Much like what everyone has already said here, the wait times are ridiculous. However instead of one or two stars, I elected to give three stars. Reason being is that the wait issues are probably a managerial issue rather than incompetent staff. Example, I was in the line that was about 5 deep, the register lady kept on stepping away from line to do other things, such as put the food in the oven, take it out and pass it on to the pick up area staff. She also had to refill and run the beans to fill up the coffee growlers. Every person she helped to take orders, she had to step away to do other things in between. Perhaps she's over too helpful and not focused enough on taking orders. Or perhaps corporate doesn't allow more help. Either way, because of her actions, it was a 10 minute wait just to order. Like I said, its probably not from staff competency but rather big corporate trying to suppress salaries and hours to maximize profits, resulting in inefficient ordering and processes. Its always about $$$ when it comes to big companies... Pump out as much product, with the least amount of FTE. read more

Updated review: Service has been improved since my last encounter with trainees (I guess?! So unprofessional and clueless) Staff is fast, welcoming and nice! Love that! I was in n out the drive thru for 7mins tops! However, drinks taste mediocre. I always order cold foam but they never do it right like other locations do: foam is not thick enough, dissolves in minutes! I expect foam to be thick and creamy which I didn't get at all! The location is a blessing and curse not ideal for customers in drive through that blocks the feeder road next to the frwy which causes traffic and possible wrecks. Idk why so many ppl don't like to get out of the car when the inside is empty. I am on this side of town more often now that I have been assigned to this territory and a good friend has relocated from Pearland to SW Houston. The customer service is beyond super and the staff goes above abt beyond to accommodate and greet every customer which is refreshing. The young lady who works in the evening is always rude. I went one time and thought maybe she was having a bad day and gave her the benefit of the doubt but I was wrong. I've gone a few times and she always seems upset. Doesn't raise her voice or anything but she is so condescending and inpatient. Sorry, I live in the future. In my prior life, I've worked as a barista. So the following is from experience and not just IMHO. I noticed these things based out of being behind the counter as a food service worker from my high school and college days. The cappuccino I ordered took an inordinate amount of time to be made. There was no usual excellence bar, the barista didn't care and was on his own laid back schedule and seem to keep walking away from his station to get ingredients he needed. The que kept growing for drinks. He was nonplussed. Drive thru looked to be backing up. My ride outside was seriously inconvenienced. I considered leaving without my paid beverage. Was I really in a Starbucks or a bus depot? It was stunning. Inside not meticulous but dirty. Further the look of the customers in the lounge were, how do I say this nicely...Unkempt people from different ages AND social strata with expensive electronic equipment that had a similar thematic behavior...they don't care. Many in the lounge camped out with belongings strewn about. Students, newspaper readers, lap top loungers. This space is sloppy and small and needed a lunchroom lady or hostess to keep this social experience to keep it together. Not me. I'm not applying. Space: Maybe Starbucks needs to expand this space or re-plan the layout. It was hard not to bump into people with all of the couches, promotional point of sale displays and, well, people lounging and waiting endlessly for their beverage. Fact: The turn in for this Starbucks has a bad approach from the highway feeder. I've been almost hit a few times and in the morning, during past visits, the que to get in starts in the highway feeder. What? Who laid out this store? I usually frequent the drive-thru. And readily admit, It has been a substantial amount of time since I've been inside. I'm not returning. I don't feel safe here. And after I placed my order I checked in on Yelp and only then read the prior reviews. I was sad to agree with them. Yikes. Every-time I go to this Starbucks, there is an issue. Each time I go, there is a different group of staff. Not everyone is to blame because there are sometimes people asking the Barista about the drinks and trying to expedite things but are ignored. This trip in particular was especially aggravating to me. I placed an order on the Mobile app at 1:24pm for 2 drinks - neither of them with any special enhancements other than extra caramel drizzle and light ice. I chose the option for curbside and checked in when I got there 3 minutes later. I know this is a very short amount of time between placing my order and knew it wouldn't be ready, especially if they were busy which they normally were. I waited in my car for about 10 minutes then realized others who were parked in the curbside slots had went inside. Given the history of my visits, I felt like I should probably let them know I'm here so I can actually get my drinks. I go inside.. let them know I chose the curbside option but I'm inside so I can grab my drinks whenever they're ready. I get a glance and nothing more. I stand off to the side. Somehow.. everyone in the drive thru got their drinks immediately while the 6 other people scattered in the Lobby were waiting as long as I was. People I seen walk in after me were getting their orders before mine. Finally, someone other than the Barista asked if my name was Rachel (which it isnt), I told them no and what it was and again, that I had a curbside pick-up but came inside instead. It took me 30 minutes to get 2 drinks.... and the cloud macchiato was made incorrectly - they missed the whole "cloud" part. There was no foam. This review is solely based on the nastiness of the restroom. There was no toilet paper (2 slots available) & there was no seat covers. The floor looked like they hadn't been mopped in days. There was trash behind the trash can & it just looked unpleasant. My boyfriend had to personally bring me toilet paper from the other restroom because the staff wouldn't. This is one of the closest locations on my route to work, so I often debate if I want to use the drive through or walk in - line and parking lot dependent. Since this location gets a lot of tire and foot traffic, I often find it faster to walk inside and grab my drink rather than wait in line. On the days, I have to wait in line, it's often a twenty minute wait...which I find a bit long. So, I've discovered the best times to patronize this establishment is at 10am or 2pm Monday - Friday or around 9am on Saturdays. I can't really speak of Sundays...but I'm sure it follows a similar pattern. I don't know much about business development, so I can't really speak to how to improve or make service here more efficient - - - since it's one of the few coffee-shops in the area with a drive through, I feel awfully limited at the moment. read more

The previous reviewers are correct--this is a pretty horrible location since it's right by the feeder road for those about to get on the ramp for 59. You should exit Wilcrest travelling Northward on 59 and get over the right to turn in, but the drive thru is always packed. That's understandable, but those who don't mind going in to order will have issues finding parking. It was just after noon on a Sunday when I stopped by and all the parking was gone, so I parked on the side east of the drive thru. If it was busier, beware--them Starbacks feigns may not see you crossing! Entering in, of course the layout is like any other Starbucks, I just wished they had greeted me a little bit sooner. 5 minutes probably passed by before I received a hello or I'll be with you in a minute. Barrista made sure my order was correct--several times (and it was only one drink lol) but at least it was accurate when it came out 10 minutes later. Probably the longest I've waited at Starbucks with the least amount of people. I remember waiting that long at a place thread totally slammed with lines inside and outside, but the drive thru was clear by the time I ordered and only 2 people were in front of me. Go figure. This is the dirtiest Starbucks I've ever been to. The bathroom is disgusting! I saw several employees go in to use them but not clean them. The lobby has coffee beans all over the floor and all of the tables are dirty. I ordered a hot coffee and it was barely warm. I sat the the community table that was empty beside me and my friend. And the lady that checked us out came and sat right next to me. I recommend you stay away. I don't trust the cleanliness of the entire store. Their drive-thru is notoriously known for taking forever to make drinks. The service inside have been this terrible, but never really that great either. I asked for a drink, a Mocha Macchiato (it wasn't on their menu), I'm no barista, but if you replace the caramel drizzle with mocha drizzle, there's your drink. There is always something wrong, or heavy handed or light handed. Second, the service is THE WORST.
