They have great service and a really nice ambiance at this location. This Starbucks is situated in a really small and quaint open mall across of the Marina. Always a crowd here. Line is always very long so prepare for a wait. Occasionally if there's a seat available, I will stay to enjoy my drink and check some emails on my ipad. Fyi, this is not a good place to surf the internet. The internet is very slow. I can't even open a page here. They definitely don't want people staying here to work all day. This is not the cleanest location to go to. There are dogs constantly coming in and out of this place. The bathroom is also pretty bad. Twice I found puddles of water and dirt right under the toilet. Yeah, I know, why even bother writing up Bucks? Well, sometimes it's the little things. I mean, honestly, if it weren't for the constant stream of gift cards that we get from Bucks, I'd be at a more "local" joint for caffeine. But since we eventually travel and are "forced" to use Bucks cards instead of our own money, it's not a bad thing that there are literally Bucks at every corner of the world. This location is nice. Has everything you expect and actually has good seating too. Not like NYC or Seoul where you can't find a seat no matter how long you wait or when you arrive. When did Bucks replace Mickey Dee's as a hang out for kids? I"m just curious because isn't coffee as bad for you when you're a pre-teen as greasy burgers? This is not a review of the coffee itself because it is what it is, but rather the atmosphere. This location is in a nice shopping plaza near Fisherman's Village. There's plenty of free parking and tons of seating where you can study, work on your next screenplay or meet with friends. There's also a lovely outdoor area where you can sit under a string of lights as you enjoy the nice Marina breeze. Baristas are also friendly and somewhat quick for this busy location. read more

This is my neighborhood Starbucks. We all have a tendency to either love/hate them...but for me it's love and here's why: 1) They carry my favorite Vanilla Rooibos tea-- and every time I have gone there, they have NEVER been out of it. ***this is not to say, nor is it intended for anyone, to try to see if they can run them out of their supply... because looky here---I will find you, and take your cup/stash straight out of your hand without any qualms or the least bit of remorse. 2) There is parking (a luxury in my book)... some days easier than others, but an ample amount of space nonetheless, to where one will NOT find themselves circling the grounds for hours upon end. 3) Last, but definitely not least-- the staff here is awwwesome. They have always been more than polite, accommodating, and helpful in suggesting new and unique flavor combinations. Thumbs up! It's newly renovated so it's very nice but sometimes I have to leave and go somewhere else when theres no seats for me to sit and have my coffee. I adore Starbucks....not this one. I walked in with 6 co-workers before a meeting at about 630am on a thursday. The place wasnt busy, but def had some people at the tables and 2 ladies in front of us ordering. Our group was chatting when the woman behind the counter tapped on the glass and ordered us to line up single file along the pastry display and abruptly walked away. What??? I thought it was a joke... nope! She then reprimanded us for ordering our drinks not fast enough and out of order... needless to say this Starbucks isnt on my list of places to visit. What a joke! This *$ is a hit or miss with me. Sometimes I get in and find a great seat and settle in for a long, very long writing sesh. I really like this Starbucks! Great location and usually friendly staff. I am a bit bummed though because this location does not know how to make the Salted Caramel Cold Foam Cold Brew and it's my favorite drink. I just moved close to this location and I have to drive to the one on Bundy to get it how it's supposed to be made. I've ordered it 3 times at this location and all 3 times it was made with almost no foam at all and came out like a cold brew with cream. On the 3rd try I even asked the barista if she could make sure the foam was thick and not mixed in and she kinda rudely said "we can't make it anymore thick it's just how it comes". It's a Starbucks, so you know the coffee is decent, and exactly the same if you got it from another Starbucks. This Starbucks is great for getting a cup, finding a table and working for a while. This was my designated Starbucks for awhile until a negative experience. One busy weekday morning, I ordered a latte and pastry. I stood off to the side waiting for my bagel but never had my name called. I finally asked the cashier if she'd put my order in and she said she'd forgotten, but put the bagel right in the toaster. While she did that I went to wait for my drink, and although it should have been ready by this time there was nothing there. I finally asked the barista if there was a cup with my name on it and the cashier girl hadn't even passed along my order. So I paid $6 for a coffee and breakfast, and this girl at the front hadn't put in the order for either. I'm sorry, but what is your job at Starbucks aside from taking food and drink orders? How she could completely neglect what I ordered is beyond me. After that I started going to the Starbucks on Centinela and Jefferson, which has a much friendlier and more helpful team. Pretty standard, all things considered. Dang near always busy though. Service could be better too, but at least Yuli is always friendly and professional. Bathrooms are clean for a very short period of time - and the locking mechanism is a little weird (there's no "vacant" or "occupied" sign, you just press a button). YES I AM REVIEWING A STARBUCKS. New Starbies in the Marina, in renovated "Waterside" shopping center. Love the shopping center because they have outdoor seating and a cute little fountain to sit around. This Starbies has lots of tables AND even the oft-sought armchairs. Baristas are nice, and good with remembering regulars. They often comment on how my day is, based on whether I want two shots or three. It's busy, but the seating is far enough away from the bar that you won't feel bothered. read more

Nice location I like to stop at when in the area. Located in a small shopping plaza right across the marina. Always long lines all day at this location. Line moves fairly quickly though. Always happy and cheerful staff. Not an place you can hangout at just because all the seats are packed with people studying on their computers. Even the seats in the far back are usually full as well. This plaza in general is full with people. Especially on the weekends. Lots of people enjoying lunch with their kids and dogs. When I walked into Starbucks in the morning, they have lots of parking spaces because it is located in a mall area. The outside area is big and it has lots of tables and chairs. Depending on the time you go, the line can be super long and it does take over 20 mins to get your drinks. Besides from that, the staff is nice and courteous. read more

I only come to this location because it is close to work. The staff for the most part are rude or show little interest in helping you. I have seen them argue with each other, complain about the equipment, or working in general. There is always a line regardless of what time you come. Even if there are several employees in view only 1-2 are clearly doing their part to help with the line. read more

I might be a bit bias about this Starbucks since I work there. But before I did, I'd make my way to this Starbucks in particular. Now with experience I know when theres a crowd, and slow times. It's slowest times are after about 4pm, and throughout the day there's slow moments, but there's random rushes. The team that works (including me) work really quick to get the line flowing, and drinks made to perfection. We focus on speed and quality, so don't be surprised if your drink is made beyond your expectation, right after you pay. read more
