I've given this Starbucks MULTIPLE tries over the past few years. I only come here when I'm at Fashion Island. There have been MULTIPLE times where they have not added the sweetener to my drink, as I have ordered. I was just there a few days ago and they gave me a drink that I did not even order! The place was so busy, I couldn't even ask for the drink to be corrected. It took over 10 minutes to get a very simple drink and a pastry that was already pre-made. All they had to do was put the pastry in a bag and hand it over, but it took over 10 minutes. On top of the poor service with orders and their food, I consistently feel extremely uncomfortable at this location. The clientele of this location is just odd. I've had other customers just constantly staring at me while I eat, which is very unnerving (this has happened multiple times). I also don't appreciate people bringing in dogs that are not service animals. I've seen pet dogs sniffing the drink pick up counter and the station where the trash and napkins are located. The restrooms are also not very clean. I get my order and leave ASAP. I'll wander through Fashion Island and find another seating area where I can enjoy my drink and/or food elsewhere. read more

This is my new go-to Starbucks whenever I go to Fashion Island. I got a grande dragon drink and it was really good. I loved how they added little bits of dragon fruit in and how the drink was not too sweet. It tastes exactly how a dragon fruit would and was very tasty on a hot day. I also got the double smoked bacon cheddar and egg sandwich, which was surprising filling for me along with the drink for lunch. It was warm, right out of the oven. I loved the crispiness of the bacon and how cheesy it was. I loved how the egg wasn't too spongy at all! The staff were nice and were quick with getting our drinks ready. It's a bit noisy for a place to study at, but if you go at the right time, it's actually a very well lit and decorated place that's not too distracting. Overall, the sandwich and dragon drink were delectable, and this Starbucks was actually pretty good. Looking forward to coming again! read more

I come to this Starbucks frequently and am always blown away by the employees level of service! This is an extremely high volume store, yet every barista provides a personalized touch and expresses genuine kindness to each patron. Better yet, each beverage served my exceeds expectations for what you expect to receive from a crowded mall Starbucks store! Tonight I had a particularly pleasant experience from a barista named Benton. He mentioned that he doesn't normally work at this location, but went above & beyond to give me a wonderful experience. I like the location and the people watching here. Plenty of outdoor seating and a decent amount of indoor seating as well. They have 2 restrooms, which is nice, plus the nearby outdoor restroom by Hop Daddy. The orders come up pretty quickly, which is good. The only issue is the extremely cold air conditioning which is like to drive out guests from sitting here for too long. read more

Be careful at this Starbucks. I went around 11:30am today and ordered a grande black iced tea with one packet of stevia -- it should've been $3.95. Instead, I was charged $8.95. This was one of the worst Starbucks experiences I have ever had. I will never come here again. I did a mobile order and in the past, it is usually ready by the time I get there. Today it was not ready and not even close to being ready even though my name was under the ready column on the Mobile pick up board. Other customers were in the same situation and some also had issues with their orders. The ambience was unwelcoming. No one greeted or said hello. There were four employees and only one girl was making most of the drinks there was another gentleman making drinks but randomly. I don't know what kind of system they had, but it was unorganized insufficient, and slow. The girl making the drinks finally asked me what I was waiting on and I told her and she's like, "oh I'm making it right now." She made a couple more drinks before mine. She did not read my drink order because I ordered it to be warm and it was scolding hot. There was no sleeve on it. I burned my hand. I was going to just reach out to the manager at this store directly, however, there's no link to contact the store. I would like to hear from the store manager to share more about this horrible experience. Completely unacceptable. This location was not busy at all, so this lack of service makes no sense. In addition I always tip on my drinks before hand (big mistake today) and I wish I could take my tip back because apparently my tip provided me to wait longer and have my order made wrong and to get my hand burned. I usually get a thank you, a friendly drawing or note on my cup but not today. I know I am not the only customer who had this experience today so either get it together or you're going to lose a lot of customers. Fashion Island has A LOT BETTER COFFEE designations than yours... like Nordstrom Ebar, Scratch Bakery & Cafe, Joe & The Juice and now Ralph's Coffee. You have incredible competition! read more

I don't usually come out to Fashion Island these days, but I have been coming here during the OC Marathon. Thankfully, they're one of the few locations that open super early at 4:30 am on Sundays! Per the usual, I will order my drink on the mobile app before going inside to wait for my drink. Inside is pretty spacious and kept clean, including the restroom. My drinks here have been on par with what I'm used to getting at any Starbucks that I've visited. read more

Stopped by this SB location a couple of times. They have a lot of seating and drinks are prepared pretty quickly. Recently picked up a venti matcha frappuccino for $3 Tuesday through mobile order. I go into this location in fashion Island. I was in there Friday, September 19 at around 8:30 in the morning. And walk a woman with her dog and her doggy bag full of dog crap. She walks in the restaurant goes up to the counter where there's food and coffee with the bag, banging against the side of the counter with dog crap in it. This was absolutely disgusting, and none of the baristas said a word to her. There are health laws against things like this, and the fact that nobody at the location said a word to this woman is also just as disgusting. I am a frequent flyer at Starbucks and spent $100 a month there and I don't go there to have somebody with dog crap walking in and banging it against the counter near where my food is coming out. read more

I have been coming here for years as I'm a local and can walk my dog over here. I usually order my coffee online on my way there so that it's ready to pick up when I arrive. I also would ask for some water for my dog as I pick up my coffee. I've done this for years. But today that became a problem for them! Why??? When I asked for water for my dog, I was told that I have to go in line to order it! That is simply absurd and illogical. What is the point of ordering online ahead of time if I have to get in line for water for my dog? Here's my suggestions to management: if you don't want to be bothered with the water, how about providing a self serve to water, or... give customers an option for water online. But telling people who ordered online ahead to go stand in line defeats the purpose of ready pickup on online orders. Think about it!Really poorly done, Starbucks at Fashion Island!!! read more

Ordered an oat milk cortado for the road. Come to see the oat milk I paid for was no where to be found. I got two shot maybe of espresso and a crap ton of sugar. I hope the District Manager is reading this post. On many occasions the bathroom is so filthy you wonder if it ever gets cleaned. I've mentioned this to the employees as a curtesy to its patrons. I don't think they care. They just look at me like and what do you want me to do about it? There has been fecal matter on the floor, walls and surrounding toilet of the women's bathroom. How does that happen? This location can do better so please do better. read more

I am really disappointed. Where to start? My special needs brother loves his frappuccino's. It's a treat when we get it for him. He can't have caffeine or an excess amount of dairy. We ordered his usual and at every other starbucks it comes out accurate today we came and despite always ordering double blended it came out like a rock. She also didn't put whipped cream on - Having special needs he felt frustrated that he couldn't enjoy his treat and threw it away and had a very upset episode running into the parking garage wanting to go home immediately. I've also been ordering honey citrus mint tea aka the medicine ball wherever i go trying to help with a sore throat i'm recovering from. everywhere else makes it accurate. as an ex partner i know what goes into it honey, the tea the steamed lemonade. while my name was called and i was waiting for the drink to be made i saw the same lady who made my brothers frapp - bigger, curly hair wore orange, put classic syrup into my tea instead of honey (which is actually damaging to what i want to drink my tea for. artificial sugar is different than a natural sweetener esp on a throat) and barely steamed the lemonade for 1-2 seconds - i drank it and sure enough the honey is missing . the gentlemen at the bar doing pastries was helpful of the whipped cream and getting it on but by the time we realized how hard his drink was it was too late. it seems that most are great with an exception of a few of the partners. my note to the partners is this - it may be a bad day, the pay may not be the most ideal - but the temptation or urge to cut corners or be lazy when drinks are calling for certain things end up leading to bigger issues that you may not even realize. that being said - this is people's hard earned money being spent on these drinks. and 2) when those things are being followed - that's what makes it an enjoyable experience. read more
