This Starbucks has very friendly service, but most of the time, the workers seem very incompetent and it will be my last time coming here after this incident. I usually walk over here after my classes at the local college, and I usually buy hot drinks and decided to try to buy one of the reusable cups they advertise. I grabbed one of the cups that has probably been on display for weeks and was noticeably dusty. I just assumed that they would be competent enough to at least wash the cup that I just bought from the display, however, this was not the case. Upon receiving my drink, I noticed from looking at the small hole at the top that there was a speck of dust on top of the whip cream which was strange. So just to make sure there was no other dust, I took off my lid, and sure enough, there was dust and dirt (noticeably) all over my drink and the inside of my cup. I, of course, asked for a remake and made sure that they follow simple cleaning procedures. It's such a shame that I had to make sure they had to do such a simple and logical task. I've only given 2 stars for be friendly service I always receive. 3 stars off for lack of efficient and competent drink-making. read more

They should really have more than one barista making the drinks in the morning when it is most busy. My drinks have consistently been off and it doesn't seem like they are taking the time to review the customizations. 5/5 times when I asked for whipped cream on my macchiato, I received none. The barista seems overwhelmed so I don't even care to ask them to add the whipped cream anymore after receiving my drink. This makes me a little worried since I am pregnant so at the least I hope they have been paying attention to the decaf requests. read more

As a consultant, I travel a lot, and visit tons of STBX locations in between my consulting sessions. This one happens to be my local store and the place I visit most often to prep for my week. The team at this location is always smiling, very friendly, always helping each other, know the frequent flyers and spark up conversation, are quick with orders, always get orders right, and also have time to watch out for the well-being of your customers to deliver a great experience. Recently, Garrett saw a man approach me and bother me publicly and then he noticed that I was gone moments later but my belongings were on the table. He tag-teamed with his colleague Michelle and sent her to the women's restroom to see if I was alright and if the man had followed me to the restroom. Being a starbucks partner since 2016, from a barista to a shift supervisor. I have always given my 100 percent in my customer service. Unfortunately I had to say my goodbyes to this amazing company in July 2022 to finally fulfill my dream career as a Registered Nurse. Anyhow , It makes me SAD that this is my go to starbucks (walking distance) and for an under toe they wanted to charge me on my milk! From my experience being a starbucks Barista and Supervisor , as long as it's less than 4 oz of milk, it's free. An under toe doesn't need more than 4 oz of milk, it's literally less than half in a short cup. I don't mind being charged for my syrups nor for my shots of espresso, but being lied to and getting charged for less than 4 ounces of milk really dissatisfied my experience this morning. I hate being this type of customer, but I also dislike to know that there are partners not making the moment right. read more

I'm not sure what happened to this Starbucks. I used to frequent this spot often when I lived in Costa Mesa. The quality of the drinks have gone downhill. I stopped by to pick up a Very Berry Hibiscus and - I mean seriously, how do you mess up this drink? It was watery and disgusting and lacking flavor. The things going for this location is ample parking, ample seating, free wifi (which you can sorta get at most Starbucks anyway) and some of the baristas are friendly. read more

This is one of the more newly designed locations, which does a good job of replacing the excellent Diedrich that was here for so long. Many of my reviews tend to be nostalgic for what was there before what is there now. It may not be useful from a technical standpoint to compare in that way, but I think that Yelpers deserve to read reviews where businesses are compared to a highly regarded, even if now gone establishment, because it shows where the bar should be. That said, the current SB here is better than most SB and their friendliness and service do exceed most of its SB brethren. As many SB as there now are, it's tough to measure up, but this Fairview & Baker location exceeds expectations well. read more

Awful service here. Came in with my wife, asked for a large Ice coffee with easy ice. Go back to pick up my order and they gave me a small iced coffee with easy ice. Told one of the barista's that this was incorrect, they said they will fix it. Walk back up and have the same exact drink with ice filled all the way up to the top again. Took my drink and threw it away. Don't have anymore time to waste here. Will not be coming back. Customer service is the worst I have experienced. read more

Workers are rude and though there are many workers, only couple are actually making drinks, making customers wait for a long time. I ordered my coffee and had to leave within five minutes. It was freezing inside, I can't understand how the staff does not realize that the air conditioning was set too high. I have encountered some extremely rude and disrespectful employees on more than one occasion. They can be argumentative and hostile just for inquiring about your order status. On a couple of occasions I ordered food items that needed to be warmed. They completed the order and never called my name. I ended up with cold sandwiches and bagels. I was verbally assaulted when I complained about it. This Starbucks is privately owned, that's why the workers behave like hooligans. read more

I ordered via the mobile app. I places the order with almond milk. Upon receiving my drinks, I noticed the labels did not indicate "almond milk." I asked the lady who made the drink if the drinks contained dairy? She responded, "I think so!" I informed her that I cannot have dairy products and the drinks were supposed to be made with almond milk. Instead of remaking my drink, she pours almond milk on top of regular milk. This place is gross. I've never been so grossed out. There's 3-4 flies inside the food casing that they're offering to customers. And they're just flying inside there like it's a dumpster. Two landed and I took a pic. I get it if one gets in there but theres MULTIPLE. How long have they been in there or trapped in there? It's 3pm now. I pointed it out and the guy behind the counter and he goes yea, he puts in his hand inside and waves it around and closes the door again....trapping them in there still. I go here at least 3-4 times a week during lunch time and I rarely have to wait in line. The staff is friendly, quick and it's clean. When i'm there i usually get the peach and strawberry parfait yogurt with a cup of joe. I'm sure you're wondering if it's easy to find a outlet for your computer charger... I can usually find one, but it's a hit or miss the majority of the time. It's so annoying when people sit near an outlet, NOT even needing it! UGHH! Excuse me, my laptop battery sucks and only holds 100% battery life for 25 mintues -__- Fun fact: if you don't want to purchase food/drink at starbucks but need the free wi-fi, no worries. I was disappointed in coming to this location. Unfortunately the other location I go to closes at 7pm so this was the only location near my work place that accepted mobile orders. I went to pick up my order and the lady greeted me and gave me the cake pop I order. She said my drinks were almost ready she had my 2 drinks already but said they were coming right up. The 3 girls continue making drinks and they had a rush so I waited patiently. When they were done making the other people's order they proceeded to clean up their station. I waited 15 minutes and none of them came to ask for my name. I then went and told the same girl if my order was ready she was like what was your name and I gave her my name and she was like yes here you go. The thing that was upsetting was that I had seen her put those 2 drinks down when I first gave her my name. My drinks were sitting there for a while they were cold when I got them. I get it that they were busy but come on. They had just finish setting my drinks down when I first walked in. I'm just amazed at how they said they were working on them when they were in her hands. I'm actually not a coffee drinker (that might be why), so I don't really have much to say regarding their drinks (or food) SORRY!! When I do go to a Starbucks, its usually to study or for the teas if I happen to already be there.
