I've been meaning to write a review for this starbucks for a while, i've just been so busy. i must say SARAH!!!!! omg SARAH GIRL YOU ARE THE BEST!!! When i first started coming to this location She was the first person who made my drink exactly how i asked for it. She is the sweetest personality ever. Before even seeing me, when i got my drink she wrote "you are beautiful :)" at this time i needed to hear it. the next, "have a great day!:)" a few times later whenever i came (in the drive thru) she recognized my voice and knew exactly what to make without me even giving her my order. i loved that!! I took a break from starbucks for a while and when i came back recently, again she made my order perfect , we had a chit chat and she told me that she prayed for me which warmed my heart so much!! again, i cant stress enough how life has really been kicking me, but Sarah...something about her just makes you not worry anymore. The last time i visited she left me with a good message. " to be a good giver, you must be a good receiver" as her dad has told her. Definitely she needs to be recognized and promoted!!! I am so angry. After writing my previous good review, I try my actual drinks I ordered and they were INCORRECTLY made. So I brush it off no biggie I'll just go ask to make a new one, and I get inside and was not greeted and I went to the lady at the bar who I assume is the manager and politely said "I was just in the drive thru and I ordered a medicine ball and a black iced tea in sweetened(my father can't have sugar)" and she rudely replied "NO YOU DIDNT, YOU ORDERED TWO MINT MAJESTYS AND A BLACK TEA" when the girl who took the order repeated the order to me and it was correct when I paid, then I politely told her what I did ordered again and she began to scold the young girl who made the mistake loudly then she turns to me and rudely says " ITS NOT CALLED A MEDICINE BALL, ITS CALLED A HONEY CITRUS TEA" ... I was completely SHOCKED I have never been talked to so rudely as a customer.. all I wanted was my medicine ball, which I have been ordering for YEARS at many different Starbucks' and have never been corrected on the name of the drink, I have friends who work at Starbucks and they all call it a "medicine ball" so excuse me for not knowing the correct name. I would no stars if I could! I walked in with a group of people .. and waited patiently for 20 mins for a blueberry muffin and a cheese danish.. I asked about my order so they can know I was still waiting.. they didn't care. then the baritas t( they wouldn't give me her name )proceeded to throw my danish and blueberry muffin on the counter. When I questioned her why she threw it she denied it. And proceeded to argue with me! Then she said because she was busy? So you there my danish because you were busy?! Today was my 18th birthday so I figured I should get a drink to celebrate. Once I got there, place was clean, and the staff were attentive and kind. One kind man (don't know his name, was there at around noon) took my order. Extremely kind, helpful, and made my drink which was a little time consuming. My experience today I don't want to take it personal but ,I was offered a breakfast sandwich to start off the morning. When I receive my sandwich it was cold in the middle . I looked at the sandwich and said to myself I know this didn't come from Starbucks. I just knew it wasn't and I started drinking my strawberry açaí and I said you bet your sweet ass it is. I understand it gets busy just a suggestion, if your not having a good day or the task is too much. Please I repeat please do not make the breakfast sandwich. Ask to change task like put the ice in the cup or get the almond milk ready to pour. I was having a great day and I was looking forward to that sandwich. The staff here is always so polite and welcoming!! Yesterday (January 23rd) I went through the drive thru after having a bad experience at another starbucks location *eye roll*. I asked the gentleman working the drive through if the drink I got at the other location I went to 15min prior was the right drink, he said definitely not, took my drink and remade it the proper way. I'm so thankful because starbucks isn't cheap and for someone to not make my drink the proper way and for him to remake it tells me A LOT! As per my usual for this Starbucks. I wish I could give more stars than available. Today for example I walk in after driving down a mountain in pain, and all my troubles and pains go away while in the store. I have been a Starbucks consumer since I was a little kid, I've been to Starbucks all over the country and so far the one I will always bring my business to is the one located in Colton, CA on south Mount Vernon Street & Washington. I live in Big Bear, CA roughly an hour and a half drive to this Starbucks. The reason why I bring my business here, is for the fact that when I'm here I feel at home. The staff here is AMAZING (honestly that word is an understatement). Cindy, Carlos, lyla, Melissa, Sarah, Erika, Tiffany, Ernie, Hannah, Vincent, RED, and Krispy josh are some of the best people ive EVER met in the costumer service industry. The laughter and joy that everyone shares with each other has the feel that everyone is family. It starts from the management and works its way down to even the newest of employees, Tiffany has a sign that states "HOME SWEET HOME", that statement is the embodiment of this location. As someone who had worked in the field for the last ten years, I honestly and truly believe that this location SHOULD become the training facility for All of Starbucks. In conclusion, the Starbucks located at south Mount Vernon and Washington in Colton, CA has by far the best crew in the service industry and should be the main facility that train all employees on how to work with joy and a smile no matter what is going on. read more

When ever I go to a Starbucks I am ready to spend money on a quality cup of frap or joe and maybe some breakfast from time to time. This Starbucks in particular is my absolute favorite in the area because there staff generally cares about how much you will like your drink. I've been to other places that say oh we are out sorry and then they don't care what you order instead but this place has good service since they follow that up with , hey but have you tried our "new _____ drink ". Well first off the customer service was horrible specifically by a women named "Red" she was extremely pushy to get the money and had a snobby laugh when I asked for a second cause I would be paying cash and the rest on my starbucks card which Is because my card only has $8 remaining. I just came here and ordered a grande Carmel cloud macchiato which the worker repeated to me, then I was handed a venti Carmel frappe. I told the drive through worker that was wrong and the drive through worker still proceeded to take back the drink which I already was handed ( never seen that during this pandemic) . Normally I love this Starbucks I've been coming here for over 5 years but recently a lot more. The service has normally been great and they're usually so kind and happy. We'll today was something else... Allison was the one working the drive through and taking orders. She rushed my order and didn't take it down correctly missing that I said blonde espresso. When I noticed that It was wrong I let her know saying it's suppose to be with blonde espresso she had attitude and said ok. I pulled forward to the window and notice it was made incorrectly with the foam which I never order with foam so I knew it was wrong again. I let her know as she was going to hand it to me and she threw the drink away and walked away again with attitude and the whole interaction was just not friendly or a good experience as it normally is. Maybe she had a bad day idk but Allison, remember you work in customer service and choose to interact with customers so please don't take out your personal life or day on others. I also wished her a good day as I was leaving, but that did not change her attitude. Starbucks please make sure your employees don't rush orders and make us feel rushed so orders are correct from the start and that they know to be kind. How does this location have only two reviews? For the past few months, I've gone to this starbucks every weekend to caffeinate and do work. This location is huge. There are lots of places to sit - the outside patio, some arm chairs, a bunch of little tables, and two big conference tables. There's lots of electrical outlets and free wifi. It's clean, bathrooms are clean. The baristas are very nice, save for one or two that aren't the nicest but aren't rude or anything either. When I'm tired of my usual drink, they're patient and helpful when I ask for suggestions. For as often as I go there, they've only "messed up" my drink once by giving me a regular amount of ice when I asked for easy ice. I've never used the drive-thru at this location, but take it from someone who's inside watching the baristas work while you're throwing a hissy fit in your car: they're hustling. If you can't handle the wait, there's a McDonald's across the street. Sometimes I have to wait longer than I'd like for my drink even when there was no one in front of me in line, but I understand that it's because they're busy making the drive-thru orders.. or cleaning or brewing coffee or stocking, etc. etc. Some patrons are just really spoiled. I'll take reasonable wait times, one imperfect drink every few months, and a couple not-so-bubbly baristas for everything else this location has to offer. read more

This is my second visit to this location and I can't believe I failed to leave a yelp review about Vincent after my first visit. Today while with my husband and our baby, we made a quick stop for coffee. I couldn't remember his name and told my husband about this darling, super sweet, friendly, fast & efficient employee I met last visit. To my luck Vincent was working the drive thru again and this time I made sure to ask for his name. I introduced him to my husband and told him how amazing he was my last visit here. Vincent is the Starbucks barista you want to take your order at EVERY Starbucks. If you are having a tough morning or day, he is the person you want to cross paths with while getting your coffee fix because he will lift your spirits and you won't be able to help yourself from smiling :) Way to go Vincent.
