Pete the cashier seems lost this Sunday Morning. Took my order didn't ask for my name and 3 customers later my Coffee wasn't ready. Luckily I had asked John the Barrista Guy to see if he got my order and cup. It wasn't there went and asked Pete, guess what? He didn't even remember my order and had that looked like he was deer who saw headlights. John was quick enough to get my order and I was out the door. Pete needs more training or pay more attention to people and not worry about how many other people are in line. Already people are asking about their orders and he looks very flustered and confused. This would be a 4 star however because of Pete I have decided to make this a 2 star. The rest of the staff seems to be on top it. I hate to leave reviews like this, but the Friday morning staff is garbage. Poor customer service and they just don't seem to care at all about the products they are handing to us in the drive thru. My triple caramel macchiato tasted like it only had milk and caramel in it.. no coffee at all..the cup had caramel dripping on the side and the lid was barely on. Thanks for the spilled coffee and sticky hands in my car. The bag my sandwich came in had openings on both ends so when I went to get my food it fell out and onto my lap.. The hot sandwich and cheese burned my hands and ended up tossing the hot sandwich out of the car window in their drive thru. Thanks for a super shitty experience. Nice location right by our hotel at Parq 55 in easy less than 5 mins walking distance. This was a typical Starbs but what made this place unique in its kind was the super cool and friendly employees...ordered the usual cold brew coffee but loved the fact that the crew here made what is usually a ho hum normal trip to Starbs a nice experience. The older white lady with China bangs is so rude. I told her how I wanted my drink and she kept trying to force me to use their verbiage. Also, when I said "yeah" she kept repeating "yes" as if she was trying to force me to say "yes" and not "yeah". She ended up getting my order wrong for the second time. I can see why this Starbucks gets a poor review. It's busy - probably due to location but it's filthy inside (especially the restroom) - customer service very poor. I ordered one food item and could tell I was putting the young lady out as I was interfering with her conversation with her coworker. I really hope the district manager reads the reviews for this location, because I know they really do care about quality and service. I normally patronize Starbucks in downtown SF, since that's where I am most mornings ... but, on rare occasion, I find myself needing a soy latte on the weekends and this is the location nearest my house. It's a good location near the freeway onramp and even has a drive-thru, which is especially nice early morning before one has had time for grooming. Throw on a baseball cap and go through the drive-thru -- that's what I do! Now down to the nitty-gritty: the drinks stink. The quality is inconsistent. Often the milk is overheated, burned. The taste is off, like the coffee or tea has been sitting a while. I'm thinking turnover is high at this location, which means the staff are always in training, which means you never get a superior beverage or experience. Until they can get this place on-track, me and my baseball cap are driving a little further for a better tasting soy latte. read more

Let me first start out with this: I started using my Yelp account just because my service was so terrible that it warranted a review. There was one person in line before me (who ordered a tea and received it quickly) and three people behind me. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato and waited. I waited 15 minutes, watching as the barista making the drinks was playing with the machine, one was at the cash register and the last two were gossiping out loud behind them. Eventually, the barista making the drinks/toying with the machines started a shouting level conversation with a customer who came in, then gossiped with the other two. Eventually, he made awkward eye contact with me. I had hope that he's realize I wanted my drink! But no, he turned his attention back to his conversation. Eventually, he realized he had 5 cups lines up in front of him and started doing his job. Kind of. One of the gossips raised the tea jars and loudly stated they they ran out of tea. Clearly that was of vital importance, so everyone dropped what they were doing to watch as one person went to do refill tea. My barista eventually regained focus and made my drink. Gossip #2 came over to talk some more and helped him put the cap on my precious macchiato. The two proceeded to leave my drink on the drive through window counter, so I was understandably quite irritated that I waited that long to see this entire process repeat. Actually no. It turned out to be mine. After it had proper time to sweat on that counter, they handed it to me. No apology. No nothing. Just returning to his conversation. Number of cups on waiting: 6. This entire situation is ridiculous. I've been to Starbucks in San Francisco, in the morning, during prime work hours, and I receive better service than this. Even when I wait 15 minutes for my drink, they apologize and wish me a nice day, even if it's not their fault. At least their wait time is justified. read more

If you don't have a car to go through the drive-thru YOU ARE SCREWED! They completely IGNORE customers when they come in house. I see 4-5 people busting their asses for the cars outside while a line of 3+ people are inside being ignored. I get rung up for my drink by an UNFRIENDLY barista who says "I'll be right with you" then laughs, jokes and socializes with his coworkers and warms a pastry for his coworker who isn't even in line. It takes 10 minutes (I kid you not, I timed it) for my incredibly easy drink to be made and it was the next in line to be made. I saw my cup sitting on the counter and nobody even glanced at it until I started staring down the barista who rang me up. During this time at least 5 cars were helped in drive thru. Seriously? Worst Starbucks I've been to. I'm amazed after multiple visits that this particular location keeps getting worse. Not only do the drinks come out different each time, they ask to warm your pastry however never actually do it. On the couple occasions that I've walked in, I can see why the Drive Thru is so agonizingly slow - everyone is crowded around the DT window talking about boyfriends, girlfriends, parties, what they are doing after work, etc. It also looks like the lobby area only gets cleaned about 1X a month. I see Starbucks as the McDonalds of coffee shops, honestly, and will usually pick another spot if given a choice. I didn't have a choice, however, and Starbucks it had to be. So if this is how I feel, why four stars and not two or three? It had your usual crowd of people hanging around and ignoring each other while they messed about on laptops and smartphones (remember when coffee shops were a place to gather and socialize with your friends?). The store itself seemed standard to other's like it, but the service left little to be appreciated. The young man taking orders stood lifeless and spoke as if the mere attempt to provide friendly customer service were limited to the employees behind him. My wait included the pleasure of listening to one employee share about how she loathed her time there and could not bear the thought of showing up to work the next day. The other simply stood there waiting for another order to be fulfilled, as she gazed at the dim light fixture... motionless... clueless to the beeping machinery next to her. We there after work. Your normal everyday Starbucks. Nothing spectacular about this site. No red flag eithers. I asked for double blended and soy milk. They charge extra for soy, but double blended is free. Best time to come here is when you have a deal or can get a free drink for your birthday. Then you can add whatever you like. My family lives in the area, so I'm a regular at this location every time I'm in town, so why only 2 stars? This place takes LONG - always. The workers seem more engaged in their conversations with each other than actually doing something while at work. Even when there is a long line, its not unusual to see none of the workers doing anything to make things move along. I guess this lack of working also explains why they're always out of milk and sugar and other things needed to prepare your coffee when ordering in. Even when I go through the drive-thru, they still take long. How long does it possibly take to pour a simple order of pre-brewed coffee and green tea? Also, the workers there fool around so much that you often have to remind them your order again when you reach the window and they usually find your annoyed reaction quite amusing. They also don't have any breakfast sandwiches or many of the usual food items you'd see at other locations. read more

Meh. I'm not sure why inside you get better service than when you go through the drive thru. Place is always clean and they have a nice layout at this location. They get some weird characters (customers), but the batista have always been patient and professional in the situations I've seen. Inside, they've never messed up my order. The drive thru... I don't know if they're unorganized and give customers wrong drinks or what, but my drink is always wrong and nowhere close to what I ordered. When I let them know, I'm always given looks as if I changed my order. What?? Don't roll your eyes in view of the customer, we can see it. I usually hit up this Starbucks because it's located near Highway 80, which is convenient when I'm driving up towards Sacramento from the Bay Area. It's also a two minute drive from where my family lives, so the location is pretty damn awesome. I've always gone through the drive-thru, and maybe I just go during really non-busy hours (usually anytime between 3-5 pm on Sundays), but service is generally quick for me. At most, I think I've only had to wait behind two other cars, and even then it wasn't that much of a wait. I always order one of three drinks: a caramel light frappacino, a green tea latte or a skinny vanilla latte, and my order is always prepared correctly. I've been to other sbux locations that think that a Green Tea Latte consists of a normal latte with matcha powder stirred in (SOO gross). If I've got to be the one to tell a barista how to properly make a Green Tea Latte, then that's straight up epic!fail. I'm always happy with my orders here, but again, it could be that I just go when they're not totally busy and potentially super, duper distracted? The baristas who take my order over the intercom and who help me at the window are friendly. This past Sunday, I even had a barista sing a greeting to me before I placed my order. It was enough to make me laugh since it was so random! At least, it was a helluva lot better than having to deal with an I'm-so-emo-I-hate-my-life-and-you type of barista that I've had the (dis)pleasure of encountering at other sbux locations (in LA *cough*). No complaints from this customer, and I'll continue to make my typical stops there before my long drives to Sacramento! read more

I have to say this is one of my favorite coffee places. I love the fraps and the actual coffee itself. Delicious if you add a blueberry scone! The people who work at this starbucks specifically are so delightful and have never been rude once, and Ive been there everyday for two years. They've even lowered my prices because Im such a frequent customer. And trust me, I've been irritating and bossy this year but all the workers do is smile. Yes, I support corporate conglomerates who are actually open in the evenings in the middle of nowhere and I can actually get my caffeine before the big long ride through Vallejo and to Sactown to visit my State agency crowd. The lattes here have always been strong, smooth, and creamy. And they keep me upright for the hour and 15 minute drive through nothingness. Staff are pretty friendly, so I appreciate it greatly, especially when they must see a lot of commuter traffic pour through without any charm. read more
