I'm very sad and angry about how I was treated at this location. Today I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. On 04/15/2026, around 11:39 AM, I ordered a latte and sat at a table in front of the cashier. I kept watching the counter for my drink, but I saw people behind me get their orders first. After about 20 minutes, I went up to ask about it. The employee named Jack, who took my order, told me he had accidentally placed my drink in the drive-through area, which is why I did not see it. I believed him. Then I ordered a turkey sandwich and sat back down, watching the pickup counter again. This time, I watched carefully. I saw another staff member place an order that looked like mine on the pickup counter. Then, shockingly, I clearly saw Jack take it and put it back into a basket. Everyone else's orders were left out on the counter where customers could see them, and mine was the only one placed back inside. At first, I tried to tell myself maybe it was a to-go order and that maybe I was mistaken. So I waited about 15 more minutes and watched other customers continue to get their orders. Then I went to the cashier again and asked about my sandwich. Jack came over and said he had mistakenly put it inside the basket. But I clearly saw him take it from the pickup counter and put it there himself. I kept asking myself: why was only my order in there? I feel really hurt, disappointed, and upset by the way I was treated. I was the only Asian customer there at that time, and that fact means something to me. I just moved to this area a few months ago, and I came to this Starbucks often to study. I always ordered at least two items. This experience made me feel terrible, humiliated, and singled out. I cried so much today. Being treated differently and feeling picked on is one of the worst feelings. I am also a human being and I have always been respectful to the staffs there. This new location was recently propped up over the former el pollo loco location. I was intrigued and as such, I made my first visit after it has opened for about a year now. I don't understand this new SBUX layout but it is rather bright and cold, not warm and cozy like SBUX of before. Gone are the comfy chairs and warm ambient lighting. It has been now replaced with sterile cold lighting and hard chairs that I could barely sit on even while waiting for my drink. The service was fast and efficient but it made me feel like I didn't want to hang out at this place to study. The store had seating but the chairs are so uncomfortable, I don't think you would want to stay there for long. Perhaps this new update is to prevent people from staying here over long periods of time? Anyways, I ordered a hot grande white chocolate mocha, along with with a cup of water. The grande white mocha was delicious, I had no qualms about it. I also know that SBUX has recently been closing down stores such as the one on Bolsa and Edwards after 26 years. Hopefully it doesn't become a trend but I missed the warm, cozy stores. Overall, 4/5 yelp stars for this experience. I know that people go to SBUX for drinks and as such, there's nothing wrong with it. Just wished the decor was more warm and inviting. read more

So I have to wait for at least 5 mins. And ordering had yo wait approximately 10-15 mins. That didn't made my day at all. Whats going on Starbucks???? Very disappointed.. Love Starbucks, in general, but this brand new location is off to a rough start. They're out of stock of a lot and missing crucial condiments for their food items. Employees seem nice enough, but today I placed a mobile order and only spoke with the employees working the drive thru window. We ordered two espresso frapps and they were tasty, so that was a plus. I hate to chalk out for you all Yelper's. The sad tail of someone taking themselves way too serious. Well, harsh tones are unacceptable and to make you into a spectacle. Wow! Really? All over 50 cents? The front face GM gets hostile and with a tone. READ your website! Because we were walking with groceries on a burning hot day and this dude with the big mouth thought we were less than! We have money and all we demand as a paying patron to show some respect to the locals. SO WHAT! It is a Busy shopping center and yes it has an infestation of the less unfortunate. ** Dogs Welcome ** on leash So for whatever reason the app wasn't working for me to order ahead. I called this location to make sure my canine kid was allowed inside as it seems not all locations are okay with that. I love that the Team member who answered said they not it like some people do. Hearing "it" irks me. Like my Dog is not an it she's my kid. But that's my own hang up. Anyway.... Everyone at this location that we interacted with was super cool. This is a great Starbucks location in Huntington Beach. Customer service is always a 5 out of 5 when I order from here. Teresa works at the front taking customer orders and extremely kind, quick, and patient. Always attentive to customer needs and with a smile on her face. Kudos to the whole Starbucks team at this location. Today, I ordered a grande vanilla sweet cream cold brew. It was done within 2 minutes of ordering and came out delicious as always. Now, in terms of space. There are around 11 tables that fit two people per table, 1 large table that fits 4 and a long table that can fit 8 people. That is indoors. They also happen to have an outdoors that has 4 tables that fit around 2 people per table. They also have two restrooms accessible to customers. You simply need to ask the staff for the code. I ordered a venti iced Brown sugar oat milk shaken expresso today and when I was driving away I noticed that my drink it wasn't even filled to the top and the cup was so packed with ice that I couldn't even mix the drink around. I called the corporate number to complain and they said the only way to get a call back or a refund was if I had the Starbucks app and that they couldn't help me unless I had the appt which sounds outrageous! i usually do not leave reviews over small things but they completed botched my order, i was getting coffee for me and my girlfriend and her coffee came out great but i had ordered a matcha latte with light ice and strawberry cold foam, pretty simple right? no, the matcha came out to be a sea foam green and if anyone who knows matcha, knows its not supposed to be that light. straight milk on my first sip. i was very bummed about it but luckily i was able to add my homemade matcha to it when i got home. other than that, the service was great and they were very sweet, i just felt bad going back and making a huge fuss about it. read more

When I tried to order I was told I called the Barista a name and they would not take my order. I have worked in retail for 25 years and have never ever talked down to a worker having to deal with the public. I have never been anything other than kind. I have been to Starbucks for more years than 25 even. I pulled to the window as asked and explained I did not call the barista a name and what I said in my car to my passenger was prior to even ordering. I was not yelling or anything and still I was told I would not be able to order and they could not help me. Every single person that has worked here since it opened has always been very helpful and kind to me. The customer service is top notch. To whomever this may concern, I'm writing to express my concern about an incident that occurred today, 9/23/24, around 1 p.m. at the Starbucks location: 16920 Goldenwest St, Huntington Beach, CA 92647. I came into the store for a little afternoon snack and left with a very poor impression. I have an 8-month-old baby, and as anyone who has kids or has been around babies knows, they often make noises that are beyond your control. My baby is currently in a shrieking stage. He recently discovered that he can make this sound, and he does so randomly, without any particular reason. I want to emphasize that my baby was not in any kind of distress; he was simply shrieking occasionally. While I acknowledge that it's not a pleasant sound, he is not a toddler or older child whom I can ask to quiet down. The manager of this location, Nicholas Vantwist, approached me and, in a very condescending manner, asked if I could control my baby because the noise was "ruining the ambiance" of the store. He also mentioned that if I couldn't, I was welcome to sit outside, which felt like a strong suggestion to leave. I was honestly speechless at this interaction. I have never felt so judged and discriminated against in my life. As a mother, there's already so much anxiety when leaving the house with children, and we do our best to keep them well-behaved so as not to inconvenience others. I believe it's important to remember that, even if someone doesn't have children, they were once a child themselves. I truly hope no one ever made their mother feel the way I was left feeling today. This experience left me with the impression that Starbucks does not respect mothers or children, which is both sad and upsetting. While I understand that my baby's shrieking is not a pleasant sound, he is still a baby. There are better ways to approach situations like this, but unfortunately, Mr. Vantwist's handling of it ruined both my experience and my day. I sincerely hope that whoever is reading this has some empathy for a mother who was just trying her best but left feeling discriminated against, hurt, and deeply saddened. As we all know, so much of where we frequent depends upon proximity. If you have the extra time I urge you to spend the extra mile and try out this location. For starters, it's a new Starbucks... not from ground up, but it was renovated from an "El Pollo Loco." The ambiance is suitable for the commuter... with a drive thru. As of now, the furniture is clean and new, mostly wooden stools and chairs with a long table and many USB/Wall charging ports. Basic comfort might not be why you'd pick this location. But, try this location anyways... because the organizational culture post pandemic (2020) has the right idea as far as the marketing agenda; "Fast friendly and efficient!" The employees here seem to all get along super well here... that's always a good sign that they are taken care of by proper management. I've noticed many of times, rude and unbecoming drifters lashing out at the employees. And still the employees exercise the utmost patience and professionalism. There was a slip up on my order last time I was here. They just gave/charged me for a Grande when I ordered a Venti. Without even having so much to ask for it. They brought me another Venti without me knowing. That made my day, random acts of kindness and good vibes! This is not a location based in a "Target"... so tips can be made and are greatly appreciated. And that's why you should come in and support this location. Nobody that works in the public/service industry deserves to be treated like crap; especially when they are working so hard to keep things clean, and serve you with plentiful smiles. Isn't that the worse thing... when you are a patron to a club or facility and they can't even greet you with a smile, or "how's everything going?" I always order the same drink, pink drink with light ice because otherwise they filled up your cup with ice and only a quarter of the venti cup It's the actual drink. I order from here most the time because it was the place that they usually get it right but sometimes they do it or too sweet or has no flavor. so when they do it too sweet, I ask for a little bit of oat milk on the side to make it taste better but this time out of all the other Starbucks around the country that I have asked for the same thing which is a little extra oat milk to fix it, they wanted to charge me a full drink just to give oat milk on the side. makes no sense since they are the ones who didn't get right, I didn't ask to redo my drink I only asked for a little bit of oatmeal on the side to make it a little less sweet. The drinks are supposed to be consistent store to store but this location almost always tastes burned (iced coffee) and regularly forgets to include sweetener when I order it and it's on the drink label. I'm not sure what is going on here but the cost is way too expensive to be making drinks incorrectly. Except for Today,June 15 I went through the drive through around 8:30 ish and the girl taking my order was just so rude, bland and had an attitude on her when I was asking for my order, she for sure shouldn't be working here. Luckily the girl who gave me my order was of course super nice and welcoming. I was kinda hoping I had got the same girl so I could get a look at her name tag.
