This place is an A+! The señorita bread never ever disappoints, and we tried a few donuts from here just to get some thing different this time. We tried the maple doughnut and the one with fruity pebbles cereal on top. They were not the best donuts in the world, although this place doesn't claim to be famous for their donuts LOL The donuts are really good and fluffy, and really hit the spot if that's some thing that you are craving. So the bread... senorita bread is sweet, buttery, melts in your mouth delicious. It is a very small location. Best times to go is first thing in the am. Bread is baked fresh and warm. It's only 1 person allowed at a time but it's because it's sooo tiny. Yes, mask is required too. Whenever I go here, I see all the yum. Try the cream filled long donuts, senorita bread and pan de Sal. So good and fresh. The prices aren't bad either. I think 20 pieces of senorita bread for $12 isn't bad. Star Bread is one of those spots where I have always heard about but never had the chance to try until now. I came around 11am on a Saturday and there was no lines! I got the 15 pieces box of senorita bread. They do have a limit on how much you can spend to use credit card which I believe is about $10. The bread was pretty yummy and best consumed right away! I always come here when I'm in the area, the problem here is that they o not allow one customer at a time to get in to order and it's a mandatory mask requirement. I had to wait close to 10 min outside the door before it was my turn to order. I already knew what I wanted but still had to wait. The person taking my order was very rude. I didn't have a mask with me and when I asked for one he charged me close to $2, this is just insane and ridiculous. I used to buy good starbread here, but today is just disgusting taste. If you see in the pictures the color of the bread is so pale and looked half bake which I was right. It's not fully baked and there's a weird taste to it like metallic. Looks like they rushed the baking. They used to serve it golden/yellow brown, dry outside but moist inside. This time it was soggy, not as sweet as before and i cant taste the butter. I don't understand the point of rushing the baking so they could serve it to the costumer fast when you're compromiseling the quality of the bread. Closest starbread to me. Not sure what everyone's complaint about service is, but service was quick and easy. Ordered 110 pieces total and was out within 10 minutes or so. Star bread is not your typical bakery. They are a Filipino bakery that specializes in the senorita bread. Everything else is decent, but the senorita bread is a must try and the star of the bakery. It's hot, soft, sweet, and buttery in the inside, and a little crisp on the outside. It's served fresh and hot daily. They are about .40cents a piece and it's too bad they are not cheaper if you buy a bulk amount for a party. If it wasn't for that, I would have given them 5 stars. Had a craving for their senorita bread so it's nice that they have a location in Union City. Unfortunately, the gentleman at the counter wasn't very friendly, lacked customer service, not even a smile at 9am. Ordered 20 senorita bread and was surprised how small they've gotten, definitely shrinkflation going on. Noticed they had malasadas so I also ordered 3 since it was 3/$7. The senorita bread was good but smaller than I remembered. As for the malasadas, the outside was fried perfectly but the inside was too dense and doughy. Amazing sweet milk bread aka senorita bread. These bread is a good choice if you need to bring something to a potluck party. They are very affordable and people pleaser for sure. You won't just eat one bread, you will be tempted to have more and more. Why? Because they are sweet and so good especially when they just got out from the oven. The bread here is just mid compared to Vallejo, Fairfield, and San Francisco, but if this is your closest then I don't blame you for going here. The bread is hard and not as buttery or as sweet as the the other locations. They really trying to charge you $2 for a paper mask just so the guy can grab it with his bare hands after he been in the back doing whatever he does. My petty self went and drove 15 minutes to Kaiser and got a mask for free. My Grandma nearly disowned me because she noticed that it the bread wasn't as good as she's use to. read more

Came here because the Newark store was closed. Hubby walked into the store while I waited in the car. To my surprise he came out with a box in less than two minutes. In the Newark store they bake it for you fresh after the order is placed so it usually takes longer. When I took over the box, it was luke warm at the bottom. I had a really bad feeling about it. I came in on Monday to pick up an order or señorita bread for my mom. I came in a bit early than the scheduled pick up time and the guy working pretty much tried low key accusing me of picking up extra bread. I get that maybe some people in the past have tried doing that and getting someone else's orders but that wasn't what I was doing. I clearly explained that I was just picking up the order for my mom but I just happened to be there 30 minutes early. He took down my name and number so that if my mom came later to pick up the order she can call me asking why her order wasn't there. Literally, my mom wasn't coming to pick it up which is why I was there. That order was for my grandma's viewing. Thanks for making an already shitty day worse. Not to mention that while yes the bread was piping hot, it was barely sweet and kind of hard. Disappointing cause I've definitely had better señorita bread from here. Don't think I'll be back. The baker at this one makes them good. Ignore the lower stars on this place, they're a bunch of Karen's. I'll be coming back here again when we visit SF. There is one now in Orange County but it's pretty bad. Their seniorita bread is dry and doesn't leak out any butter. I usually go to the Daly City location but the family and I didn't want to drive that far for some deliciousness. This place is in a small plaza behind a gas station. Noticed they sold mochi donuts as well if your craving for that along with your senorita bread. My son wanted 100 pieces of senorita bread but compromised on 50 since there's only 3 of us in our household. The breads came out nice and warm just like the Daly City location but for some reason when bitting into one of them on our drive back home there was something different about them. Now, it was still good but to me, felt like the texture was a little different than what I was used to. Overall, you won't be disappointed from this location.
