I would like to acknowledge this Starbucks and Chelsea Stear their manager. I recently made a few calls to local places to ask for coffee donations for a youth related event in Burbank. While many others had excuses and some gave me the run around, Chelsea was very nice and not only offered the 10-12 cup traveler....she donated their large container which will give us about 80 cups!! For being one of the busiest Starbucks on the block and having 6, yes 6 people majority of the time behind the counter they are still SLOW! Hire people that make time efficient with handling the lines. You don't need two people warming up pastries, what you do need is 3 people making different drinks (mind you, people that know how to make drinks) and 2 cashiers. Done! read more

We just went to this Starbucks few minutes ago to use the restroom and order some food. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, my friend was waiting in there so I went up to the barista(as he was closest) to ask him for some toilet paper. He said one sec, talked to some guy behind him and turned back. I was thinking the other guy who went in was going to get it. We waited few mins before we ended up go to the cashier ourselves to ask for it again. All this time, the barista ignored us. He kept going with what he was doing. I don't know if this is how they are trained(as it seems so) because this has happened in other starbucks as well. Granted they are busy with other customers and it's not his job, but either he should redirect us to the cashier or ask the cashier himself. Just standing there and ignoring is very rude and surprisingly happens only at Starbucks. There is nothing wrong if you were too busy with customers that you couldn't get to checking your restrooms on time. That's understandable. But plain ignoring by barista is wrong. I asked the manager if the store got unconscious bias training. They did. So it's so surprising that they had customers from different races and still didn't be respectful. Just standing there and ignoring is very disrespectful in many other cultures. And this is california, supposedly multi cultural friendly state. I think it's time all Starbucks employees got diversity and inclusion training as well so they can present their demeanor in a much respectful and polite way. read more

Worst Starbucks I have ever been to. First the elder woman who seems to be the manager has this fake ass nice personality thing going, she asks me what I want as I'm speaking she cuts me off to say hi to her cub as he approaches the counter. I told her I was there to pick up an order she says don't come here go to the pick up order counter, ok then I don't find my name for a while about 15 mins it was a big order so I kept asking and the rest of the staff would ignore me. I didn't know they put the drinks in the paper bags I thought it was just for the food so I ask where my drinks were they ignored me again. I then get up from sitting down after a half hour to check if my drinks are on that counter, until finally this employee asked me what I needed and I said my drinks very rudely she said they are in the bag I had never seen anyone put the drinks in the paper bags so I had no clue. They get one star because I had to or else they wouldn't of got none!!! Unacceptable!! read more

I normally consider all Starbucks to be customer oriented and very well trained employees until now. I have been waiting for my Americano for a wlong while when I notice the three people who ordered ahead of me have all got something wrong with their orders. The worst STARBUCKS ever!!! They made my drink WRONG after I explicitly said slowly that I wanted a "Mango Black Tea Lemonade with 2 extra pumps of mango". They gave me Black Tea Lemonade with Classic.....So I called them to let them know and when I returned (mind you everyone I was in the office already) they put me in the front of the line. That was nice, BUT no offer for a free drink next time...NOTHING!! So just in case, I tasted my drink and it was VERY SWEET so I asked if I can get a little more lemonade in it? She gives me attitude fills my drink with more lemonade without even dumping the excess and therefore spills on my shirt!!! On average these workers are not so friendly. This is a great location. Quick, friendly...overall, great. ONLY issue is the complete lack of desire to police smoking. The entire plaza is non smoking, with a HUGE sign on the patio - HUGE. Cool layout. Decent seating. However most times you will be in a slow lethargic line that seems to be entering into an eternity of hell. Most times they seem to have enough workers but, in a drone like manner, if it's busy, the person that's stocking things or cleaning, will continue with the routine instead of reducing the customer line. It's actually quite comical. Almost vaudevillian. Hmmmm, new word? Lovely lady who makes the coffee is nice and friendly, but that's where it ends. Any time I've been here in the morning, there's a line about 8-9 people deep, and all of the employees I see wandering in and out of the back don't seem to care. Zero hustle happening. I realize it's morning and it typically will be busier, but even the shift supervisor seemed non- plus about the line and slow service. Just this morning, two people in front of me walked out because the staff was not moving with any sort of urgency at all. That helped me, but that's not good for the company. Shitty! That's all I have to say,every single time I order a grande sized latte they end up giving me nothing but foam. I understand the difference between a cappuccino and a latte. I've complained before how my cup is basically just foam, yet they do it again. Please focus and make sure you know what you're doing when making the drinks, I understand the rush hour and such. Drove to this location at 7:00am today, parked at the rear at the building, 1st thing noticed over bulging trash cans around the building, trash everywhere in the parking lot. Walked inside, dirty tables and table where the spices, sugar sits. Turned around and left. I love Starbucks as a brand but I will never get my coffee at this location. I'm also not one to call out people in my reviews unless they went out of there way, but this time I cannot keep quiet. I was in the area a few weeks ago and made an online order through my app. When I got there, there was a very long line to place an order so I walked around to the pick up order area as online orders are NORMALLY placed there. I waited for my name to be called but nothing. After 10 minutes I asked one of the girls working that I had placed an online order but haven't heard my name. She said she would see where it is. Then the barista came (male guy with dark hair and glasses) and I told him the same. He came back with my drink saying "online orders are picked up in the front and not at the pick up area. There is a sign". Now I was baffled. Did I miss the sign? Why would you have online orders picked up where people place an order? I walked to the front of the store and looked back to see this "sign". It was down next to the cash register area (I should have taken a picture). The sign was so small who would see it. In addition when there is a long line of people to place an order, they hide it. I called back to the barista and said:"I didn't see that sign bc it was hidden by the customers lined up at the cash register and maybe you should have it hanging above". Let's just say he didn't like my suggestion. He was very rude, unpleasant and I will take my business elsewhere. Starbucks location manager you might want to rethink who you hire. I work with customers too. They are not always pleasant and can be rude but in this case I'm sorry I didn't deserve that treatment or behavior. I paid for my drink like everyone else and just bc I'm not a regular at this location and I didn't know where the "online" order pick up location is doesn't mean I should have been treated the way I did. If he was overwhelmed by the amount of people, he should reconsider his job or let me make it easier on him, if you like Starbucks you might want to stay clear of this barista. This is simply the best store I've ever visited. I come here daily to get my fix and I love the energy and chemistry exuded by the hot employees. One criticism I have is they don't carry marshmallow dream bars here. But that's not enough to drive me away. Plus there are so man more people around since the Habit opened in the same plaza. I feel safe and can watch all the interesting and hot customers walking around or just hanging out. read more
