Service is excellent. You cannot go wrong with coffee. There are a couple tables for you to relax and enjoy your cup of coffee.

Pastry in Honolulu, Hawaii... My Starbucks app reminded me that I would get bonus Stars today (4-19-24) if I ordered a Danish. Well, I hadn't eaten much that morning, so I decided that I could get a snack before lunch! This location of Starbucks is a small, stand-alone building outside of Kahala Mall, near Macy's. It is best known for its drive-through, but I walked-up since I parked in the covered area by See's Candy. Standing at the window for a few minutes, I saw that the staff were busy. When they did come to the window, they were friendly and cheerful. I ordered a cheese Danish and didn't get a photo because I guess I was truly hungry. They had warmed it up so that the edges had a slight crisp and a bit of the melted cheese in the middle stuck to the paper bag. Shucks. That's ok... I got my bonus stars, and I wasn't as grouchy anymore! Hee hee!

    Good Morning!

Many may mention their issues of long lines and wait time and well I absolutely agree but it is what it is. I have several much much closer to me that don't have that issue probably because they don't have drive thru and/or curbside. Worked in the industry it's been insane to juggle several iPads, phone and in person orders that expects to get it all in a timely manner. I've never used drive thru and curbside ever until I broke my ankle which makes it just about impossible so this was my only option so I made the drive totally out of my way just for my happiness in a cup. Yes the line was insane but it moved decently fast and had excellent service and I truly appreciate this option to make my limited mobility situation much easier. No one in my area does curbside which I wished they did so this was my closest option, thank you!!

Well the Kahala Starbucks drive thru just lost 1/2 star for me. This morning my daily routine is to get my coffee at the Starbucks Kahala drive thru got there about 7:30am and I knew it long line line before . Look at my pics the line started from the entrance of Macy's Kahala and zig zag thru the parking lot. It's going to be like this back in March and April . I was sitting in line about 10mins and it hardly moved I got out of there . I headed down the street to good oh McDonald's no line at all yippee . I'm sure it's going to be busy like last time shut down because all Starbucks from Hawaii Kai - Waipio probably will be coming to Kahala Drive Thru. The nearest Starbucks drive thru is at Waipio near Costco! Even the mobile pick up line was busy . Well I'll see how this plays out because I don't want to wait over 30min in line for a cup of Joe . I might have to support other places during this time which they could extended longer SMH...stay safe people

"Portuguese sausage" and "scone" are not words that one would expect to be placed together…read more Hawaii's favorite breakfast sausage is more often associated with rice and eggs or scrambled into an omelette. But trust me, you must try this scone. And when they ask you if you want it toasted, always say yes. This Portuguese sausage scone is everything. The edges are delightfully crispy and the inside is moist. There's a slight sweetness, which is offset by the saltiness of the little gems of sausage scattered throughout. There's enough butter for richness, but not too much where it feels oily. I dare say it's my favorite scone on island. The drinks are highly recommended too. The lavender honey matcha is delicately floral and the honey adds just the right amount of sweetness. The velvet cream cold brew and honey cinnamon latte are great coffee options. Everything is reasonably priced and high quality. Customer service is wonderful. There seem to be quite of lot of regulars here, which is always a good sign. Parking is a little limited but I've always found a space whenever I've come here. There are a bunch of tables and free WiFi, so it's the perfect spot to get some work or studying done. Skip Starbucks and support local!

It is quiet here with soft music. Note that 20% tip is automatically selected when paying by card. I wasn't paying attention and just advanced forward. Unfortunately I love their coffee so so much, but it's not very often they make it correctly…read more I always get their iced earl grey latte, but I saw on the screen it said "hot" so I told the staff and they said they knew it would be cold but they can't find the button for cold. However, they didn't communicate with their barista, so they made me a hot latte. I told the barista and they rolled their eyes and sighed at the mistake (directed at their coworker who messed up- not me) and they did remake it. Then I went in with my mom and she asked if she could please have a corner piece of the pastry we got. Barista said "of course," but didn't communicate to their coworker and they gave us a middle piece. Annoying but whatever, but on the same trip I ordered the same iced earl grey latte I always get and I saw they put in "earl grey tea" on the POS machine and I told her about the error and it was supposed to be the latte not the tea. She said there wasn't a button for it and they would make the latte. However, after waiting a few minutes, they left the store and the coworker took over and they told me they were working on my order, but they were in the back for some reason (espresso machine is in the front- but maybe they had one in the back too?) but they came out with a hot for here drink and I told them it was supposed to be Togo and iced. They came back and then I realized the reason it took 10 minutes waiting is because they made me fresh hot tea. After waiting about 15 min three in total I decided to accept the defeat and not say anything. Weeks before this, I got a bagel with cream cheese and I should've checked before I left but they didn't give me cream cheese. So I paid $4 for toasted bread. Every time I come in, whoever I'm with and I are so baffled by the service and what we get. It seems like the staff never communicate with each other and even when you do communicate with the staff, it doesn't pay off. I've had a couple times where I go to order or ask the staff something but they are on FaceTime chatting and it feels like I'm interrupting. To be fair, it's my fault for going so many times but I like to support local, didn't want to write them off for a little mistake (but its just consistent now), and I love their lattes when they do make it correctly, but I guess I'm just going to learn how to make an Earl Grey latte at home from now and I hope I can make it close to how much I loved theirs.
