I always love coming here. Take my money, all of it. All the señorita bread is mine. I don't know what it is about these very simple little finger size pieces of bread that have just enough butter and sugar in them. They are fantastic. And when you get them, fresh, there is nothing like it. I don't know about you, but to me, this is better than even a Krispy Kreme doughnut. This is just enough sweet and just enough salty. Went here on a Friday afternoon. Its in a small plaza with some parking spots. Inside was very clean. No tables or seating. Yuli helped us out and was super nice. We've had Starbread before from family. We ordered a box and Yuri gave us a fresh batch. It was so good! Warm and sweet. Also tried the bavarian cream malasada. It was ok. Never tried it before so wasn't sure what to expect. Tastes similar to a donut but more dough. Maybe it just wasn't my thing? Did try a chocolate donut and that was good. I was in LA for an award show and drove 20 minutes out of the way to break my diet with their viral hot & fresh senorita bread. Listen! I can't vouch for anything else on their menu; and the cold, borderline soulless environment when you walk in doesn't even matter. This bread is so good it deserves 5 stars alone!! I ate 5 pieces KNOWING I had to fit into my dress the next day! It was so good- me and my partner talked about it for days! So good! I will search for seniorita bread in my home city and when nothing else compares, fly all the way back to LA just to eat it again! It was hot, fresh, perfectly sweet buttery and light. The senorita bread - oh my gosh. These are so good. They're a small very lightly sweetened bread and are baked fresh everyday. I'm not sure what makes these little suckers so delicious but they are. They're the perfect size too if you just want a little something. And they're the best for bringing to work or a party. You can buy just a few or dozens. They can be eaten room temperature but honestly they are the best served warm. I've tried the stuffed senorita breads also (pre-packed) and they are good as well the malasadas, and donuts are good too but I don't have a sweet tooth so I don't prefer them. Just love this place. Get the senorita bread, as many as you can. I've tried a bunch of the flavors (ube, pumpkin cream cheese, savory etc...) but they're all pretty light on the extra flavor so I'd just recommend getting the classic. It's like a cross between portos cheese rolls and pillsbury crescents. It's a small pickup bakery so you already know what you're getting into. Call ahead if you have a big order as they make them fresh and it takes about two hours for them to make a new batch. Great for bringing to a party and a great change up from always bringing Portos. Ok so I found this place by accident through someone's random post in a reel and I was instantly hooked by the picture of the box of señoritas this person was showing off and saying that they were so happy one opened in Cerritos. Being the lover of bread that I am I looked this chain up here in Yelp and to my shock I see there was one here where I live and close by and when I saw the ratings I knew I had to make a trip sooner than later I went this weekend after doing many errands and having lunch. Was craving a sweet something so I instantly thought let me go! As you go in you can smell the fat about to enter you and I say that in a positive way Hahaa you can smell the butter. You come to realize that the main thing they sell are these señoritas which I didn't think had anything in them but they have this buttery sugary sweet layer inside and sugar outside Oh and they are pretty small which made sense why they have in their menu numbers that go up to 60 per box and I'm like 60??! But now I get it because you can find yourself eating a handful just yourself in a sitting or standing Got lucky because it was around 3pm and I heard the girls whispering that they were about to run out for the day. OMG love at first bite. My god daughter LOVES starbread so i was like "let me see what this is all about" and it was literally love at first bite. Starbread is served freshly baked and it melts in your mouth. So good. They have other baked goods, but starbread is the star of the show lol. So tasty and very reasonably priced. Pretty sure I can eat a dozen in one sitting like its nothing haha! Located on Carson St and Main in a small shopping center with limited parking but its never been an issue. Location: Various locations all throughout the OC, Bay Area and San Jose mainly, but this one is located on Main and Carson Street in Carson. Has a shared lot, but there is plenty of parking in a small strip mall. Breads: What you really want is the original Senorita bread what they are known for. You can ask for a sample, but I warn you, you won't be able to eat just one. Pillowy soft, buttery and in 2 bites they're gone. You'll want more, trust me. They also have other fillings for the bread (nutella and cream cheese) and if I had to chose another filling, get the cream cheese one. Summary: I'm so glad this store has made it to my neck of the woods because these breads are heavenly. Bad for your thighs and hips kind of good. But oh so worth it. They are great for parties and for sharing with the office (or not) and when I tell you they are GOOD, they are that good. I just went for the first time to buy their sweet bread. So good, fresh & warm. I bought 10 for $6. They are small so get a bigger box. (Ha-ha) I did see they had other sweets such as cupcakes, brownies, & they do have prepackaged sweet bread filled with Nutella. I will try that next time! The cashier woman was very nice and a friendly smile. I ordered she went to the back a minute later or less she handed me my bread. The only negative thing I will say when I was looking for the sign to find the place is hard to see. It's the last one of the big sign facing the street but it's covered with taller plants and their lettering and graphic is just small on it. My family has been going to starbread for a while now. I'd like to say before the hype, but I'm glad it's doing well and for a good reason. It's delicious. I could never just eat one señorita bread. I've tried their other stuff but this is the star of the show. Pun intended. Every time we come, the person helping out is always so nice and accommodating. Parking, they have a small lot which I've never seen full. They don't have tables inside. It's more of a to go spot. Update! TIP: be sure to call in ahead for large orders to avoid rude service and being embarrassed in front of other customers when you walk in. Just left the store not too long ago. For a really nice store location they hire and have terrible cashier workers. 1. My aunt is 2 feet in front of you, there's no need to use your abrasive outside voice in telling her that she should have called ahead for her large order of 100 pieces. It's unpleasant having two other customers and my partner standing nearby watching this exchange awkwardly as you give her attitude snapping "we don't just have 100 pieces available." 2. Yes we didn't call in advance but while we're in the store how about a decent response to her request of 100 pieces? How about something like "since you have a large order, let me ask my manager or baker if we can make 100 pieces. If so we'll let you know how long it will take?" You only said it would take 12 minutes after my aunt asked you how long it would take to make this order. What difference would it make if we called in on the spot the order versus making the order in person lol. Chuckling in disbelief. Oh and I can't forget, my aunt tried to pay with $100 bill and then you said the store didn't take bills over 20s and then pointed to the sign below her saying "we have a sign." LOL I CANNOT with whatever attitude you woke up this morning with Yuli. Did you think my aunt was going to argue with you and throw some kind of fit? Run it back and watch how calm, classy, and probably in quiet shock she was while going through your whole exchange with her. She was willing to spend her money to support a great Pinoy business while you ruined her experience, and mine too! 3. I will never understand the audacity people have, who work and represent the front of a business, and who destroy the experiences and reputations of who they're working for! My aunt was visiting from the east coast and was looking forward to purchasing one of her favorite breads. If you're not feeling well, don't come to work! If you're miserable stay home! After Cream Pan was completely sold out on a Saturday afternoon, I remembered Starbread Bakery was also in the area and decided to stop by to pick some up for a party. Let me tell you - looks can truly be deceiving. Upon first glance, these little bread rolls might not stand out much, but once you get a taste of one of these bad boys you'll realize why customers keep coming back. At 60c a piece (regardless of what size box you get), you'll get the hottest, most buttery and perfectly sweet bite of pillowy goodness. I was quoted about a 6-7 minute wait, along with everyone else in front of me and behind me. The boxes came out in a timely manner and were piping hot to the touch. I couldn't help going for one as soon as I got in the car, but I needed to give it a moment to cool off before being able to pick up my seniorita roll and going for the bite. Came here early at 7:30 Sunday morning...got the place for myself to check it out and take pictures . The smell of freshly baked bread filled up the air and the staff was nice to let me look around first. My goal today was to try what this place is known for...Señorita bread. I know this back home as Spanish bread (though what I remember was bigger and denser so 2 breads can fill you up). Anyway, I bought their 15 pieces for $9. I chatted quickly with the staff and told me that they're also selling Señorita bread 10 pcs for $4.50 in a pack but these are the ones that got "cold" after baking (same batch during the day). They can be reheated but based on reviews bread becomes hard and just not the same when bought hot. It's true, one can't just have a couple of these...kinda addicting but after the 4th bread, the sweetness hits my palette and needed to stop lol. Bread is soft and buttery but in my opinion, may have bread that are not baked thoroughly, especially the middle part. The texture was sort of mushy and not the texture of bread soaked in butter if that makes sense. Must know in this shop is better to bring cash (or use debit card). You will be charged 3.5% surcharge for all credit transactions and there's minimum a $10 minimum for all card transactions. As for the other items that they sell, my opinion is they didn't look appetizing like the cupcakes and donuts. I'll stick with what comes out hot from the oven. I read reviews and I knew I had to come try Starbread. I went as soon as they opened and there were a few people already lining up. I ordered 50 pieces and only had to wait a couple minutes while they box it. I also bought a few empty boxes for sharing the 50. They were fresh and hot and just like every other review said, oh sooooo good! Yuli was very pleasant helping me since it was my first time. The shop was clean and also had other things like donuts, Malasadas that a customer told me are just like the ones in Hawaii!
