An angelic barista, Victoria, not only guided a first time customer through the ordering process, but through an emotionally difficult time, as I had just been released from prison after 37-1/2 years of incarceration. Rather than ostracize or recoil, Victoria showed compassion and humanity. I was in Fresno yesterday for my grandson's football game and in need for cup of coffee after a great lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I saw a Starbucks perfect .I walked in instead of the drive through. Nice looking store a couple customers we're waiting for their orders, No seating just tall stand up tables there was a few students with backpacks enjoying their drinks. No waiting but nobody came they were busy, after a while a friendly young worker asked if I had been helped. He came back when I said no, told him I just needed a tall (small) house blend with a little 1/2 &1/2 and a Splenda whatever they had brewed was fine. Kickoff was in about 25 minutes the young man got back to me in a couple minutes made my cup I paid with my CC I was out the door. Before I took a drink I got back into traffic and was headed to the game. Finally I had time to take a sip, OH WOW it wasn't hot, slightly warm and the 1/2 & 1/2 was spoiled big let down i took another sip but I was right the worst cup of coffee I've ever purchased I didn't have time to turn around and I'm sure the barista didn't know what he was serving. No one should have to wait for brewed coffee in a coffeehouse unless you're slammed and just ran out. And...if you are out and need to brew more, please inform the customer of the wait BEFORE they pay. And....no. An Americano is NOT the same drink and substituting this without even informing me when what I ordered was a brewed coffee is simply lazy. I hate to say it, but your coffee is crap. Stay away from this Starbucks if you can. I'm the only person in line at the drive thru, I order 2 drinks and they're already taking over a few minutes to make these. I'm being patient. Once they bring them to me they're completely incorrect. I order matcha and they bring me macchiatos. I explained how they're incorrect and the employee at the window laughs and says "I thought I heard matcha but my crew insisted you said macchiatos". What's funny? At this point, I'm asked to pull around and go to the back of the line and now my what could've been a quick Starbucks trip turns into an almost 20 minute ordeal because I'm behind a few cars now. When I come back to the window, they do offer me a refund for one of my drinks and they did make my drinks correctly the second time. But if you guys had any type of confusion the first time then questions should've been asked for clarification. Not just guess. This isn't the only time I've had issues here. My family and I were on our way to dinner at 4:30pm on a Saturday night and decided to hit the drive-thru before reaching our dinner destination. We came for the weekend promo of BOGO between 12-6pm. I ordered a Carmel macchiato for my dad and I got a Chai latte. $6.12 for 2 grande specialty drinks was a sweet deal. At the ordering window I let the clerk know I wanted to do the BOGO promo. Arriving at the pick-up window the clerk confirmed I wanted to use the BOGO. There was a bit of a drive-thru line around the time with about 4 cars ahead of us and 3 behind us. Just put on the counter. No kindness or welcoming service. Why? Anyways got drinks and mother liked hers, but mine had no Splenda and I asked for 4. Bummer! I came to the his Starbucks on 02/07/21 as it was so hot on this sunny day and I forgot my princess drink as I was not expecting to spend money but my drink ended up being free! With all my running around and shopping I was quite thirty and wanted something low calorie that wouldn't mess up my day and this drink is my go to all time time! Large iced green tea with a splash of guava! You can't go wrong at all! Perfect amount of sweet as I get no classic. Upon entering I was greeted and since this location was built around the time I was in high school I never been to this location. The line was long and I was puzzled as no one appears to be going in and I placed a mobile order. I guess COVID and people too hot to get out their cars. So I took my chances and placed my order and a few minutes went in as SOME locations let's you place mobile orders but you still gotta wait in drive thru but that was not the case luckily! The staff were all wearing face masks and working so hard! They all greeted Princess me and informed me my drink will be coming up soon. I waited about 5 minutes not bad and great customer service as each staff member was chit chatting with me! Which made the wait go by even faster! This store is disgusting and ran down. The homeless shelter is probably nicer and more renovated. They need new everything and I can never bring myself to come here because there's always a bug flying in my face. GROSS!!!! I DONT WANT BUGS IN MY FOOD NOR DRINK. Starbucks on first and Shaw has really stepped up since the mall Starbucks shut down. They are quick and friendly! While picking up my morning "pick me up" before work I seen they were having a paint night! My son and I stopped by and had a great time! Free painting, yummy drinks and treats and a great friendly environment for the kiddos. Thank you first and Shaw for creating the perfect oasis for your guests to sip and stay a while. Forgot to inform the barista im redeeming so he was a tad bit rude when i was checking out and did someone drink out of this cup before they gave it too me? Its 2/3's filled and not even lukewarm. Went in to get a gift card and a coffee, not very welcoming I know they were busy but a simple good morning or welcome in doesn't take much . I paid for my items then waited over 10 minutes for the coffee.. nothing , I asked one of the baristas if my coffee was almost ready or how long , with a bad attitude she said " I don't even see your order here , I have a lot of online order so it's going to take 10 minutes or more " 20 minutes for a coffee? I think Starbucks has some of the best coffee. No qualifiers. I spend about $100/month on Starbucks. Lately, the Fresno locations have been locking up the lobby. They will keep the drive thru open so there's that option. On this occasion I ordered my drink with the app so I could pick it up and be back at work during my break. There was at least 7 cars in the drive thru. I walked up to the door and it was locked. I lost my coffee, and the time spent picking it up. I use mobile ordering often because I do not have the time available to wait in a long line. Was really was upsetting is these stores not turning off the mobile ordering and locking up the lobby. I will have to start going to a different coffeehouse during my night shifts. I can't wait for a long line of cars. I don't have the time. This has happened twice in two different locations and there will not be a third time. The only reason this is not a 1-star review was because Corporate refunded my order that I could not pick up as soon as they saw the complaint. For the store managers of all the Starbucks in the area, please train your night crew to turn off the mobile ordering if they are going to lock up the store. I understand people are not wanting to work. Staffing is an issue. I'm sure you can train the staff you have, better. Very rarely have I found a Starbucks worker who wasn't wonderful. read more

Came in here willing to buy anything in order to use their bathroom, I had a full bladder and was ordering food near by but their restroom was busy so I figured what better place than a clean Starbucks. The drive thru line has not moved. I just noticed that I need a haircut, but I had one yesterday. What day is this? Going on 25 minutes stuck in drive thru. I'm in the middle so I can't leave. This Starbucks was simply not up to its corporate standards. How do I know? I just do. I realize stores can't pick their customers, but this had some downright sketchy individuals. One (very large) dude was hanging out in the bathroom corridor. At first I thought he was a bathroom bouncer, but then I realized he was just charging his oh-so-stylish flip phone. The fact that every person that needed to use the restroom had to brush up against this guy was totally creepy. One lady mentioned it to a barrista, who just laughed. After this odd experience I took a look around the room only to see one out of the 10 individuals with an actual Starbucks drink. The rest were just hanging out using the wifi and/or power. With no where to sit, I took my drink and left. The bathroom didn't have TP, soap, or toilet covers. The floors needed major attention. And the actual service and drinks? I've had better. With all the millions of Starbucks, you can find a better one to visit. read more

One of my least favorite Starbucks in town. I normally don't stop here, but I had some extra time before work so I figured why not? INSTANT REGRET. The service I received from the barista that took my order was rude as they come. No greeting, left me waiting in total for about two minutes, JUST to have my order taken!! I brushed it off and ordered a simple Carmel macchiato with coconut milk. Spoiler alert.. they did NOT use coconut milk. Anyways, back to the rude barista taking my order. He literally did not even ask me how I was doing, how my morning was, etc. all he did say was "is that it?" And "are you using your reward?" I had to ask him if I could scan my card for payment.. and for the record.. I said NO to using my reward. Well guess what.. he used it. Surprise surprise.. never stopping here ever again. Judging from some of the recent reviews... I'm not the only one either. I broke up with Starbucks about a month ago, but my hubby still dates it. So today after our walk we came to a different Starbucks we do not regularly frequent... Hoping, just hoping it will be better. Now, mind you, this Starbucks is located just off of Shaw Avenue. Shaw Avenue is an extremely busy Street in Fresno. We pulled into the driveway and came face-to-face with the truck. Couldn't back up (would just back up onto shaw) and couldn't go forward because they were in the way. So here we sit. Then the guys were cussing loudly moving their boxes as they were getting more and more frustrated. As my husband walked out of the store, they were offloading some boxes and literally 12 boxes were dropped and a few gallons burst open as evident from the liquid. The most prominent word heard begins with the letter F.... Granted this is not Starbucks, but they are delivering Starbucks branded product (it's stamped on all the boxes) This is still inappropriate. Just a suggestion but Maybe put some cones to block the driveway so people can't enter and get trapped in the driveway. Inside the employees were making fun of the guys, just very unprofessional and frustrating. The girl who helped my husband at the counter apologized to him as apparently her co worker was saying inappropriate things to her through the headset distracting her.... Used the drive-thru only and ordered two Venti size caramel macchiato but used my rewards. Young lady at the window asked if it was a reward or birthday gift and I said both, she said Happy Birthday and scanned my phone. Within a few minutes we were on our way. I will have to mentioned that there was caramel outside my cup that had my driving hand sticky, but other then that I enjoyed my hot macchiato on my way to Yosemite and it was free.
