Every time I step foot in this place they greet me by my first name and call out my drink and say venti on grande? the staff is very professional and happy, it's like everyone there loves there job and what they do. Came here at 4:45 PM, line wasn't too long and spacious area. There are a ton of tables and seats to relax at and they also have phone charging stations, just in case you're phone is dying. The service took a little longer than I would like, but I think the cashier was a new person, but it didn't bother me. The employee was very nice and personable also, he actually tried to have a conversation with me which was nice. My iced vanilla latte came out at a good amount of time and it was the correct order as well. Like most people I love Starbucks as a treat from time to time. The guest experience is usually average, and satisfying. Today I visited this location because it is closest to a friends house so I went to get us some drinks before work. I ordered the Strawberry Acai with cool lime refresher along with other drinks but the picture is what I received. It just looked like ice water and not even filled to the top. I didn't bother to tell them if they could fix it because the employees working had a bad attitude from the start. I usually don't have a problem with the baristas making what I order correctly, but based on the barista I get a stare like if i'm asking for too much when there is people who ask for way more complicated drinks compared to mine. read more

Suggestion would be to clean the tables more often, they were sticky which was kinda gross. There were several homeless folks who were inside. No harm in that, they need coffee and wifi as well. Worst Starbucks ever. On the app they're literally out of stock with everything. I ordered two cookie crumble frappes for me and my boyfriend. Sent him inside to pick it up and they told him it wasn't ready. After more than half an hour he asked again and they said they didn't recieve our order. We had to show them the order on the phone. They took 10 more minutes to make the drink and they made it completely wrong. No chocolate drizzle or Java chips and no cookie crumble topping. Literally looked like a caramel frappe and it was so sloppy looking. I had to go back in to correct it and even after they made it again there was chocolate drizzle all over the outside of the cup and they didn't have any cookie crumble. It was my first time to visit this branch and I took out one star because of the tiny parking space. The whole plaza was not designed to have a lot of customers and I wouldn't blame just this store of course. However, good points would be for this store not being that busy at all unlike other branches that I've gone to. The customer service was brilliant. They were very friendly and very courteous. I honestly don't go to a lot of coffee shops just to buy my favorite Hot Mocha, but this is a place where I wouldn't mind visiting once in a while to pamper myself with a grande size coffee. Good customer service with good coffee will be a great start of the day. I highly recommend this branch for some "feeling good" perks. Not to mention they really have good red velvet cupcakes. One of the worse starbucks I've ever been to. Garbages are all full, condiment bar is absolutely disgusting. As a former starbucks barista, i make it a point NOT to order outrageously high maintenance drinks (yup I'm talking about all you out there with your 3.5 pumps of vanilla with 1.25 Splenda, 145 deg jackholes). That being said, I get that I order something unconventional but it is NOT, by far, complicated. On a Sunday morning, 4 baristas working; two on the bar. There is no one else in line in front of me, however, I do see there are about 5 people waiting for drinks. This is red flag #1 that something ain't right. Then I notice the drinks are coming out, out of order, bc people are asking where their drinks are. This is red flag #2. Because my drink is unique (but again, NOT complicated), I keep an eye on the baristas on the bar (an Indian looking young man and an Asian young woman). I see them discuss my drink (typical since it's not a common drink), then set the cup down and start working on other customer drinks that came AFTER mine. At this point, I'm getting annoyed because about 15 min has passed to this point. They finally start working on my drink and I see the young man pour milk in a container to steam. This wouldn't be a problem except my drink doesn't involve any milk... He pours the milk in the cup and then the Asian female sets it on the counter and says my name. I asked her if this was the Carmel Apple spice (apple cider) that I ordered. She said yes. I asked "& you put milk in there?" She said no. Then Indian young man overhears and says "yes that's a latte." I showed them the cup that says "CAS" (Carmel apple spice), they both don't offer any apologies or that they will remake the drinks, and continue on their way. I stated (not questioned) "so you're going to remake it." Again, no apologies, no thank you, no have a nice day, no nothing. After working at Starbucks for three years and being a long time patron, I am appalled by this service. I definitely will be contacting corporate regarding this terrible location. read more

Coffee is standard, but my cappuccino was made just "meh" today. Too much milk, as many places now a day do. I've been told to go with the Doppio to make it stronger flavored but SOME starbucks locations actually get the cappuccino right. Also picked up a choco croissant which was very good (warmed up). Okay, so I wouldn't normally review a Starbucks. To be honest, I work at one in San Jose. I had to make an exception for this store, though! So here's the thing. I'm gonna be honest. I had been up in Santa Rosa for a family get-together at a restaurant. I really needed to use the restroom, but the one there was just too busy. I need privacy! After leaving, I still needed to go, but figured I could hold it until San Jose. Yeah, not fun. So my family's driving back in the pouring rain, when my dad gets a leg cramp and starts to pull off the freeway. Since we were making a stop, I shouted, "FIND A STARBUCKS!", and luckily we happened across this one! It was a life saver. A nice, clean bathroom. Seriously, a life saver. In fact, the whole store was nice and tidy. I'm sure it's a highly-trafficked store, but it was still kept up nice. The baristas were nice, and the drinks were yummy and just what we needed on a rainy night. So yeah, wasn't planning on ever reviewing a Starbucks, but I just had to make an exception for this place! read more

But still, who wants to spill their coffee in public in front of a ton of other people who are waiting for their drinks when you only have 20 minutes to get to class to take that exam you stayed up all night studying for. I usually stay away from this one during the weekdays being that's next to the 880 freeway. Not a weekend of convenience for my traveling needs. This Starbucks is located in a close different directions of my house. This one is the most closest to me to go on the weekends. The other Starbucks location on Mission while driving towards as my job during the weekdays is located in Union City. So I am so excited to have lots of near by locations I can choose from everyday. This Starbucks has been remodeled inside last year. I love it's new design of changes inside. There's more chairs and tables to use even if your party size is small to large. Since before this location was very small and crowded and packed there was barely enough room to stand for a cup of Joe if you know what I mean. The location has come far with getting a new facial or lifted up! I have noticed over the times it's also have new and different faces of Barista men's and women's. The barista at this location makes my drinks here 75% of the time right so my rating on preparing is 3 stars ! For their customers service and with all their hard work I give the team 3.5 stars. I will keep coming back to get my cup of Joe from here as often as I am able too. Leo is the manager he is always cheerful as he greets you at the door. I like that he remembers your name and favorite drinks of choice even though you don't come here often. Leo's staff should learn a lot from him! read more

They know the names and orders of their regular customers and always interacts with everyone with a friendly smile. Who doesn't love Starbucks?! And what's better than a Starbucks that down the street from your house? It doesn't get any better or more convenient than that. I've been coming to this Starbucks since I moved to Hayward almost 4 years ago. The staff is very welcoming, and thoughtful. They greet you with your name and always ask for your usual. RJ, Melissa, Marc, Virgina & Leo are awesome! Their my favorite baristas! Great customer service! It sucks that the city painted "what use to be" street parking red. Plus the parking lot can get kinda busy and crowded, especially in the mornings. But it doesn't bother me much since I always manage to find a parking spot or just walk a little ways if I do park on the street. Other than that, great coffee shop with great service! read more

My second time having a problem here I ordered a mango dragon fruit lemonade and they didn't ask my name or anything so when it was ready they jus said grande dragonfruit lemonade and I'm like that couldn't be mine caus it's yellow not purple so they ask around if it was someone else order an the lady said to me they're out of the dragon fruit infusions so they've been telling everybody it'll just be the lemonade I said I wasn't told that and she offered strawberries which I politely declined and I took the lemonade but it's the principle of them not letting me know caus I would've got something different . read more

This place is EXTREMELY hit or miss. FOH is always nice and clean and the new updates to the self serve refrigerator are really sleek. The staff here is really nice. But I have had more than a few orders go wrong here. The bar is really messy. Like milk jugs everywhere-someone needs to wipe that area with 20 towels-all the powdered flavoring drawers are open and mixing together- girl couldn't keep her mess and time management together- so I just nervously watched her as my two shots died-messy. If one person in your team is off... Every person on your team is off, No bad people here. I just feel like this store plays everything by ear, and that ear is not listening very well right now. Depending on who is working at the time here determines whether or not I walk out with a good experience. The drinks are usually the same at every Starbucks I go to so as long as they make my venti iced green tea without forgetting a specification then I'm happy because I know I'll like it. However, I was really disappointed after coming in from a long day and just wanting to get in and out of here. The line wasn't too long but I know since I just get the iced teas with no syrup or anything they just have to do some shaking a viola...done. Not this time though. There were about two orders at the espresso bar before mine and two people working (one making the drinks and one at the register). I order and the girl finishes one of the espresso drinks. After I ordered someone after me ordered something as well. Since the girl making the drinks was taking a bit of time on them (and there was no one in line at that point) the girl who was at the register made my drink and placed it next to the espresso machine so the other one can get it out I guess. After five minutes of my drink just sitting there I thought the girl had not seen it so I ask the other girl if I can get my drink. She tells me that I need to hold on and the girl at the espresso bar needs to give it to me. She needs to also get the drinks out in order. Really? You can't just put a lid on it and hand it to me. I mean my iced green tea is getting watered down from the ice if it sits for too long like that. Then she gives me a look and hands me my green tea. I don't think anyone would mind if someone gave me my green tea before someones latte or frappuccino. If the line of orders at the espresso bar is long and someone orders a regular coffee are they going to hold it hostage until all the orders are out before that one? I'm hoping that doesn't happen to me again here because since this one is so close to my new place I really want to like it. read more

I used to be a Starbucks fanatic and not so much now. This is their customer service is unbeatable compare to all the other Starbucks in the Bay Area. Instead of giving what I normally I would give Starbucks, I add other stars for their excellent service making it 4 stars. This Starbucks is actually much small that most of the other star bucks around the area and isn't decorated in any unique way. A few of the CHP and Hayward Police Dept. are regulars to this Starbucks. Especially with the early morning service these people were able work very quickly. There is this one gal that has a super good memory and was able to remember my name even went I didn't goto here for ages. read more
