I been to a lot of Starbucks, and this Starbucks is by far my favorite! Although they can be really, really, really BUSY... they still give an excellent amount of customer service. First I will say that I preferably don't like Starbucks, but this place is one of my favorites since it's minutes away from my house and if I'm desperate for coffee, these guys deliver. Nino, who I've noticed has been working there for awhile is very good at making drinks. There is another lovely red headed girl (sorry I forgot your name) who knew what brown sugar was haha. I like espresso with brown sugar over ice. Best way to sweeten your coffee. Yeah, they don't make drinks Italian style, but this is an American company so it's only to be expected that you can have a 24 oz macchiato which I think is nonsense but their espresso is OK but not the best. 4 stars for convenience, nice service, and decent espresso. I only knocked down a star because there was one barista who didn't pour my espresso over the brown sugar to melt it and I had to drink my iced espresso with chunks of brown sugar. No bueno. It's common sense sugar is not soluble in iced drinks. I will revise this when I remember who you are. And to the guy who bitches about receipts for a refill of coffee. Come on man, don't be a ninny over a little thing. If you want more coffee brew a dam pot at home and shut the hell up. Go to the one in San Jose for all they care. Service is soooooo slow here. When we walked in, there was a bunch of people standing around. We asked if they were in line and they said no, they're waiting for their drinks. There was maybe 8ppl waiting for their drinks. We ordered and waited for those 8ppl to get their drinks. Then we got ours after 20mins. There are a lot of other starbucks locations around Daly City and each one fairly close to one another. I think I'll go to those instead of this one. I don't have 20mins to waste just waiting around wondering when they'll call my name. read more

This sbux is the best one there is. Pretty busy during the mornings, but they get through the line fast. Parking is there in front of the door, and its usually pretty easy to find. The service is great, and they keep the place clean with a clean restroom. You can always buy some food next door at the L&L and bring it in, get a drink and have a good lunch. They always have pretty girls behind the counter and that always helps the ambiance and they are all nice and always greet my by name. My favorite barista is a girl named Enon, she seems to know everyone's name, and everyone loves her. read more

This is an update from my previous review. I came back here again recently. I came here to get a Traveller's and I called them before I picked it up. It was not ready when I get there but one of the barristas came to me and offer help to load it to my car. Why? Because I have a lot of things in my hand. And then when we get to my car, I forgot something in their store. Poor guy, he have to go back to the store and get it for me. And yeah, did I say, I park really far from the place. I parked closer to Jollibee than the Starbucks. lol. So, I am giving them 4stars because of just this guy - Nino/Noni! As for the other barristas - I really have no clue. They seemed to be new. I've been debating if I want to give this place a 3 or a 4. I love their morning crew...they're QUICK. They're friendly & they're fast, which is what I like, especially when I'm in a rush to get my caffeine fix in the morning. On the other hand, their afternoon crew is SLOW. It took awhile for me to get my drinks. I'll definitely be back here in the morning, but I may go to Westlake's Starbucks in the afternoon. read more

This is the worse Starbucks ever. The employees seem like they are high school kids just chatting behind the cash register and doesn't seem to be paying attention. I was literally waiting for my water and they just want to talk and I saw the guy dump the empty cup because he had been so busy talking that he forgot that I asked for water. So I asked again. If it wasn't so convenient and close to my workplace, I wouldn't ever buy a drink from here. Last month, I ordered a white mocha. My manager treated me and I got sick from it. I had a really bad stomache at work and I had diarrhea a few times and had to go to the bathroom. My stomach didn't feel too great. All of my coworkers somehow gets a sick/stomache from this Starbucks. Just this one because I never had much problem with other Starbucks. My coworkers told me that their coffee taste burnt and it just never brewed right. I had better coffee and drinks at other locations. They also seem to be always running out of supplies like straws, cups, and cup holders. They ran out of venti cups and I told me to get Trenta. I asked if it was the same price as Venti. They said no. I ordered grande which I should have just walked out because they were the ones who didn't supply enough cups. I didn't want Trenta and have to pay more and it was too much for me to drink... They weren't even willing to accommodate even when they said it just a little bit more than Venti... I usually order venti Strawberry Acai and I had other Strawberry Acai at other locations and they was fantastic. This location always add too much ice, less juice and lots of water. I have to always tell them light ice and more juice. Meh, it still didn't taste very good... One time it came out very pink and it didn't have much flavor.... Horrible... read more

Yesterday morning the people working at Starbucks ABSOLUTELY MADE MY MORNING!! We walked into this Starbucks never have been here before and not only were they polite but they were totally on their game!! (I apologize I didn't catch the cashiers name) because they were amazing. I felt it was so awesome they helped me figure out a drink that I've been wanting to try but wasn't sure how to alter it to my liking. And didn't make me feel bad (even though I tried to apologize so many times because I felt like I was holding up the line). Al toasted our breakfast sandwiches perfectly and when Kat made my drink she made it just as I always wanted a barista to make my drink. She even took the time to quickly tell me the way she made it so that I can ask to Have it made the same way in the future. We left extremely satisfied! I am a regular here since it's close to my house. It's right next door to Lucky's, Red Ribbon, TK Noodles and Jollibee. Places I frequently go to :) All the staff are nice and all smiles. The bathroom is key coded, it's 5533 for the women's lol. This place can get really busy and I wonder why there's only 2 people everytime at any given time, the cashier and the barista. I always get the Chai Latte, Hot cholocate and the Caramel Machiato. Always venti, always extra hot. I find the Iced Chai very sweet and only one guy can get my machiato right and he's not there all the time. Their pastries are good especially the banana bread and the blueberry muffin. The yogurt/parfait are very pricey for me. I tried the oatmeal and I would go back for it. read more

I am a current Starbucks employee for over a year, and this was straight ridiculous. I come in with my mom and little sister order a couple of drinks, 4 to be exact, I was not on my second drink yet and the lady taking my order was already giving me my total for my order. Her name is JEANNIE, and I guess she's the manager there. I know this because I'm close to all the Starbucks managers and the districts. So I couldn't believe it. She was so rude, as I was ordering my other drinks she cut my mom off and was saying "did you want whip" in a rude tone. Although we saw each other later that day, Cholo was like "Hey Malou, lets get coffee...at Starbucks, ok?" but we got so caught up with so much that only at almost 7pm that we went here after getting a movie from Blockbuster. He ordered his "Grande Cinnamon Dolce Latte with soy no whip but with a little bit of caramel"....I cracked up everytime he says it...while I got my Grande White Mocha, oh and of course his rice krispies. Went to this DC Starbucks on my way to work in the morning and gave them my order. Guy at the register was so busy talking to his friends at work, he didn't remember to give me my order. I reminded him twice. Then i waited 10 minutes for my drink because the guy at the espresso machine didn't have my order. Not like he cared either, no explanation about why he didn't have my order either. Customer service isn't priority here, go somewhere else. read more

I come here to work when it's not practical to go all the way into the office but I can't work at home cuz the kids are home. Pros: free wi-fi, pretty reliable, relatively decent speed most of the time. Super super friendly baristas. Lots of parking. Never had a problem finding a table and a plug for my power supply. Sometimes busy at peak times but never as packed as the Starbucks in West Portal or Westlake at similar times. Cons: colorful characters who occasionally frequent this strip mall. Not terribly convenient for people using public transit. It's in Daly City, not SF, so there are no bins for recycling or composting, and we all know Starbucks generates a lot of waste with cups, straws, lids, bags, napkins, cup holders. I literally carry my garbage home to SF so I can dispose of it properly. On balance, it's my favorite location around these parts for working online. read more

Come here to do homework, relax. The staff is great, make drinks in time. Sometimes it gets pretty packed in the early morning, otherwise all good. Except for when staff allow this bum, dirty looking and all fall asleep in one of the couches, and then refill his cup with milk time after time. This is usually the Starbucks location I go to and the people in here are usually very nice. They have to deal with a lot of crazy people going in and out of this shopping center so sometimes they are a little "overwhelmed" and I totally get it because I am also in the customer service business. This place is always really clean and if there is a spill, they are on it pretty quick. There is one person behind the counter (middle aged, white woman) that is always so nasty. She always has a bad look on her face like "f*%$ my life, I hate my job". I always try and be over nice, which seems to make her even more bitter. Otherwise all of the employees are pretty awesome and nice. I usually only need coffee when I have had a hard day and need a pick me up or I need some fuel to get through the rest of my day, so I like to go in here and see all the employees working hard and making every ones drinks with a smile and a courteous gesture to follow. read more
