If you have been to Starbucks, which pretty much everyone has, you know what to expect. What sets this Starbucks out from others is the service. Michelle in particular. She reminds me of the baristas at Dutch Bros! She is always friendly, chipper, helpful and she makes a great coffee! I come in here every Thursday before my evening class at the McClellan satellite campus. Michelle always greets me with a smile. She tends to make everyone that works in this Starbucks friendlier. She also makes some of the best lattes I have had at Starbucks. A lot of times people just pour some milk into the coffee, she actually takes some time to add the froth, which is what makes for a good latte. As the semester is coming to an end, I must admit, I will miss my Thursday evening ritual of stopping in for a cup of joe! read more

As I drove up to the drive thru kiosk, I was greeted by a familiar voice. I proceeded to place an order for my coworker, but immediately after, the voice says: so you stopped coming and now you order a completely different drink? What happened to your grande iced coffee in a venti cup with extra ice, 5 pumps classic and breve?!?!? WHAT?!?!? You guys remember my order??? Of course I wanted my coffee as well....and after 2 months, it was EXACTLY the same as before!!!! Yummmmm........ I have not been to this Starbucks in over 2 months because I moved and started taking a different route to work. Going to this Starbucks in the morning would mean having to wait at a busy stop light to make a U turn to drive into their parking lot. But you know what? It is soooooo worth it!!!!! I'm so sad because this place has no comfy, cushy seating, only hard chairs, haha. Still, the crew here is happy and fun. They're fairly courageous too. They're right near the Watt/I-80 light rail station and they get some loiterers and folks who go from guest to guest asking for money. The staff here handles that quickly so that guests are not excessively disturbed, and I appreciate that since I'm typically there to get work done. Yay! for a clean bathroom. Wifi is always good. Parking is good. And there are some good food options in the same complex, if you're up for something other than typical Starbucks fare. Best of all, if you need to visit the IRS, you can walk to their offices in under two minutes! Yeah, a real perk. read more

I am seeing all these positive reviews for this Starbucks and I can honestly say I have never had a good experience here. This location is the worst. The customer service is good, but they mess my drinks up horribly EVERY time. I just now went in and ordered a venti cafe vanilla frappé with extra vanilla...why did I receive a hot venti cup of milk and vanilla? That's not even remotely close. Last time I was here I got an iced coffee and I received a burnt Americano. The lines are always ridiculous, prepare to wait 15 minutes or more. I have been going to this same Starbucks since 2008. It is not near my place. I drive 4 miles both ways, hoping for a different outcome. Same girl gives me attitude in the drive thru. I was thrilled when a new Starbucks opened on the corner of Elkhorn Blvd and Watt (in front of the Walgreens). So today, I decided to walk in and say hello and order my usual. I was disappointed. I'll set the stage: one car in the drive-through. Everyone sitting inside had their drinks. One lady and her 2 kids in front of me. One lady at the cash register. Approximately 6 other employees. Only the barista and someone in a different colored apron (the manager?) were doing anything (the "manager" was going over something on a clipboard with another employee. They were facing me. They saw me. They ignored me. The drive-through guy was just standing there, waiting on the barista. Two other people were just standing there. A woman just came in and presumably clocked in on the other cash register. People looked at me but made no motion to help me. The girl at the cash register is just chatting away with the customer in front of me. The customer was still trying to figure out what her kids wanted. The lady who had just clocked in came around front and hugged the customer and chatted for just a moment. Apparently my time is not important, nor is good customer service. I was fuming inside and lost my patience. I can't believe with 6-7 people at work, no one felt it was necessary to open up the 2nd cash register and take my drink order. I walked out. I am so disappointed. Will I try again? yes, probably. But if I have a similarly bad experience, I will make a point to speak to the manager. They won't last long with that kind of customer service. But then again, it's Starbucks. They'll survive even with crappy service cuz we love our drinks. read more

I came through this drive-through yesterday and the guy in the speaker was so rude and had attitude. I figured he was just having a bad day so I just let it go. As I got closer I was right behind the woman at the window. I was waiting for 12 minutes! The barista was leaning out the drive through window and talking to the lady at the window while in her car. I could see in my mirror the man behind me was getting ticked off also. Anyways after the 12 mins to make her three drinks, I pulled up to the window and I got no apology for the wait, no greeting or anything but attitude. I asked what his name was so I could complain. Worst experience today. I always go to this starbucks on my way to work. Today will my last there. There was only one other person waiting for their item and no one in line when we entered so we ordered right away. My husband and I ordered a regular coffee and a chai latte at 8:20am. Got the coffee right away of course do justing wsiting on the chai. 8:30am rolls around, my husband asks the batista if his drink is done. By this time, at least 5 drinks had been done for the drive thru orders. Barista: "Oh, the printer ran out of stickers. Your order didn't print. It's coming." I go to the bathroom. I come back and a huge line has formed. At least 10 people in line ordering and 3 waiting for drinks. I see my husband. Still no drink. Several people starting getting their orders, blended drinks, bagels and such. Still, no chai. Other baristas inquiring to newly entered customers what they had, while my husband was totally ignored. Went to the barista again and told him it's been 15 minutes, and still no drink. Please keep in mind that there were 6-8 workers there. He mumbled about the sticker again. Still no drink. Every single person who's come in after us got their order. I finally asked for a manager. The girl who helped me probably wasn't and but I explained to her that we've been waiting for 20 minutes. She said she was sorry and blamed it on the sticker thing again. I told her I understand that for the first 5 minutes but when 20 minutes go by, that is not ok. I further pointed out that the baristas inquired to every single customer standing there about their drinks but not ours. She said sorry in a very terse manner, and insincere way and gave me a $4.00 gift card. WOW! That makes it better! Not! Absolutely love this Starbucks. I work at 5 in the morning so I love that this one is open at 4:30. The fact that the girls in the morning are fantastic just tops it all off. Danielle is one of the sweetest baristas in town. Regardless, they aren't that speedy but neither am i that early in the morning. They aren't snails either. No complaints from me! I'm not the biggest Starbucks fan, but this location is a hidden gem. At the end of a "mini mart" after Jamba Juice, Panda Express, and Pizza Hut on the corner of Watt Ave. Free wi-fi... and it's a chain coffee shop! I think this is the first time I've ever been to a Starbucks that has free wifi! Stoked! I really needed a coffee fix so I ordered a Tall Skinny Vanilla Latte. I don't know if all Starbucks is doing this but the calories were attached to every drink and food item. It definitely helped me make a healthy coffee choice! read more

This is my 3rd visit here, first time my coffee was messed up but was corrected easily at the drive thru window (easy catch), second time no issues. But this morning I order a Venti white mocha with SF peppermint in drive through, noticed my cup didn't fill very full, but being rushed I drove home, opened the lid, and it looks like it was a grande coffee in a Venti cup. Barely an coffee or whipped cream, maybe a little more than half full. So disappointed. :( And no time to return back. read more

As Starbucks go, it's A-OK. For a shop out in the middle of nowhere, they do a good job of making you feel as if you're sitting in Manhattan. Really, if they closed the blinds at Starbucks, would you even know what city you are in? Service was great. Drink tasted exactly the same as every other Starbucks. Staff is always friendly. They have a lot of seating inside the shop as well as outside patio seating. I order a Pike place grande coffee most days but they do have plenty of blended coffees to chose from. I just like plain coffee in the morning. Their bacon egg bites are very good as well. This is one of my absolute favorite Starbucks to stop at when I'm visiting the Sacramento area due only to how kind and sincere the staff is! Just spent 13 minutes in the drive thru waiting, because evidently an espresso machine was broken. The staff could have put a sign a sign up near the entrance of the drive thru notifying people or could have asked the cars to pull through to the parking lot while waiting for their drinks. I'm sure not everyone needed a espresso drink and could have been facilitated faster. Boo to the shift lead on duty for not thinking of the customer first. Isn't that what drive thrus' are for? We go to Starbucks a lot and this one is HORRIBLE!! We order two of the exact drink and both tasted totally different. It is obvious the person did not know what they were doing. Now that's not the worst of it. Counters were all messy with spills everywhere no one cleaning up after themselves. So drinks were being made On messy counters with clean cups. Then a trip to the bathroom was disgusting. The sink looked like it had never been cleaned. The toilet was nasty too. I took photos so I could post them but I'm thinking that instead of me posting them maybe the manager will see the problems with this place and fix it. Anyhow won't ever return. read more
