I truly wish I could write a better review. They have been very friendly and accommodating every time I've gone in. I think their prices are reasonable and I truly enjoy the experience of getting my nails done here. BUT... every single time I've gone, my gel nails chip in just two days. It's happened consecutively to the point where I have had to make the decision to find a new spot. The gel polish on my pedicure chipped in 5 days and I hadn't even had a chance to rock anything other than my crocs at home. Unfortunately, the quality of the product they use is cheap. My gel polish lasts about 2 weeks, if not more, at other places that are further away. I'll just trek the additional mileage to have longer lasting polish. read more

I called right when they opened and made an appointment for acrylic nail removal. I am not a nail girl. So this review is solely for nail removal. My birthday was coming and I was feeling myself so I decided to go all out and get acrylics! Who am I?! I haven't done that since my high school prom which was over 20 years ago. Anyway, 3 weeks pass and I am just feeling a bit ghetto with my grown out acrylics. I am a professional, and I certainly did not feel like one at this point. I head over to my scheduled acrylic nail removal appointment and was seated right away. Excellent nail removal, filing, buffing, and cuticle oil was done in 10 minutes! This service was for a reasonable price of ten dollars. I love it here. And I love myself again. I'm going to take a rest from getting my nails done. They can breathe, finally. read more

Excellent Service ! The nail salon was clean and modern. I decided to see if they would take me as a walk in while my boyfriend shopped at the tackle store next door. I had pain on one of toes so really needed a good pedicure. They started working on me right away. When it came time to my toe that felt like an ingrown they did an outstanding job at making sure they removed what was causing the pain. Naturally there was some bleeding which I was okay with because I wanted it out and resolved. They did a great job at applying alcohol and then it seemed like some topical ointment/antibiotic that they applied afterwards. The pedicure looks great I'm super happy with the final results! I would definitely recommend this place too. Too bad I'm not local and just happened to be in the area. read more

Joanne was very nice and helpful, she made sure I was happy with my nails. I enjoy coming to this location because it's very nice and clean. I love coming here to get my toes done! I use to come here for three years and than Joanne left and things changed. Now that Joanne is back I'm back as well. Joanne is super friendly and always goes out of her way to make sure you are satisfied. I also got my lashes done there and I'm so in love. The lady (can't remember her name) was so gentle with me. Cannot believe how rude my nail tech was. I bring my own tools because we all know these salons don't sterilize anything, she makes this rude look of disgust and says "do you even clean these?" I said "yes, and they are only used by me." (See photos) She continued to keep making annoyed faces and disgust faces and talking crap to me about how crappy my "tools are" even though I bought the kit from another salon and have never had any other nail tech tell me they were bad. The 5 minutes massage that's supposedly included was a whole 2 minutes and 9 seconds... oh and it's JULY and they no AC running, you will be sweating the entire time with your feet soaking in hot water. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

My two daughters in law and I went for our holiday nails. They have great customer service. Not all nail techs are equal, but are adequate. They forgot the top coat and scrub of my spa pedicure, but did give me the full seven minute massage. My full set came out great. The design came out just as I wanted and asked for. They have quickly become my go to place! My granddaughter and I went back two days later and they gave me no problem slapping a top coat on quickly. I had them give my granddaughter a holiday polish also. Again, get job, nail tech was excellent with her. read more

I was in the area visiting some family the other day and all of my cousins decided it would be an amazing idea to get our nails done and just have a relaxing girls day. We went on yelp and this salon was one of the first few that popped up. With 3 1/2 stars, we were skeptical but still optimistic and therefore went. Let me tell you straight up that THIS SALON IS WAY BETTER THAN ITS RATING OF 3 1/2 STARS!!! I would give them more than 5 stars if it were possible. We were all greeted so warm and kindly by the employees the moment we walked in. We also noticed that the salon was by far one of the cleanest salons we had ever been to! All the tools came from fresh new packaging and you could even see employees cleaning them again to make them EXTRA CLEAN even after taking them out of the already sealed/disinfected package. Moving onto all of our nail designs. My cousins got acrylics and being them, they love getting complex designs on their acrylics but everyone was super attentive and accommodating and did it precisely, cleanly, and efficiently. I will upload a picture when of my cousin's nails when I get the chance. As for myself, I just wanted to clean my toes up a little (because I am an athlete) and decided to get a pedicure. They were so careful and they definitely left my feet feeling fresh and as if they were brand new (if that makes sense). Overall, definitely check out this salon if you are in the area and don't let their rating turn you away because the staff is very accommodating, the salon is extremely clean, and their work is the best! read more

Got my toes and hands done for the first time here and this is for sure, the last. Customer Service was good, prices were reasonable but the quality unfortunately was not. My cuticles are shot. The nail shape is very ugly and my nails already feel like I need a fill when I run my hands through my hair. Still paid and tipped cause I respect the hustle, but training is definitely needed here. read more

I truly wanted this nail salon to work out but every time I've come in I have a weird experience and I think today is my last straw. I came in today asking for a gel manicure. As the nail tech sat down I casually asked if dip was stronger than gel. She said dip was stronger so I went ahead and chose dip instead of gel. She proceeded to do my color first which I thought was strange but didn't want to question her methods because, in my past experience with this nail tech, I've learned that she doesn't not like to be questioned. She finished my nails but only did the color. I said to her that she hadn't even cleaned my cuticles or anything that the manicure should've included (minus the color). She spoke to me as if I was dumb and said that when customers want dip that it usually isn't done with a manicure. She said if I wanted my cuticles cleaned then I should've mentioned it before she did the color and she also said that now I know this I won't be making the same mistake next time. I was so thrown off because I thought by saying I wanted a manicure that would mean I would get my cuticles cleaned and all of the steps that a manicure entails. She seemed irritated and quickly cleaned my cuticles but didn't do a thorough job. I was charged an extra fee for that too. If you try this salon I hope you have a better experience than I had. read more

This is my go to place for the best manicures and pedicures. The staff is very professional, the shop is clean and well run. They take their time to do a good job consistently, even when they are busy. Their acrylics are very nice and friends that I've brought here for that service are always pleased. They have a huge selection of colors in gel and regular polishes so you can always find what you want. I love coming here and you will too. read more

Their work is consistently excellent, which is why I've often recommended them to friends and family. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the salon's management and front desk staff. Their scheduling and customer service are extremely disorganized, and they seem to have little regard for the customer experience. The salon routinely overbooks technicians and assigns walk-in clients to technicians who already have upcoming appointments. Despite making appointments every time I've visited, I've regularly been forced to wait 15-30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, even though I make a point of arriving early as a courtesy. My most recent experience was the final straw. I scheduled both a lash lift and an acrylic fill. When I called, the receptionist told me my lash appointment would be at 5:00 PM and my nail appointment at 6:00 PM. However, the text confirmation I received only listed a 6:00 PM appointment. On previous visits, I had been told by the front desk that appointments are not considered booked without a text confirmation, so I reasonably assumed the salon had adjusted my schedule and moved the lash appointment. When I arrived at 6:00 PM, the receptionist informed me that the text confirmation was incorrect, my lash appointment had actually been at 5:00 PM, and I had missed it. No apology was offered, nor did anyone attempt to rebook the service. I then asked if I could still proceed with my 6:00 PM nail appointment, only to be told that my nail technician would not be available for another hour. The receptionist blamed the delay on my technician's timing, which was both inappropriate and inaccurate. I've worked with the same technician for two years, and she has always been professional, efficient, and respectful of her appointment schedule. It was clear that the salon had double-booked over my appointment. Their only solution was for me to return at 7:00 PM, which was not possible given my schedule. This experience was incredibly frustrating because I genuinely love the work of the nail technicians. However, I can no longer tolerate the level of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of accountability from management. As a result, I will not be returning, and I can no longer recommend this salon to others. The business needs to get control of its scheduling and customer volume before more loyal customers have similar experiences.

She has a quaint studio in Downey and it was relaxing and the natural light was amazing. I met Kate a long time ago and visited her at her previous location in Lakewood. Her husband took portraits as part of the special. I admire her for doing this and will definitely be back for another lash lift and facial.

During one of my visits, I experienced a situation where an employee was speaking about me in another language, and it made me feel singled out and uncomfortable. Based on the interaction, I felt that I was being treated differently, and I believed there may have been racial bias involved. I brought my concerns to the owner, hoping to resolve the issue professionally. Instead, I was told that I was no longer welcome at the business because I had missed an appointment. That missed appointment occurred while my grandmother was hospitalized, and I believe the circumstances were not taken into consideration. The owner also told me that the staff had held a meeting about me, which made the situation even more upsetting. After my experience, I no longer feel comfortable supporting this business, and I wanted to share what happened so others can make their own informed decisions before choosing to go I also want to mention that a similar situation happened to my friend, who is also a person of color. Based on both of our experiences, I believe there is a pattern in how customers of color are treated. Dora was also very rude and unprofessional throughout these interactions. My father is an attorney, and he will be taking legal action regarding my experience with this business. My friends are also looking for new lash techs and will no longer support business . They just lost a lot of customers The owner reached out and is still not taking accountability. I told them that I had an issue and they never acknowledged the discrimination that I faced. Second of all I've sent many customers there and I've always been on time during the grace period . So don't make an excuse as if that's the problem. Third of all, I've only gone to Chelsea and only liked Chelsea so they could've continued to book me with her instead discredit my feelings and told me that I wasn't welcome because I brought an issue to them now they want to respond because they know that they are wrong and again we will be taking legal matters. Also, now I have proof that you just told somebody that they said that they were discriminated and not to make that as an excuse that's worse on you. I also reached out to the business several times trying to resolve it through text and they blocked me and never Responded, They're only acknowledging me because it makes their business look bad me and me and Chelsea never had issues. She would even talk to me about her kids schooling troubles, so you're making up excuses. That was a troubling experience however I have found a salon, more professional, and the quality is way better than Moon Lash. Please take your money somewhere else. They do not acknowledge you and it is not worth it. When I shared my experience, they couldn't believe that happened. They have never had to tell a customer because of a complaint. They are no longer welcome.
