I had a business meeting here. Same old Starbucks, everywhere you go. Basically the bottom level sucks for atmosphere because there's hardly any room for tables and the ceiling is, like, three stories tall. Awkward feeling. But there is a cool upper level that has tables on two different levels. You feel all tucked away up there in a couple of distinct areas. I'm kind of torn on how I should approach this review. I don't know if what I experienced was a freak of nature exception, or if it is what a normal Saturday morning looks like at this location. We arrived at this location at around 9:45am, and my boyfriend ordered a breakfast sandwich and a mocha. Any Starbucks was bound to be busy, especially in the morning, so this wasn't a surprise when a line formed and the place got to be a little crowded. What DID surprise me was the wait for our order. 9:45 turned to 10... 10:15... and more and more customers stood at the bar waiting for their drinks. All of us started to ask each other when they had arrived and how long they had been waiting... and it seemed like a consensus had formed: we were all afraid that we had been forgotten. Long story short, an hour had passed, and the barista completely missed my order and claimed that she didn't have any other order stickers ready to be made. She was completely okay with making my drink quickly, The line and wait had been so long that over a dozen people had given up and abandoned their drinks at the bar... which prompted the baristas to then dump them out or give them away. We left at 10:40. One positive thing out of the whole experience was the random camaraderie formed between all of the customers. We all got the chance to learn a lot about each other and what kind of day we had ahead of us. Maybe next time I'll go to this location in the afternoon... during a weekday. Maybe. read more

The quality of drinks and food are on par with most of the Starbucks I've been to. The 2 stars is for a poorly understaffed store and workers who seem to be in the clouds. The wait for drinks is the worst I have ever experienced at any Starbucks. I am stuck coming here because there is not a closer store for now. I have never seen anyone who acts or looks like a manager here be it morning or afternoon. It doesn't help things that they are always training new employees. I go to Starbucks at least twice a week. Just not this one. This location is the most convenient for me, but I will NOT go to it. They are soooo slow, soooo disorganized, and rude on top of it. I typically order either an iced coffee or a hot coffee with cream and sugar. How anyone can mess up an order of this simplicity is beyond me, but they've managed to do so on multiple locations. There is one 20-something hipster fellow there who after repeatedly asking me "what is it you wanted again" still got it wrong. If you are too stoned to pour coffee, you should look at doing something a little less taxing. I'm now on a one-woman boycott of this store and am giving the Coffee Bean across the street my business. Inferior product, certainly, but it's completely hassle and attitude free. read more

Rating reflects space and not customer service. This location is the absolute worse if you're trying to get work done. The wall outlets are few and some are placed in the most inconvenient locations (i.e. on the platform between level one and level two, where there are absolutely no tables or chairs to make it useful). I think if they put a bar table that ran the length of the tree wall the space would be more useful, but as it is there's only four tables in that space, and typically these tables are always occupied by a single occupant. The bar table downstairs is probably the more useful for getting work done, but if it's fully occupied you're honestly better off finding a different coffee shop altogether. read more

This Starbucks has a drive through. That's really all this review needs. It's a Starbucks. Sure, it has a cool indoor area with a second floor that overlooks a rooftop garden, but that's secondary to the main point. You need caffeine and you're too busy to get out of your car. So you have two options. Option 1 involves crashing through the wall of an existing Starbucks and hoping the stunned staff brings you some coffee before the cops arrive. Option 2 is to find yourself a Starbucks that has an approved drive-through window. This Starbucks meets that second option. Oh, and don't go telling me Option 3 involves making your own coffee and putting it in a travel mug for your daily commute. We all know you make horrible coffee. read more

I order the same thing whenever I go..a chai latte. Why do I not get the same amount everyday?! I understand human error. But some days it's missing a whole quarter cup of liquid/latte. I hate to support chains; but, Starbucks serves me a perfect coffee every time. I often meet at this location with friends for catch-up time - never a rush to make a table available to other customers. I wasn't sure what to expect, knowing the store's remodel was delayed and a challenge for the staff and management to endure. I'm a daily customer at the area Starbucks and have considered this one the most beautiful, in terms of design, location and architectural complexity. As expected, the reduced seating capacity is and was an issue, due to the popularity of this neighborhood store. Now that it has been re-opened for three weeks, I expected to find new images of the interior remodel posted here on Yelp. None were to be found, so I took a number to upload. Hopefully, old and new customers alike will discover what I encountered this morning. It's still the same Circle C Starbucks. It has a clean, contemporary feel that is pleasant, somewhat reminiscent of the newer Dripping Springs store. The one change that will take some getting used to is the solid, darker grey paint upstairs. It's a bit stark for those of us used to the lighter tone that used to exist. The new ceramic tile flooring and furniture are very tasteful and a big improvement, complimenting the color scheme. In time, I believe those of us who hold this location dear will adjust to the facelift and discover that the staff are still personable, friendly and efficient, as they always were. Starbucks remains that third space, home away from home, consistent for work, pleasure and caffeine. read more

This is a very good Starbucks, perhaps the best in town if judged exclusively on how friendly the employees are and how close it is to the growing Circle C megalopolis in SW Austin. What always amuses and sometimes (but rarely) annoys me about this place is the drive-through part of the business. Most weekday mornings - especially around 8:30 or so - there is a fantastically long lineup of cars (maybe 15-20) that often comes close to spilling out onto Escarpment. It is always funny to me that one can often walk inside and be served immediately while this lineup of cars barely moves. A consequence of this is that a sizable majority of the employees inside seem to be devoted to serving the vehicular traffic; sometimes this slows down service for the more athletic customers that choose to walk in from the parking lot. And that isn't always fun. Not the Starbucks that I would choose for study/work, although I admit to never having gone upstairs to see if it offers a better work environment than the minimal seating on the main floor. read more

I visit a lot of Starbucks but this one is scratched off my list. I have been there maybe 4 times and always messy and unkept. Today was the worse. Garbage cans over flowing, filthy counter, behind counter was disgusting and bathroom..."Gender friendly" in which we share with men was disgusting! Hasn't that gone a little too far ...really!?! I turned about face as well as my husband and left. Drove to the Slaughter and Brodie location. Never to buy from this location again. Busy or not please, take the time every hour to clean up and dump trash. I judge a restaurant totally by management. Can be busy but great quality and hard working, friendly staff keep me coming back. I come here weekly. Most week mornings there's a line for drive thru, but it moves quickly. And the staff is so personable. The quality is so consistent; I've yet to get a wrong order or get a drink that tastes like they forgot something. What is unique at this Starbucks? The view from the room! It is Starbucks, you know? What it lacks perhaps in uniqueness is balanced with dependability: solid/free internet, balanced music creating a sense of privacy, yadayada... This location is in a nice area near Circle C, withe amole vegetation and other restos, etc. BUT the difference-- this spot has an upper area overlooking a "green roof," as in live vegetation, agave, all visible through large windows with ample light. This Starbucks is convenient fix for those times when I run out of home-roasted coffee. The building was supposedly the first of it's kind in Austin. It's a "green" building with grasses and other vegetation growing on the roof, a rain collection system, and a solar panel covered car port. This is why I give it the third star. read more

This is my local Starbucks (ha! Seems like such an oxymoron). The people who work here are so friendly, especially the guys at the window at 6 AM on a Saturday morning when I'm stopping by for a shot on my way to my long run. I usually come here for hours at a time to work, and I can't help but love their Americanos, and some of their food too. The only reason this place doesn't merit more stars from me is -- what does a lady have to do to get a drink in a glass, and a snack on a plate, for Christ's sake?? Every single time I come here, I specify, "I'd like that in a glass/on a plate for here, please, if possible." I know -- it's Starbucks. They cater to to-go customers. They may not have many actual dishes on hand. But they DO have SOME on hand. And I'm usually a for-here customer, and the last thing I want is to use up more paper or plastic toss-away cups and paper snack sleeves if I don't have to. But I can! not! seem! to get these guys to hear me when I ask for an actual dish! Or maybe it's just that the right hand isn't talking to the left hand? The friendly barista at the register will answer "Sure, no problem," to my request for a glass or a plate, but then 5 minutes later, the barista at the espresso machine will call out my name...and slide me a drink in a paper cup. This makes me cringe and fume in futile irritation. What do I need to do? Please, tell me, I'll do it! It's worth it to me to avoid needlessly using up throw-away stuff when I could be using dishes that can be washed and reused. *sigh* I do feel slightly better for having gotten that off my chest. I am also VERY irritated at the new stars system (I used to have to spend about $32 to get a free drink or treat; starting in April, when the new stars system kicks in, I'll have to spend almost double that), but that's not this location's fault, so of course I'm not docking stars for that. read more

There are many fruit flies and mosquitos on the second floor area. It's a chaos. Other customers were bothered by the fruit flies and mosquitos too. I've killed around 8-10 flies in an hour just sitting there. The second floor garbage bin was overly filled with garbage, and that may attract flies. The staff should change the garbage bin more frequently. read more

The manager was so friendly and all the baristas seemed to be working quickly and happily. Signs of a great business to support and visit. I was just in for my birthday free treat and they all encouraged me to get the biggest size and add an extra shot then wished me a genuine happy birthday. The staff at this starbucks deserves sainthood. From what I can tell they are near a middle school. I literally had to step over piles of backpacks tossed around and in front of the door, and yell to place my order because of the amount of noise the swarm of screeching, over caffeinated preteens were making. The baristas were doing their best. They calmly warned the kids about their behavior. This is my first time at this location, but this hormone tsunami seems to be a regular occurrence. So my one tip is avoid this place around the time school let's out. Or if you have to go in, tip big because I watched the 5 adolescent nightmares in front of me pocket every penny of their change. read more

I'm not generally a big fan of Starbucks, but this place is close to home, so I go here. I can always find a table and they make a pretty awesome iced dirty chai. Can't really complain, as all the local establishments usually run out of places for me to sit and study, so this works just fine. Staff is always super nice. I say "thank you", and they say "you're welcome". What a novel idea, I know, but is one generally lacking in the service industry at large. Also the windows upstairs are nice. I stopped ordering the chai latte for a few months and thought I would give it a try again today and it's still awful. So to start this off, I want to say that I was starving at the time I ordered and was on a quick break from work. I ordered a passion tea lemonade sweet and a turkey ham and Swiss sandwhich. I got my items and drove off without checking them, I took a sip from my drink and it did not taste sweet at all. So I figured they probably messed up and put unsweet then I notice they made me a passion iced tea with no lemonade what's so ever. I let it pass. But then I opened my sandwhich and ugh... the sandwhich was wrong as well they gave me turkey bacon sandwhich which is ok but it has no bacon or turkey!! And the ham was completely off the buns and with egg! I never asked for egg. I was so upset because this was my first meal of the day. I love Starbucks but cmon!
