I came here just after noon on a Thursday, and was fully ready to fight a lunch rush. But I scored parking immediately, and walked right up to the cashier. No wait, woohoo! I had my venti decaf Americano, no room in my hot little hand in a few minutes! The baristas were all super friendly here - I got a warm couple of hellos AND have a great days. And the polite dude even called me Miss - instead of Ma'am : ). There's lots of comfy seating inside, and it's lovely and sunny to sit by the fountain on the outside patio. I love this Starbucks. I go here all the time because 1. It's close to where I live 2. It's in a plaza that has a grocery store, the bank, and the post office. You can get a lot of things done with a one drive. They've always gotten my coffee drink on point and though it's always crowded, I've always manage to find somewhere to sit. The lines are long do come prepare. I've seen people grab seats before they get their coffee because lines are super long. I actually use my Starbucks name "Jorda" whose also my one of my friends Starbucks name too because apparently every time I come. I've gotten a lot of amy, Annie, Anne, Anna. I recently visited this location after placing a mobile order. Upon my arrival, my drinks were ready, but made incorrectly. When I approach the barista about fixing the incorrect drinks I was rudely approached & had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get my drink after the barista error. Staff can definitely use a training on customer service and how to handle situations when they have made a mistake. Nice bathroom. Easy parking. Thats where the good stuff ends! This Starbucks SUCKS! They are always busy so there's a line. They can move the line quick with workers starting your order before the register. Then you get your drink and IT'S WRONG. I have given them the benefit of the doubt. You can make a drink wrong once....even twice. But everytime I go???? Seriously every time. Something is wrong. I tell them room.....they write it.....the barista forgets it. I say decaf...they promis it is....it's NOT. I have had the barista LIE about this more than once. I have gotten a latte instead of my Americano once. Apart from bad service you get bad coffee? I ordered a short pour over and the barista rolled her eyes at me. I aware it takes longer to brew and I waited patiently. After watching them wrongly make it I waited to try to make sure it was decent tasting. I got a blonde roast. I tasted it it was super strong because they used a full scoop of coffee beans that they use to make the large pot of coffee. I asked her to just give me whatever they have brewed since that was not drinkable. She proceeded to rudely tell me that "blonde roast is stronger" and I assured her that after working for a coffee shop for almost a decade I am aware of blonde coffee being stronger in caffeine not in taste. I left very unsatisfied and threw that second cup away and didn't ask for a refund because they probably would have rolled their eyes and I wanted to keep my peace. I really like this starbucks spot. It's a great place to work, natural lighting, ample parking and plenty of stores and restaurants nearby if you want to grab a meal or run errands. However I give it 3 stars because the wifi speed is so slow, if there is more than 4 wifi users the speed drops to a zombie like speed, it's so slow you forget what you were searching for in the first place. This would be a great place to study and get work done, but starbucks you gotta fix this issue, you Can totally do better. Wifi is the name of the game everyone's got some kind of wifi-using device. On my second visit to this SBUX at 9pm it was simply a mad house. I felt like there was a pre-school behind the counter with employee's talking loudly, goofing around and chasing each other with customers glancing at all the mayhem from 9pm til closing. I realize the young staff (20 something) wanted to have fun but I will have to fault the store manager at his lack of staff training. Tried to get in an hour of study over my Frap but to no avail. As a former Starbucks Barista I remember being trained by corporate to uphold Starbuck's standards of consistency within service and recipe. I usually travel out of my way to walk into a Starbucks before ever choosing a competitor, maybe I'm a loyal snob, but I'll know my drink will be the same at any location and the service will be a higher standard. This location was small and not busy so me and my boyfriend figured we'd grab a drink while shopping. The barista told me I couldn't substitute in a syrup in my caramel macchiato. Since when can a customer not customize their drink? Then my boyfriend takes his first sip of his cold brew he ordered with no ice. With ice in cup, he accepts it, but then finds grinds all throughout his cup. As I'm grabbing my straw (understocked) from the condiment bar, the older man next to me is asking the baristas where their napkins are but they're too busy talking to each other by the espresso machine, so needless to say, I help him. Now I understand this is a licensed concept, but I too worked in a licensed concept and our location was able to carry out corporate standards. So what's the deal? This is my neighborhood Starbucks, so I have nothing but love for this spot. Parking: nonexistent. Let me explain: there's a parking lot but it's always full. Unless you plan on coming late afternoon or first thing in the morning, plan on spending a good 10 mins searching for parking. Pro tip: find street parking then walk, it's beautiful around the marina anyways. The cashiers are always so friendly and baristas work pretty fast. I've never had an issue. Vivanno Strawberry Smoothie - Princess latest drink of choice - think Strawberries and cream Princess also picked up some Sugar Free Chewing Gum that comes in that classy little tin. A myriad of out of work actors and HVAC workers stream in and out during the day. I experienced one of the more confounding works of stupidity recently when a pea-brained Starbucks employee took a broom and started sweeping the dust out of the small piece of carpet near the front door inside of the building. When he swept near the tables, you could see all the dust being strewn up in the air, only to be inhaled by the unfortunate patrons slaving away on their computers. The smell of dust permeated the place for hours after. Think a better way to do this, would be to do this at the end of the night near closing time, or use some sort of electric device to get the dirt up, not simply sweep it into the air and ultimately into our lungs. Food and shopping and errands can all be accomplished here. - Parking is plentiful, never a problem - Outlets everywhere, at every seat, and lots of seating. - Open late! At the time of this writing, it's open until 10pm all week! The latest I've found a Starbucks open in the immediate area. (Latest goes to the Palos Verdes Starbucks at The Avenue, which is open until 10:30pm on Friday/Saturday.) Cons: - Out of all the other Starbucks I've been to, this one is also the most crowded. Often times I've come here and found only one seat unoccupied. People cycle in and out regularly, but I'm always scared that I'll have to drive somewhere else to find a seat. read more

I love me some Starbucks! Today I had a Venti Soy Mocha Light Frap no whip cream please! YUMMY in my tummy. Tipping has become the norm these days. Why I think I saw a Tip Jar at my dry cleaners too. Anywho, I tend to take tipping seriously. I don't just tip anyone. In fact, I will tip generously when I feel I've had great customer service. But if someone is just ringing up my order and taking my money ... ummm Sorry! No Tip For You! I don't tip at McDonalds when they hand me a cup of coffee ... so why should I tip Starbucks for making me an already overpriced coffee. The last time I tipped over generously at Starbucks was when I ordered a Soy Vanilla Latte over ice $5.05 easily and the girl at the counter suggested I purchase the regular iced coffee over ice with a few shots of vanilla flavoring and top it off with soy milk $1.75! Ugh i'm torn about this Starbucks because I love the location! The line is almost always long. Although the baristas are very attentive and always get my drink right. it's a pretty big location. In the morning it's packed with the business types and the gym buffs after their workout. It's nice for me because it's a short bike ride here and back home. get a workout before my coffee and a nice ride on the way back. This shopping center has great places to eat as well as shop. New management = WINNING!!!!! This location is perfect. The decor is classy and comfortable. The atmosphere is welcoming and cheerful. The vibe is mellow, the music not too loud, the people friendly and quiet and most importantly it's STARBUCKS which means GREAT COFFEE!!!!! My favorite baristas here are also somewhat new to this store. Vanna and Sarah are so nice, funny and fast. They never get my order wrong. Their smiles light up the whole place. I get so happy when either one of them are working. I am even more excited to see them both working at the same time! It's like a JUBILEE! The new manager is pretty awesome too.
