Review #101 - 2016 I've been to this Starbucks on many occasions, but this was the first time that I used the drive-thru. The drive-thru entrance is at the end of the building next to Chipotle since the building houses three different businesses so don't use the exit in front of Starbucks! On one occasion, I actually ran into an acquaintance while I was waiting in line. Weirdly enough, he lives in Martinez, which I didn't know; and sadly enough, I also came to find out from running into him here that his mom had just passed away so we ended up chatting for a while. The customer service here is good and the drinks are pretty made well. My venti iced caramel macchiato was made perfectly, Joshua's trenta iced passion tea was also good, Pete's trenta strawberry acai refresher was very refreshing, but Phil's venti caramel waffle cone frappuccino wasn't very good. It tasted like watered down butterscotch. Although there were quite a few cars ahead of us and we ordered four different drinks, they were able to make our drinks pretty quickly. read more

Finally a coffee spot on this side of MTown, which is sorely lacking in any coffee places whatsoever, unless you're counting 7-11. This latest Starbucks is in a new little strip mall along with a Dollar Tree and a few other shops. There's a drive-thru here, but I'm weary of those as it's my experience they tend to back up with all the fancy schmancy drink orders. And this is a small parking lot so I can't see that going very well. Today around 7a there was about 10-12 cop cars in the lot. I'm hoping they've also put in a police substation at this strip mall, otherwise I'd say our town's entire force was on coffee break at the same time. read more

Tall blonde, with room for cream please... This place is bigger than it looks on the outside. The layout to get in line & order is awkward. They put tables right where the line should be. Once you get your coffee, it seems like a great place to chill with friends. It's alsoquiet enough to get some work done on your own. Friendly staff. Great coffee. I got a coupon for a free one on my first visit. Can't beat that! read more

The absolute slowest Starbucks ever. I have given them 20 to 30 opportunities to change my mind, but every single time I come here I am in the line for over 10 minutes. Sometimes 15. And never offered a free coffee for the longIt seems as though the management of this site is lacking and the employees don't have a sense of urgency at all. I do... I have to get to work! First time my order was wrong. My English breakfast tea latte was just the tea bag even though I paid for the latte. They forgot the cane sugar and the milk. I am grateful they are still here and working but it's nice to get you ordered. Perhaps more quality control is light due to staff shortages. read more

I have been a regular at this Starbucks store for years now. The staff at this location are absolutely the best. They are all high energy and efficient with great personalities. Very personable staff. I can name each and everyone of them without their tags as they keep good control over their store and know their regulars. They always get the drinks right. They take excellent protocols during Covid and keep the store as clean as possible. This store can become hectic but it's never bad but expected of a very popular store that has 20+ cars in a drive thru with people ordering 4 or more drinks at a time. Some of the reviews written that are not a minimum 4 star I can confirm are customers who just feel entitled. read more

This Starbucks is very busy and most use the drive-thru. It's in a small and busy shopping center, with Chipotle right next door. The barista always get my order right, everyone is always friendly. I don't mind the long wait in the drive thru, as I'm in my car and I have the radio and phone to keep my busy. The only thing that makes me nervous is the pedestrian walk path that crosses the drive thru as cars are leaving. There are no mirrors or sensor alarm to alert the drivers of pedestrians. I hate coming here for that reason alone. However, it's so convenient, so I keep coming back and regret it every time I start driving away with a hot coffee in hand. read more

This Starbucks have been one of the worst starbucks that I've been to. I keep giving them a chance because I know they're super busy but the lack of respect for their customer's time & money had made me to write this review. Every single time I went there in the past 2 month, my drink was wrong, tasted bad or just something wrong with it. And when I go back to tell them they don't even care!!! It is hard enough for me to go back and say this was wrong but their attitude and the way they treat me is unacceptable. They treat me like I'm stupid and it's my fault but how is it possible that they make a drink wrong every single time!!!! It is just a shame because I really like the manager since I know her when she was managing another starbucks in Walnut creek and that was a great place. I came here Christmas morning because my family needed their coffee fix and it was packed. It looked like a lot of orders were coming in through the drive thru, mobile order, and in person. Despite what looked like an overwhelming amount of orders and people, all the workers were so friendly and kind. During the wait, I noticed some customers being rude to the workers due to a long wait time (but honestly, it should be expected for Starbucks to be busy especially since there one of the only places open on Christmas). Even with the rude customers, the workers treated every customer with respect, kindness, and that good old Christmas cheer. The workers on Christmas day were rockstars and totally need a raise or something for the craziness they had to work with. They had good vibes and I definitely plan to come back when I come into town! read more

This is now the 2nd time I have ordered a Brown Sugar Oat-milk Shaken Espresso and gotten this after waiting 30 plus mins in the drive thru with a crying baby. This is a shame. Waste of time and money! read more

My wife and I dropped by the drive through on Mothers Day after a Home Depot stop. We ordered a Grande Coffee and a Decaf Latte with one Splenda. I also asked for Splenda and half and half for my coffee. We received two black coffees, neither of which was marked. and the cashier abruptly closed the window. I requested Splenda and cream through the closed window- the cashier gave me Splenda, no cream and stirrer and closed the window again. We drove away, threw out our coffees after they spilled on my wife's lap and burned her hand. We will never go back to this Starbucks again. Peet's rules! read more

I'll go back to four stars. Generally, service is quick and with a smile. Sure, there are off days, but the "bad" baristas aren't there anymore. I think I said this in a previous review, but it bears repeating. I think this location is a training ground for new baristas. There's always turnover and new people coming in. Many times, the drive-thru line is really long. There are many more baristas "reserved" for drive-thru customers, leaving only one person at the cash register and one barista making drinks for customers who go inside. Even so, they're relatively timely. I've never used the drive-thru at this location. read more

I've been to this Starbucks a few times, twice through the drive thru and today went inside the store. Every experience I've had the staff has been very friendly and helpful. As I walked in the store today I was greeted by the nearest barista and each interaction with different employees was warm and not forced. At 8:15am on a Tuesday there was no line inside, I think a lot of people opt for drive thru but it was easy to find parking and walk in and out. The drive thru can take longer but that's with any drive thru. It would be nice if they could keep the boards up to date with the Holiday items, I went at the end of Fall hoping for the toasted graham latte to find they had sold out but had not yet noted it or removed it from the drive thru menu. read more

And a 2 is generous! Ordered 3 drinks and 3 sandwiches. Tried to get peppermint mocha, no peppermint. Asked for a hot apple juice and it was ice cold. Sandwiches were warmed minimally. Just an all around BAD experience. If i could have taken the tip back i would have. I understand running out if things. This starbucks is famous for it though. The ONLY reason i go to ANY Starbucks is for the drive thru! It isn't for the coffee! You don't get a decent cup if coffee in any drive thru. Im really done now. This morning I ordered for the mobile app at 9:50 AM and didn't leave the store till 10:20 AM. Was incredibly rude when I asked about one of my missing drinks the girl with the pink and blonde hair told me we are shortstaffed we are missing five people you need to hold your horses which I thought was a rude, considering 4 mobile orders were taken ahead of mine by the time I got my whole order my food which came out first was ice cold, the coffee with whip cream melted and the ice was melted and the other coffee came out cold when I asked to speak to a manager nobody helped me I would like to speak to a manager and have my total of this morning refunded the store and it's service is absolutely horrible . read more

If you dont mind horrible customer service then this is the place to go. I was in the drive thru lane and decided to go inside instead of wait. In the end the car that was driving through the drive through received their order before me and I was inside. I was not even acknowledged for a few minutes. The five stars are for the employees that work at this location. All beautiful souls who despite the extreme pressure from the company and customers alike try their very best to have a good time at work and not hate their jobs. For the company and how they treat their employees and managers, I give them one star at best. Extremely phisically intensive job, and have been cut hours so that the stores in general are understaffed and over worked. Yeah the benefits and schooling are nice but that honestly just keeps the employees from leaving a company that asks you to do impossible things and pays you next to nothing to do it. For the customers. It is exactly your fault why the company is like this and your sour attitude and lack of understanding of what Starbucks employees have to go through is simply disgusting. How about you research a company and their practices before you decide to choose to support them first. But the majority of you only care about getting your highly customized beverage with a mile long page of additions and substitutions perfectly made and ready not even a minute after you've ordered it. Starbucks customers are some of the most high maintenance people I've ever had the not so pleasure to serve. However for those customers that do take the time to know your barista and tip them every day and are just generally nice and friendly despite the occasional mistake. You all deserve a gold star and reward for being a beautiful human being. Now all of you who complained during the holiday season. You all need a freeking reality check. Because being a dick during the holiday season towards your Barista's that are working their asses off instead of spending time with their friends and family, is frankly a dick move. You are the worst of the worst and a sad excuse for a human being. One last message to the baristas that work here. I hope you've had the happiest of holidays and know that you are loved and cherished by many. Drive thru location , we had some time to kill, so opted to find a seat inside . Overflowing trash can outside the front door should have been a warning . My daughter placed our order while I went to use the restroom , nope!, wet toilet seat and floor littered with toilet seat covers and another trash can over flowing with trash . I washed my hands and tried to stuff the towel into the can but it was packed !! Our order arrived quickly but the only seats available were along the wall opposite the drive thru window where the smell of exhaust was overwhelming. We could leave, but what about employees behind counter.? This is my go to drive thru Starbucks. Now.. I've never had an issue here. Staff has always been cordial and friendly. Service has been pretty good as well. Besides that, what else can be different compared to other starbucks locations? Price doesnt change and cleanliness varies during the busy times... I've had nothing but great service here and even lucked out on late nights when they are open. read more

Drive thru!!! Yes! A really awesome addition to Martinez. The drive thru people are always so cordial and nice. For how nice they are I have had some mishaps. I ordered a sausage egg biscuit and got a egg and bacon on a roll instead. I didn't see it until I was at home. I've also experienced my first cake pop here. Cake pops suck! Sorry it doesn't even resemble cake. The center is like a thick paste. A paste that tastes nothing like birthday cake. My 2 year old didn't want anything to do with it. Their was a customer talking to the cashier lady for well over 10 minutes and then when it was my turn to order, I had to wait 5 minutes. When I've been waiting to order for 10 minutes. I keep forgetting this DRIVE-THRU Starbucks is here.. but finally remembered and went through the drive-thru. I ordered one of my usuals: - Tall Iced Green Tea Latte, SHAKEN and with SOY I pull up and pay with barista #1, and see barista #2 making my drink.. with MILK. And not only that, but just SWIRLS the cup in her hand a few times instead of shaking it =[ So, as Barista #2 hands it to me, I ask if she made it with SOY.. and she hesitates and then goes, "oh yeah, let me make another one." And again, SWIRLS this new one by hand (which does not mix the green tea powder in at all!) Mind you, this location was not even busy.. the baristas were just too busy gossiping with each other. This place is hit or miss and needs a survival guide so here it is... Use the drive thru at your own risk! You'll have much better results in both drink accuracy and service inside. If you decide to throw caution to the wind and use the drive thru, make them repeat the drink back to you. This is key to not being pissed you got the wrong drink because they're either not paying attention the first time or their headsets aren't good. Be prepared to be patient and repeat yourself. If you're not prepared to be that kind of patient, just go inside. It'll be a much better experience for you. You'll likely get your drink more quickly by going inside. Yes it seems counterintuitive but the drive through ALWAYS has a line at seemingly all times of day (except Sunday mornings at 5:45 but who besides me is up then?) read more

There is generally a long line, both for the drive thru and inside. However, from my experience, both lines move quickly. The baristas, who make me a grande americano with a pump of sugar-free hazelnut, are always nice. read more
