the service and basic procedures during these times and the risks. They had the acrylic dividers at every manicure station and even long ones to cover you at the pedicure stations. The workers were very accommodating to every customer that had come in while I was there. They wore masks and required the customers wear one as well of course. My pedicure was done well and the man who had done my full set of acrylics did the shape so well that I got compliments on the shape from my sisters and strangers. The only thing that stopped me from giving five stars was because I had made an appointment for a full set and pedicure which I had confirmed with the lady over the phone as she repeated my service back to me before saying they'll see me tomorrow yet the man who did my full set said he did not see my pedicure appointment in the books. Ironically, he sat me down in the pedicure chair already and he failed to say he didn't see my appointment for the pedicure until it seemed like a problem when a customer tried to get a walk in pedicure and the amount of nail techs wouldn't accommodate myself and the woman who walked in. They had me wait 40 minutes while they did the walk in pedicure. It was odd of them to deny my appointment and then take a walk in over myself when I had already been situated in the pedicure chair. They did not even fill the pedicure bowl for me to relax while I waited which was disappointing. I was pretty frustrated about it but all in all the service was good and the environment was safe. I was able to relax which I was so thankful for during these times. I will be back once they reopen again for a full set of acrylics for sure! read more

my friend and i went in to get a full set of acrylics done and the ladies we had were very rude and messed up really bad on both of our nails. they chose the length of the acrylics for us, and didnt even check to see if they were all even lengths (which they aren't) she also got the gel polish all over our fingers. i got glitter on some of my nails and the brush she used was dirty and had leftover glitter from someone else on it. the ladies were very rough while doing our nails. we wont be going here again. read more

This place just changed ownership and was Star Nails. I have followed Andy for a long time. Went to him when he was at Lavender Nails. He can can do just about anything and do it very well. I get ingrown toe nails on big toes and Andy has been so helpful with removing them and I've avoided having them surgically removed for some time which is awesome. My daughter had her nails done by Minh (mean) is his nickname. Turned out great! They are now using O.P.I. gel nail Polish line that includes 3D nail Polish and mood changing nail polish for a little bit of an up grade. $5.00 She did the mood nail polish which is really neat. The services they do here includes eyebrow waxing, eyelash extensions, facials, manicures, pedicure, fills, ect. Competetive prices with every other nail salon in Vacaville. I went in on a Sunday morning after having made an appointment days in advance for a mani/pedi for myself and my 11 year old daughter. I should have known things were going to go bad when my technician was wearing 4 inch heels. Needless to say she did a horrible job on my pedicure. She cut me because she was moving too fast. She did not apologize nor did she tend to my cut. My daughter wanted a back to school design which her technician was unable to do. She was very rude and her attitude was one of someone who did not want to be at work. I was not charged for my failed pedicure but I was overcharged for a children's mani/pedi. Should have been charged $32 but was charged $45. I was so irritated at my technician that I didn't realize this until I was headed home. I work too hard for my money. I will not be back! read more

Whew chile, i'd like to start this review by saying at the very beginning of my appointment the woman about to service me recognized me and we talked about how Ive came here a few times with my friend whose a regular. so I came here because I was nearby and thought i'd give another chance only to find out mid pedicure that I got a fungus on my big toe. The last place I got them done was here on my bday. As she is scraping under my big tow I noticed the discoloration and asked what it was and the first thing she blurtes out was "its not a fungus". That wasnt even what came to my mind but after she said that and keeps telling me its not a fungus I decided to send a picture to my mom who is a nurse and has been for some 25+ years, with only sending her a picture she goes "eww you have a fungus". The woman told me it was a callus under my toe and that i need to ask people to scrape under my toes when i get them done, but really a callus?!? So now I have a fungus and i had to go buy anti fungal cream for it! How gross ive never had a fungus before any other shop ive gone too, will for sure stay away from this place! read more

The last time I was here I called to make a appointment with Lynn, I needed a fill. It was abThursday and she told me to come Tuesday, this was something she did often. My friend wanted(new customer)to go that day so I was ok with going with another staff. When my friend and I got there to my surprise lynn was available and took my friend, I was with another nail tech. In less than 24hours my nails were breaking so I called the next day(friday) to have them repaired, I spoke to Lynn and she stated to come Tuesday (like she stated at first) since she didn't have time because apparently my nails take longer. She became upset because I didn't understand why it would 3 days just for a repair, she then told me to come on Wednesday, so now 4 days. I said ok after she rushed me off the phone. When I came Wednesday she then wanted me to go with another tech after she made me wait 4 days for HER to repair them.. She gave me a refund after telling me she refuses to do my nails. On top of so many other things, and Lynn getting upset about me questioning why I had to wait 4 days for repair. Star nails will not be somewhere I will ever recomend to anyone. read more
