Drove all the way from Burbank just to check out Carrara's Pastry Shop in Agoura Hills--and wow,…read morethey absolutely did not disappoint. It's a small, charming café with a cozy atmosphere, featuring old-school car collectibles displayed on a shelf that add a unique touch. They also offer outdoor seating where you can enjoy your desserts surrounded by lush greenery, natural foliage, and a peaceful little waterfall pond. The service was great as well, they were friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. suggested I definitely I ended up picking up a chocolate and hazelnut cake with an incredibly soft, spongy interior that was perfectly balanced and rich without being overwhelming. I also grabbed a single serving of the blueberry cheesecake, which was light, airy, and still decadently satisfying--definitely worth every spoonful. The rum babas were a standout: bite-sized, soaked in Jamaican rum, filled with Chantilly cream, and topped with a raspberry. So flavorful and unique--each bite was indulgent without being too heavy. And then there was the Velina cake... oh my goodness. A beautiful sponge layered with chocolate mousse and hazelnut mousse, all covered in a glossy dark chocolate glaze. It was so rich and decadent that I had to slow myself down just to fully enjoy every bite. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and worth the drive. I'd absolutely come back again.

We were greeted right away, and we let one of the people working there know we wanted to take a look around as it was our first time stopping in, which was okay. The shop itself was empty. We took a look at the ice cream selection, the full cakes, and then the pastries. Everything looked really good. We decided on a chocolate trilogia pastry and a red velvet pastry to go. The transaction went well. When we got home, we ate the goodies. The trilogia was fresh and had great flavor. The red velvet, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The cake part was dry, and the frosting was dense and had little flavor. Maybe I just ended up getting an older one, but at $8.25, I had expected a much better item. The service was great, but as a red velvet lover, the flavor was not as expected. I would potentially try again but would sample some other treats.

I love this place more and more every time I come here. Had the Saroukh cheese boat this time along…read morewith the lamb gyro plate for my wife and lamb gyro wrap for myself. Everything was fresh, delicious, and plentiful. The cheese boat is simple yet spectacular. I'll get that again for sure. The bread itself is addicting. You can tell it's freshly made. We also had grape leaves and baclava (both perfect). We kind of over ordered but we had plenty left over for another full meal for the both of us. The woman working the counter was very nice and helpful. We ate there this time and the dining room and restrooms were both very clean. I like that they offer a "healthier" soda, called Stubborn Soda I believe. I don't usually drink soda but tried a few of these flavors and enjoyed them all. We look forward to coming back!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant…read more When I arrived, I observed a kitchen employee lying down on one of the benches and taking a nap in the dining area. This was very unusual and not professional. More concerning, my wife and I ordered a salad, and shortly after eating, both of us developed stomach pain and diarrhea within a few hours. Based on the timing and symptoms, we strongly suspect the food may have been the cause. I contacted the restaurant the next day and spoke with a staff member (name starting with "A"). She took my number and said management would call me back. No one followed up. I called again a few days later, and was told the same thing -- still no response. It has now been about a month with no communication or resolution. Very disappointed with both the food quality and the lack of customer service. I would not recommend.

Overall? Don't listen to the haters. This place is great. Yes, the prices are aggressive, but…read morehonestly, it's worth experiencing at least once. Go when they open, grab the bacon, order the Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie, sit outside, and lean into the absurdly California lineup of flavors and ingredients. Everything feels polished, fresh, and a little excessive in a way that somehow works. It's the kind of place that knows exactly what it is and commits fully Parking? Lot. Easy if you go early My top items: Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie (5/5): Almond milk, strawberries, banana, avocado, dates, maple syrup, collagen peptides, sea moss gel, and coconut cream sounds like something a wellness influencer invented during a spiritual awakening, but somehow it absolutely works. Yeah, twenty dollars for a smoothie is borderline criminal, but this thing tasted incredible. Creamy, rich, naturally sweet, and weirdly luxurious without feeling heavy Beeler's Hickory Smoked Bacon (5/5): Wow. Easily some of the best bacon I've had in a long time. Perfect balance of smoke, salt, sweetness, and fat with edges that crisped up just enough without drying out the center. You could actually taste the quality of the pork instead of just generic salt and smoke. Simple, dialed in, ridiculously satisfying

I guess I'm on a mission to see all the stores. This was my least favourite. Parking was chaotic,…read moreand the staff, w the exception of Milo wasn't as attentive as I've become accustomed to. We went during lunch time so I'm aware that was part of the parking lot fullness, but the staff had this almost apathetic attitude. I saw a piece of pizza I hadn't seen and wanted to try. A couple employees were having a convo at the counter. I just waited to see how long they were going to stand there. Longer than you'd expect. I mentioned Milo earlier. Rockstar in the cafe, gave us samples, answered questions about things I didn't see. I was told to try the battered portobellos. I guess they didn't have them that day but I appreciated that Milo checked. That was the most pleasant experience and Milo's customer service was aligned with what I've come to expect. Checkout was lacklustre. This is the first store I've been at that had a conveyor belt. I went through twice. The first person seemed like he didn't want to be there. The second I asked about the new membership tiers and she wasn't sure then she was surprised at my level. I got clarification around the program from someone at my store, and she showed me where vip line is. It just wasn't a vibe I've been used to over any of the stores I've been to. Maybe it's calabasas, idk. I can say I went. 8 down, 3 to go. Ya, Erewhon is probably my personality atp. Ah well, there's worse things!
