Love this new addition in downtown! We've been coming here to try different things. We def have our favorites - def the banana latte, double matcha, banana matcha and matcha w ube foam. Their drinks are good - they just put a lot of ice, so def ask for less ice. The foam sometimes could be too thick to drink the beverage but the flavor is good. Will def visit again to try other things! Service is fast, the cafe is always clean and service is quick.
Saw tram coffee while we were walking around and decided to stop by since it wasn't busy! We were helped right away and the staff was friendly. We sat and waited for our drinks-- probably around 5-7 minutes. I tried the matcha latte and my husband tried the VIP coffee, our kids got the milk tea and one of the fruit teas-- I think it was mango? I don't remember lol The matcha was REALLY creamy and thick. Like THICK. I'm not too much of a fan of thick matcha so I didn't really enjoy it. My husband thought the VIP coffee was a bit too sweet and threw him off with the jelly inside lol. My kids liked the milk tea and the fruit tea tho!
On Sunday mornings, I like to grab coffee from a coffee shop as a treat. My wife suggested I pickup from Tram Cream Coffee as it is fairly close by. They are conveniently located in downtown Hayward and at 7am, there was ample parking near by. They have a large selection of cold & hot drinks. It was my first time so the employee helped me with some quick questions regarding their offerings. Ended up with a maccha drink for the wife and a Saigon cold coffee for me. I wanted something strong and boy was it strong! I generally enjoy Vietnamese coffee and this place did not dissapoint! The cafe is nicely decorated and they have indoor & outdoor seating. It was early so there was nobody there. They had Vietnamese music blasting. A little strong and loud for my taste on a Sunday morning, but it was cool. I highly recommend coming here as their drink offerings differ than your typical boba and coffee shop. Glad to have them in our neighborhood and look forward to coming back!
I've come by a couple of times now. The first time it was a quiet weekend after brunch on a weekend. I got the Matchahaya, which is basically a matcha Frappuccino. It was good, but not as strong in matcha taste as I expected it to be. In the pictures, the matcha is a deep green but when I received it the color was a pale green with a dollop of what seemed like a darker more concentrated matcha cream. I did like the taste of the drink, which was surprisingly floral in taste. I like the indoor space. The second time, January 2026, there was a DJ on the weekend and the music was blasting! He was blasting good millenial music mashups, I loved his taste lol, but damn it was loud and I could barely hear myself talk. I was torn between the egg coffee or the ube cream coffee. The staff told me that the egg coffee is stronger, while the ube cream coffee was lighter because of the ube cream. I went with the ube cream, and I was shocked at how strong it still tasted! I definitely felt like I had to allow the ice to melt because the liquid was thick and concentrated. Once it melted it tasted great.
After running errands in SJ, I hit up my coworker to see if he wanted to hang out for a bit. We both enjoy grabbing matcha together, so he suggested meeting at Tram Cream Coffee since it was convenient for both of us. The drink was good, but I'm not sure if I'll come back. Honestly, the cafe is easy to pass up. Once inside, they have some tables to sit or work at. Outside, they have a patio, where we sat with my pup. The atmosphere inside was casual, well-lit, and minimal. Service was pretty limited since the workers take your order and make your drink. I had the Matcha Latte with Sesame Cream. All drinks are made with nondairy milk. The matcha was fine, and the sesame was nutty but quite light. I'd say overall the drink was fine, it did caffeinate me, but the matcha quality wasn't the best. For the price, I'd wish for either more drink and less ice or better quality. My friend enjoyed his but also thought they gave too much ice. Tram Cream Coffee is a coffee chain with several locations throughout the Bay Area. I found their drinks to be fine, but nothing worth going out of your way for. This location is off B Street, with street parking or parking in nearby garages or lots.
Veryyyyy strong coffee but way too much ice. We got the creamy Hanoi and the egg coffee. I would recommend the egg coffee because it ended up being creamier and not as bitter. There was a ton of ice in the cups. There's so much ice that it's hard to stir your drinks and mix them. There was jelly in the egg coffee and it was hard to actually enjoy the pieces because the ice was in the way. The inside has nice seating and plenty of sunlight. It's located in downtown Hayward and there is a public parking lot across the street
A little pick me upper at tram cream coffee. I ordered the matchayaya. Not too much of a matcha flavor but more of a jasmine tea with a hint of matcha. The drink was also more like a frappe consistency, which would be great on a hot day. There is plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor seating. This is a great place to do some computer work. Parking is street parking or free downtown public parking. We ordered our drinks and the kiosk and got our drinks with 10 minutes.
Okay, the first time I had Tram coffee, it was at Vietnam town and I got the egg coffee or vip. I didn't know why there was so much ice and the coffee was superrrr strong!!! Being Viet myself, I should've known you're supposed to let all the ice melt so it waters down the coffee; because viet coffee is super strong!!! I didn't really drink viet coffee like that back then, so i didn't know lol. But yes, you're supposed to let it melt! Anyways, we gave it another try when this location opened up in Hayward and I am quite pleased with this new coffee experience lol. I've had the egg coffee, vip, salted coffee, and iced tiramisu latte! I wish they had sippy lids, so I could taste the cream topping better when I'm drinking the coffee. Overall, a solid Vietnamese coffee shop!
This location is easy to find with tons of parking nearby. While the staff was nice, I didn't really enjoy the coffee. For context, I drink Vietnamese coffee all the time. I even buy the concentrates. But their Saigon coffee was way too sweet for me. The shop was clean and I wouldn't be opposed to maybe trying their teas or lemonades.
1 small iced matcha latte with oat milk I've been wanting to try this place in downtown Hayward and decided to stop by for an early morning matcha. The location is great--right in the heart of downtown Hayward. It's a lovely spot with a cute interior and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu offers a good variety of options. Customer service, however, was mixed. The cashier could use improvement in customer service skills and wasn't very friendly or welcoming. On the other hand, the lady who made my drink was extremely sweet and even asked if I wanted more sweetener. I also noticed afterward that there's a self-service kiosk available for ordering. As for the drink, I'd give it a 4/5. The sweetness was perfect, and I liked that they use condensed milk for sweetener. The only downside was that the cup had too much ice. Next time, I'll be sure to ask for light ice. Overall, I would try this place again and would recommend it.
Located next to the movies. Decided to check it out and get a drink. Only one kiosk available for ordering drinks and there was about 3 patrons in front of me. After waiting in line for about 15 minutes an employee took my order at the register. Opted for jasmine longon but not serving anymore. I ended up getting the lychee fruit tea. It's like a bougie lychee fruit tea with bits at the bottom and a slice of lime on top. Drink was refreshing but lime did change the flavor profile a bit. You can taste the tea and lychee. However you can't order the sweet level. It was a bit too sweet for me but I may come back and try their coffees. There is inside and patio seating. Drink wasn't filled to the top just as stated with other yelpers.
Been hearing about this place and I finally in the area to give it a try. I originally came for the egg coffee but saw Banacha (banana matcha) on the menu that I had to try since I've been obsessed with the banana bread matcha from Starbucks. And omg it was soooooo good!! Only complaint is that it had too much ice... not enough matcha. I can't remember if less ice was an option. I can't wait to go back next week and try their other drinks lol. They have a lot of popular Vietnamese style coffee like egg coffee, coconut coffee, and salted coffee just to name a few, which not a lot of coffee shops offer. But idk, I might have to get the banacha again.
Nice trendy coffee Spot in downtown Hayward。my first time here and found out that they have wide selection of fruity teas and Vietnamese coffee mixed drinks, along with some snacks. I ordered the salted cream coffee with coffee jelly to try. The coffee taste is very strong and deep but also smooth and fragrant. The first few sips took a bit of time to get used to but it got better as I sipped it. Located right next to the movie theater. Very convenient location indeed! read more
Was in downtown on a Saturday to decided to stop by to try their matcha since I don't drink coffee. The interior was quite spacious and seats were available both inside and outside. I really liked the minimalist look. There were a few customers waiting in line around noon. A kiosk was available, but I decided to order from the staff instead. Initially I wanted the strawberry matcha latte but ended up ordering the matchahaya instead. It's basically an ice-blended matcha mix with Tram's signature cream. The drink was surprisingly not too sweet and the matcha didn't taste watered down even though it was mixed with ice. The ice could have been blended a bit longer to make it smoother. Overall, a great matcha/coffee spot to try if you're in downtown. I would like to try other items on their menu next time I stop by. read more

They are located in downtown Hayward so parking can get tough since there are a lot of shops & restaurants nearby. I usually order ahead for pickup and I like that they keep my iced drink in the fridge until I come to pick it up. You can also order at the kiosk or with the staff. There are seats and tables if you want to do some work here. The ambiance is clean, bright with natural lighting and very minimalist. Their phin filtered coffee is strong but the ice helps mellow it out. My favorite is the Green Gems. Its matcha cold foam with coffee and rice flakes. read more

Tram has an interesting menu with a variety of options for coffee and teas. Not much for food or snack options but they have a few pastries available. The ordering kiosk seems a bit confusing since it states it is for take out orders only and sometimes they are busy preparing orders. I also wish all drinks had same sizes. Some drinks are only available in small, and some only in large. read more
1 star because of how much they give you for a large. Which is just a small with a ton of ice. Service was okay they forgot to do the bogo for their banana drinks that's their promotion that ends tomorrow. We ordered 2 banacha and 1 large house special and they put our drinks in a brown bag. Now I feel like they did it on propose because when I checked the drinks at the car my large was only halfway filled. So they just give half ice and for the large to make it a large. This cafe has great natural lighting! There is plenty of tables to sit at and has an open outdoor area to sit at. I ordered the tiramisu cream latte and the egg coffee from the kiosk and recieved my drinks fairy quickly. The coffee here is very strong! Typical Vietnamese coffee with delicious egg cream on top! It wasnt very sweet but it balanced out the bitter and strong coffee. The coffee itself was very creamy. I dont think the tiramisu latte works since tiramisu is already a coffee dessert. It just tasted like a creamier version of a Vietnamese coffee. If you like strong coffees definitely check this place out! read more

I've been to a couple Tram Creams and I really like their coffee! It's different from other chain shops in the Bay Area. The interior is brightly light and has lovely floor to ceiling windows. There's booths you can work at and plenty of outlets so it's an ideal place to work. I usually always get their coconut coffee and haven't tried any of the others. The employees are very nice and will answer any questions you have (it looks like it's a family-run business). read more

I have been here maybe 10 times since the opening and this is my first time actually reviewing. My favorite cafe in the area!! So happy to have one of these downtown. Their coffees are really creamy and yummy and STRONG! If vietnamese coffee is your thing, I really recommend the Egg Cream Coffee. If Matcha is your thing, then I suggest Matchaya. If you like both, then Green Gems! Great aesthetic, also a really nice study spot. This has definitely become one of my go-to places. read more
VIP is a mix of egg cream, cream coffee, condensed milk and coffee jelly. It has a really strong coffee flavor, and it's strong for a coffee lover like me. Shake before you drink it, so the condensed milk and egg cream can mix well. If you don't want less coffee flavor, you can wait till the ice melts. Staffs are nice, and they serve your drink quickly. The restaurant is new and clean, and it's good for friends and family to hang out. read more
Finally got a chance to stop by this coffee shop today after seeing some hype online and honestly, it was just ok if not a little bit disappointing. The space itself is bright and modern, with nice lighting and plenty of seating definitely a spot that looks great in photos or even nice space to get some work done if you're into that. We ordered 2 drinks one was the salted cream coffee and one was the running dragon. I did choose the standard ice option even though there were option of less ice. But the first thing I noticed was the ice to drink ratio was about 80% ice. I mean I could've adjusted the ice ratio but a standard drink shouldn't be that much ice. The ice ratio didn't really affect the coffee taste itself but the ice was so thick that I couldn't even stir my straw in there. For a 7 dollars coffee, that was not worth it. The coffee itself was very mediocre and there was an unpleasant aftertaste for the coffee. The fruit drink was ok and average but again for an almost 8 dollars drink they can do better. Overall it's not terrible. Fast service, nice ambiance, mediocre drinks. read more

I tried to give this place chances after chances and even ordering different drinks but every time I leave and have my drink, it's a dissappintment. The quality of the drink is okay, and for the price it's listed, it's not worth it for the amount of drink you actually get. Even if I ask for less ice, it's never the case. The amount of ice in the drink waters it down significantly (with coffee) if you wait to drink it or too much ice where you drink it all in 5 mins. I loved it initially but it's not worth jt anymore.. definitely not worth the $$. Sadly, I don't plan on coming back.. read more
I enjoyed my milk tea boba with 75% sugar. It's not too sweet & I like the extra jelly they add onto the drink. The boba was soft and chewy -- not hard & old. IYKYK. My husband got the yogurt bliss and it's basically a halo halo dessert. Wish they gave you a larger cup or bowl to make it easier to mix. They give you a spoon to mix your shaved ice, milk base, syrup, and fruit on top. Yogurt was a little sour but not terrible. Probably wouldn't get it again though. read more
This coffee had me levitating at night, so if you go to Tram make sure to go bright and early (and not at 3 PM like me). I had the bac xiu/white and my boyfriend had the Saigon coffee- both excellent choices. The amount of ice that Tram gives you is abysmal though, I knocked a point off for that alone. It practically fills the entire cup from top to bottom. I liked the Saigon coffee more for the creamy texture, but the bac xiu taste was preferable for me. The taste of the Vietnamese coffee is perfect and has the right amount of bitterness to combat the sweetness of the condensed milk. The vibes here are really clean and well maintained. Definitely a great addition to the Downtown Hayward foodie scene, I would say. read more

A new Vietnamese Coffee shop in Hayward, just below Hinata, next to the theater. This place is good!!! I love how strong the coffee is and it's reasonably price. You order at the counter or you can order at the computer. The space is good enough for a quick chat with friends. I am loving all this new places popping out in Hayward. Matchahaya was so good on this hot Saturday afternoon! Literally my go to when it's too late to order a coffee. It's basically a matcha latte blended with ice topped with the matcha cream. The matcha cream at the top is so good but is it supposed to be this thick??? I will have to investigate further. -- I will have to say that this time it wasnt as good as previous visits. It was really icy rather than creamy and smooth like other times. I also ordered the Vietnamese rolled rice paper snack and it reminded me so much of Vietnam with the added American tax. Flavors were there, nice soft rice paper wrapped with sour mango, fried shrimp, fried shallot, and rau ram (not sure what it's called in English but it's also garnished with it), topped with Mayo and served with a sweet garlic chili sauce. read more

I got a small egg coffee here and received a cup packed with ice, consistent with the other reviews regarding how much ice comes with these drinks. I waited around 45 minutes to let the ice melt before trying the drink (though there was still plenty of ice left). Instead of tasting diluted, the coffee was strong, flavorful, and slightly thick. I had ordered less sweet, but it was still somewhat sweet for a coffee. The drink might have tasted too strong for me if I had tried it right away, so it makes sense why the ice level is higher. The drink portion still seemed a little small for the price though. The place was busy on a weekend morning. All the tables were occupied, though there was enough turnover for newcomers to eventually grab a seat. The interior and outdoor seating looked clean. read more
Oh myyyy. Stumbled across this shop. Creamy Hanoi is awesome. Tiramisu Cream Latte is epic. Matchahaya is more like a smoothie more creamy than matcha. You can either get put you order in through a kiosk (only one) or the cashier, solid options but the star of the show is definitely the Creamy Ha Noi. The place is really nice I bet it's more calm during a weekday if you're looking for a place to study at. read more

3.5/5. I saw that this location was open in downtown Hayward and decided to try. The interior was clean and had great decor - ideal for studying. You'll order through the kiosk and service took a little longer than I expected. Egg Coffee - The drink was great and strong (even with less coffee). My only concern about this place was that I had probably had 4 sips and my drink was already gone. They stuffed the drink fully with ice. It was difficult to poke the straw into the drink. Other than that, I enjoy the flavor of the drink though. read more
Hubby and I went to Tram Cream Coffee on 8/9. I've been seeing this on my Yelp page but was so hesitant to go because of the review. I was talking to one of the nurses I work with and she told me about Tram's and how it's the best Vietnamese coffee she's had! I told her that there was a location that opened up near me and that I would go and try. It did not disappoint!! When we arrived we were greeted and our order was taken right away. You can either order through the kiosk or the counter. Hubby ordered the cream coffee and I had the egg coffee. Both were really delicious! Strong Vietnamese coffee just how we like it! This has got to be a staple for us now! A lot of reviews said that there was too much ice, but we thought it was just the right amount of ice. Vietnamese coffee isn't suppose to be super sweet, and we like that we can taste the slight bitterness of it. Definitely will be coming back here to get coffee! Tram coffee? More like scam coffee I've been seeing them all over my socials and it looked really good. I was surprised to see the 3 star average rating but decided to give them a try. To my disappointment, the people complaining about the ice to drink ratio were not overreacting. There was sooo much ice that I couldn't even stick my straw into the drink. I had to let it melt for like 15 mins to be able to drink it. Who's got time for that lol. I also found the viet coffee too be on the bitter side, even considering Viet coffee tends to be strong this was not very pleasant. We got the standard egg coffee which was way bitter and did not have the sweetness to balance it out. The green gems was a little better. Service was a bit slow given they were not busy but it's not normally something I'd complain about. Though I can't imagine how long it would take if there was a crowd. Also kind of weird that their store menu doesn't have drink descriptions. You'd have to go on their website or kiosk to find out what the drinks are. Like when you name a drink matchahaya are we supposed to know what that means? Lol. read more
