Went in and ordered an earl gray matcha and my partner ordered a passion mango tea w boba. The matcha & the passion fruit was so good! The boba was chewy and sweet. I would definitely recommend coming and trying! I really wanted to try their strawberry matcha but I'm always so skeptical (I have trust issues w bad strawb matchas) but the earl gray was good, so maybe I'll try next visit. The interior was nice, menu was straight forward on the wall and on the check out table -- only thing is the description of the drinks weren't shown on the menus until you're on the self check out kiosk. I was curious about the sunny side up matcha thinking it was made with real egg yolk (which I thought kinda weird?) but the kiosk said that it was mango. You didn't really talk to staff at all & the drinks came out pretty fast! Would come back again.

I later found out they closed that same day due to some kind of sewage/health inspection issue, so I decided to give them another chance after they reopened, especially since friends recommended their other locations. My visits since then have definitely been better. My go-to is now the Double Matcha at 50% sweet. It has a strong matcha flavor, is creamy, and is really good when made right. I definitely won't be getting the matcha einspanner again though. The biggest issue is consistency. Not every visit tastes the same, but when it's good, it's good. The shop also sometimes has a noticeable bathroom/cleaning chemical smell, which isn't the most pleasant when you're sitting inside.

Bad customer service should never be tolerated by customers. Everyone in business knows they have competitors. Any average Manager of a coffee shop knows, the only thing they have to offer a customer other than the same product sold at every other location is good customer service. Bad customer service can happen anywhere. Sometimes its just a mistake. Sometimes its by untrained employees. And in this case its by a smart mouth little guy with a long pony tail and a beard. He thinks its just fine if he makes fun of a guest to his fellow employees while the customer is standing there at the counter. Not acceptable under any conditions. Lack of training falls under poor management. Total disrespect for the customer, or in my case being belligerent to a customer in the business falls under intolerable. If you do not want employees making fun of people and talking about customers including yourself, do not go to this location. read more

I ordered 2 drinks online, came into the store after 10 minutes, and it was not ready. When i asked if they received my order, the lady with a blue hair (she was without name tag) told me that yes, we are serving other orders now. The second barista asked lady with blue hair, what was my order? And she told her "don't worry about that". Don't worry???? Really???? They was working pretty SLOW. Lady with blue hair was always constantly twitching, pretending that she is dancing and was talking with her co-worker instead of working. So, i wait another 15 min, and was super late already and i left. I will ask the owner of this store to change his team or talk to them. This is horrible service. Starbucks on broadway Burlingame is my favorite location on the peninsula. My go to orders are a tall coffee with room for cream, and a butter croissant, toasted . The drinks/coffees served here are consistently good . 5/5 The Butter croissant is yummy . The exterior is crispy, light , and flaky. This Starbucks is so very cozy!!! I just love it. There are lots of comfy armchairs and tables and I never have a hard time finding a seat. Last time I went around 8:15am and there was ample street parking, but it was an hour limit which was annoying when I wanted to stay and work longer than an hour. This is smaller of this big coffee chain. I'm only giving it 3 stars because I usually drop by around 6:30am and they always take long time to make drinks. They also didn't make hazelnut hot chocolate right. I've ordered it at least 3 times here this winter, and it always came out too watery compared to downtown SF locations. Me and a friend of mine tried out the new Clover coffee ( guatemalla ) and it was good and flavorful. The best way i can explain it is that the oils from the coffee beans are more visible in the taste which gives it's difference from the conventional way they make coffee. I know your paying a little bit more for coffee but if you can spare some change it's worth getting specially when you can see how it gets made. read more

When I visit this Starbucks they always seem to be on alert and aware of customers needs. Very fast and the prices are reasonable compared to the independent shops across the street.
