My go to salon was in East Meadow for several years but after covid the prices increased as their quality of service decreased. This prompted me to explore my options and of course I took to Yelp and found star nails which had a good number of positive reviews. I made an appointment for Saturday for myself and my husband. The salon is located in a small strip mall across from Carman Ave Veterinarian hospital. The parking lot is on the small side so I can see parking being an issue at time. The appearance of the salon is pretty basic like most salons in the area. Upon entering we were greeted by the owner and she was very friendly and welcoming. We were directed to the pedicure area in the rear of the salon. The massage chairs were in good condition and all the surfaces and floors appeared to be well maintained and clean. We opted for the classic spa pedicure which was nice, the technicians were meticulous and efficient. We had the standard manicure my husband had his nails buffed instead of polished and they did very nice job. The owner did my manicure and she was engaging not overbearing like some of the other salons I had frequented in the past. Very positive experience and will be returning in a couple of weeks.

5 stars isn't enough! I have been going to Star Nails since 2017, and I never intend on going anywhere else. Star Nails is easily the best nail salon on Long Island. Sophia (the owner) and her team of nail technicians all have unrivaled talent. They are patient, meticulous, and are very artistic. They also truly care about their customers. Sophia always warmly greets me with a "hi there, Valerie!" and engages in long conversations with me, asking about events going on in my life. The whole staff is sweet and kindhearted. I also appreciate that I never have felt pressured to pay for something I don't want. The first time I went there, I explained to them I don't want to come in often because I have a heavy, unpredictable work schedule. So they recommended I get the power gel manicure because it is durable and looks great for a long time. I get my nails done on average only once a month and they look great for all of that time! Finally, Star Nails is extremely clean, and they still enforce a mask-wearing policy. As someone who works in healthcare, I appreciate their efforts to keep their customers safe. It is much appreciated! I will happily continue to go to Star Nails for years to come!

Just had the first pedicure since the pandemic started! & That was one ill remember!! They recently started offering Sunday appts and that's my day off, plus I'm new to the area and need to find a new salon. I saw reviews and called. Very nice, courteous and informative staff. I got all the info I needed with barely any questions asked. My pedicure was amazing!!!!! Usually when I go on a Sunday to a nail salon, it's packed and chaotic. Perfect, calming relaxing and CLEAN! I'm very impressed and will recommend. *Prices are average as well. *

Let me just say .. I've tried LOTS of nail salons around Westbury within the past decade and Star Nails is by far the BEST. Pricing is super reasonable, so many different services / colors, & the customer service is absolutely phenomenal. Sophia goes above and beyond to make every single one of her customers feel special. I'm actually shocked there's a review on here saying Sophia is rude .. that's absurd! She is so sweet and literally knows every single one of her regular customers names and all about the special occasions going on in their lives. She is a sweetheart!! I usually get a spa pedicure & powder gel manicure once a month here. I'm due to go back next week as it's been exactly four weeks since my last mani pedi and I needed to share how amazing my nails still look after FOUR WEEKS! Blanca did an amazing job!!! I love Star nails.. thank you!!

I will never not come here whenever I happen to be on Long Island. A $15 mani pedi with tons of colors to choose from?! Amen. If you're looking for a luxury nail salon this isn't it, but if you're okay with a no frills mani pedi head on over. Warning - this place gets packed out on the weekends, so come early or call ahead to avoid the wait.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I have been a customer for over 20 years. Star Nails is by far the best nail salon on Long Island. Sophia and her staff are phenomenal technicians. They cater to each customer's individual nail needs and are beyond personable when you are sitting in one of their chairs. Sophia, the owner, maintains such cleanliness throughout your appointment and now especially with COVID protocols, she keeps the salon even more in compliance with safety protocols. I highly recommend the star pedicure- makes me feel like I have new feet. The pedicure girls all do a wonderful job and make your pedicure feel so relaxing. I fall asleep everytime with the 10 minute massage. This goes the same for my manicures. They last for a while and my nails always look on point. It is an appointment that I always look forward to!

I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon after one of my gel nails tragically broke. I did wait for some time but Shelly and Sophie worked on my nails simultaneously to make up for that. Shelly did such a great job with my chrome nails. I love them and will definitely be returning.

I love this nail salon they're clean, professional, and they do an amazing job. The people that work there are very kind especially the owner she's a sweetheart. When nail salons first opened after COVID she was the only salon that booked me an appointment after calling about 10. I was so impressed with my nails I decided to keep going and I still do even though I come all the way from queens. So if you want amazing looking nails definitely come here!

My mom and I went here today and this has now become our new nail salon! We had an 11:30 appointment for a pedicure. I had overheard one of the workers calling a woman because she forgot about her appointment and then told her that they take their appointments seriously, which was a plus in my book because most places don't take appointments seriously and you end up waiting for an appointment you made. So if you're looking for a place where you can just walk in and get your nails done, this may not be the place because you'll end up waiting a long time. They even tell the workers the appointment they're in charge of ahead of time and let them know if anything changed with their appointment. First my mom and I got a pedicure and it was great! I had told them I had an open wound on my foot and they were very accommodating to me by asking me what was good to do on that foot, which is a plus in my book. They did such a good job on my toenails and they gave an awesome foot massage. Also the cream they use makes your skin feel so soft. When they were done my mom and I were drying our toenails, we loved it so much we asked if they had time for a manicure which they said yes. The manicure was amazing and they did such a good job with that too that when I went to work (I work in retail), after my shift my nails lasted! All the other nail places I've visited, if I went to work, my manicure would've chipped and/or been ruined right then and there. After we left, one of the workers was getting pizza next door and saw us in our car and waved goodbye to us which showed me that they care about their customers. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone looking for a new nail salon that does a lot of things right!

My favorite nail salon. Cindy is the best!!!! I loved my nails. This was my first time ever doing a full set. I love them and I am so glad she talked me out of getting Cardi B inspired nails for my first time. Maybe next time
