This was the worst starbucks experience I have ever had. I would give them a 0 if I could. First of all the barista Steve cannot make coffee. He screwed up my vanilla latte machiatto and my sons caramel macchiato tasted like something I've never tasted before. I went in and it was not busy at all. I ordered my usual vanilla latte machiatto (I have had 1 a day since they came out with this new coffee). It has been delicious everywhere except for here. It tasted like there was no vanilla at all. I also ordered my son a caramel machiatto and a blueberry muffin. When he called my order I grabbed what I thought was my sons caramel macchiato. It seemed strange to me because it didn't have a lid on it. I brought it out to the car to him. I then realized that I forgot to order my grandsons strawberry smoothie so I went back in line. The line was long now. When I got to the front of the line I had discovered that the drink I grabbed for my son was not his. The cashier said I never ordered a caramel drink. She said I didn't pay for it either. I said fine make me one and I will pay for it along with the smoothie. The barista (Steve) said he needed the other cup back because another lady paid for it. We are talking about the plastic $1 cups. I told him as soon as I ordered the smoothie I would go get it and then he said rudely you need to go to the back of the line. I said I have waited in line and now I'm here. So the cashier went to ring me up and she said it was $8.75. I told her to add $10 to my starbucks card and she said ok its going to be $18.75. I said how is that possible. She was clearly confused. I told her again to add the $10 to my gold card and then subtract the 8.75. She seemed clueless as she already had missed my caramel drink the first time. I have a lot of patience but it was running out and mostly because they made me feel like I was at fault here when the cashier missed my drink order and I accidentally took the wrong drink. When Steve finished my drinks, he said Im gonna need the cup back because that lady paid for it. He had already made her another drink and surely he wasn't going to use the cup my son had already drank out of for her coffee. I said fine I will bring it in when I go to my car and he said I will give you the drinks when you bring me the cup. I said to him that this is a dollar cup that you should just let me have for the inconvenience you have caused. I have been in this starbucks for 20 minutes now while my adult son and grandson have been in the car. He repeated that he wanted the cup. So I went and got him the cup. Do you honestly think they are going to wash that cup out and sell it? If so, I would be very careful buying cups there. I think they are going to throw it away. As we were driving down the street my son said this doesn't taste like a caramel machiatto. I tasted it and he was right. It tasted like a latte with no sweetener. I have been to starbucks before that have given me my coffee free because they made us wait long. This starbucks acted like they were getting ripped off for their own incompetence. What's up with the guy behind the register who swears he's going to lose money out of his own pocket if I get a refill on my tea. That's right Anthony, I'm talking about you. I was just at this location late Saturday afternoon on July 26th bc we had time to kill while we waited for a basketball game to start at a nearby facility and made several purchases with my sister & friend. 3 frappacinos, 1 refresher, 1 macchiato, 2 lemonade teas, 1 raspberry tea, 1 cookie, and 4 reusable cups. The blonde lady behind the register was very patient and courteous when she took our order. We sat around for a while on this hot day and left to drop off the drinks. We came back because my sister wanted to purchase more of their reusable cups so I figured, might as well get a refill on my raspberry tea so when I got to the register and asked for the refill, Anthony was quick to refuse my request, saying "once you leave the store you can't get refills." I explained to him I was just here and pointed at the blonde lady and said "she should remember me" and she smiled at me as a confirmation. Again, he refused acting like the refill nazi. I understand there are people who take advantage of the refill system and might use yesterday's cup or one from last week but come on. I still had some tea left and you can see the melted ice through the condensation of the cup. I seriously was just here and was planning on staying at their store longer. I just had to drop off the drinks for the others that couldn't make it. So Anthony, rather than confirming with your colleague, you just stood there reciting the store policy like a prick who does not understand customer service. It was a stupid refill for tea. This was possibly the cheapest drink on the menu. So rather than wasting my time on this dead end, I texted my sister who was outside that I'm not buying cups for her from this location bc this cashier was being a d*ck. As a customer who has purchased 3 to 8 drinks per day from Starbucks in the month of July alone, I can say this has got to be the worst Starbucks location ever because of Anthony and his petty customer service attitude. Worst customer service by Tails! So there was no one in line but me and my boyfriend. He's looking at the menu and I was looking through the snacks. She asks us if we were ready, as expected, but told her not at the moment. So she turns around and start scrubbing one of the machine behind her. Took us about 30 seconds to decide then said out loud "ok, we're ready to order" twice to get her attention. When we finally got her attentions she tells us to hold on a sec so she can finish scrubbing. When she gets on the register and takes my order, she just turns to her supervisor and started having a conversation about God knows what without even taking my boyfriend's order or finishing up the transaction. I'm not going to talk about the drinks in this review (everyone who likes Starbucks know what their stuff is like). This location is pretty cozy and has a nice layout for seating. It's not cramped and it's always well kept (the tables are always in the same spots, etc). Even when the place is completely packed, it's still pretty quiet. They've still got music goin' like other places, but I still appreciate the quiet for when doing work. The people who go here are pretty respectful... then again it's not a bunch of loud and obnoxious teenagers because there's nothing immediately close (like a movie theater) to get that kind of crowd. There's also a sandwich shop next door, a Japanese restaurant, Wienerschnitzel, Taco Bell, Carl's Jr, and Subway all right in this area. So if you're studying it's a good location because you can grab a bite and come back in. The only reason for the missing star is the hours. I'm so used to going to the Starbucks locations that are open till 11:30pm or 1:30am on Fridays. This location closes pretty early, especially Sundays. Boo. read more

I've been coming to this Starbucks because I live around the block. However, I decided not to come back to this store. Every time I go, the staff are a little unfriendly or they forget to sweeten my coffee when I order from the mobile app. It's understandable since the app is still new I guess, but I never have this problem with all the other Starbucks. Anways, last time I came to get my coffee I asked the baristas what their refill policy was and literally all of the workers there at the time said "It's ok if you leave the store, we're all pretty nice here and we'll give you the refill." And so tonight when I came to get my coffee, there was no place to sit so I decided to just study at home. I came back an hour later to get my coffee, and Bobby (the manager) asked if I was inside the store studying. I said no, but that I was here an hour ago and that I went home which is right around the block. And he denied me my refill saying that I had to be inside the store at all times in order to get a refill. I told him that last time a bunch of his employees told me it was fine if I left the store, and he pretty much just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry they told you the wrong information. You know, it's not like I brought starbucks from a different store, and you really don't lose much by giving me a refill. I get it, you're "doing your job" and "following store policies," but is it worth it to lose a loyal customer over some refill? Is that really good customer service for someone that was literally there an hour ago? at that same store? Your employees obviously don't follow your strict policy since they're promising customers something else. read more

I love this Starbucks, its in a great location and so close to my house. Only thing I would say I don't like is the parking lot which its in. Its so small and shared with a hot dog place. Service inside is great. I go to a lot of other starbucks but id have to say since I order pretty much the same thing all the time they make it the best. Recently the had a little bit of remodeling don't. Took out the big useless wooden bench thing for more space. Not much else to say about a major corporation slash huge chain store. Standardization is expected, right? Starbies tip: Green and gold members can order the smallest tea size and get free refills for the duration of your stay at Starbucks. This location is pretty well lit during the day, especially compared to other locations. Parking situation does kind of suck though. read more

I can't believe nobody has reviewed this Starbucks! It rocks! I'm pretty picky about my coffee and most of the Starbucks in the area have really inconstant quality. I think it has to do with the training and the constant turn-over of employees at the other stores. This location however is good whenever I go there, and many employees stay there a long time. I used to work within walking distance of this store and visit all the time on my lunch break. I blame this place for getting me addicted to Starbucks. So there is an employee at this location name Steven. To make a long story short, he use to work at another Starbucks in Anaheim. He was the coolest and nicest employee. He always remembered my order, he knows how much I like the peach tranquility tea and the cookie crumble mocha. But sadly I went in the Starbucks in Anaheim and I was told he had transfer but no one knew where. Over a year later I go in this Cypress location one morning, and guess who was there. I never thought I would see him again, and there I find Steven. We talk for a bit, he remember my order which was awesome. A lot of great things are happening in his life which is fantastic! Customer service was horrible. My friend and I were not greeted with a smile - it was more like a frown. When I asked for help with an order, the barista stood there blankly and not help me at all. The interior of this Starbucks changed as well. The furniture looks very randomized and awkwardly placed. There are random sizes of tables and different chairs that do not pair up with the table. I was not happy with the costumer service at this location. You definitely don't get the friendly vibe that you get at most locations. I ordered a dobleshot venti with heavy cream and whip cream, no syrups no sweetness at all, which I ordered almost 100 times before. I get in my car, drive off finally take a sip and that thing tasted extremely sweet. I headed back and the guy preparing the drinks, I assume not a regular employee probably an owner, not wearing a tag or the green apron, looks at me like I don't know what I'm talking about when I told them my drink had some syrup or something because it was too sweet. He described what I ordered as I had done and I said yes but told them that I'm familiar with the drink and it's no way that sweet. He then shrugs and tells me that whip cream is sweet. Yes I know it is but surely doesn't taste like 40 g of sugar I say to myself. Then with no apology and almost no words he makes me another one and it's actually the one I had ordered. I guess I wasn't the dumb ass that was making a nonsensical claim after all. This is not the costumer service Starbucks is known for and this location is missing big time the business standards for costumer service not only for Starbucks but I would say for California. Parking is so hard to find here. The ones in front of starbucks are one hour parking only so if you want to study for a long time your best bet are waiting for a parking spot a little further away from Starbucks. I did like their Mango Dragonfruit a lot. I used to get their Açaí refresher, but this one is my new favorite. There's a lot of strange customers, but that's normal for most starbucks. I wouldn't come here to study again because it felt really uncomfortable and I didn't feel safe at all. I did like how they made my drink very quickly. I couldn't get breakfast today and decided to stop by this starbucks to get a sandwich+espresso deal the company was offering. So i got the bacon.gouda.egg sandwich + a hot americano. The cashier(jeremy i believe) forgot to write a cup i guess.. No biggie. But after waiting for all the other drinks from the others customers to be done.. The barista asked me what i was waiting for..the cashier saw me and told his coworker that "he swore he wrote the cup down". None of them apologize for making me wait 15 min. "The reviews here vary but I will say that the drinks and the service will also vary based upon who is on duty at the time. This is more of a townie location and they get 90% repeat customers. If you're new and they don't know you they may or may not give off a positive vibe. I will say that they make the drinks here to order and to Starbucks strict standards.
