As a partner, I'm pretty understanding with most thing at other locations, as I put myself in their shoes, especially given everything going on with COVID changes, but today was ridiculous. My partner and I, who is also a Starbucks partner, pull into the drive thru, hoping to get our weekly bean mark outs and some goodies, and sit there for about 20 minutes until we're two cars away from the order screen. A barista comes out at 2 pm, when the website and the app both state 8 pm, and starts ushering people away starting with the car in front of me. Once he comes to my car, he just comes to my car and says that they're closed and walks away, not giving me a chance to ask any questions. Given that our stores are closed, this is the closest store to home where we can get any of our mark outs. They absolutely need to figure out a different way to close down for the drive thru for the night so people don't get stuck waiting 20+ minutes, only to be turned away. read more

This Starbucks sucks. They got my drink order wrong. It was just a cold brew with white mocha when I ordered inside the store and repeated myself 3 times. Didn't give me a personal cup discount. Then forgot to use my personal cup even though I handed it to the cashier. So I transferred my drink to my cup and the lady got an attitude asking if I dumped the drink. read more

Still as bad as I remembered. Husband ordered an extra hot flat white. Got it after waiting forever, the drink tastes like chemicals! Told the barista, he said something like "oh when it's made extra hot the plastic from the lid melts..." which is utter bs. We have gotten plenty of extra hot drinks they don't taste like straight up chemicals. My guess is the metal steamed milk pitched had some reminisce of a type of sanitizer in it and they used it. If you didn't already know, Patterson is a small city you may come across when you're on the way to Los Angeles. Right when you get off Sperry, you'll make a left and you'll drive into a small variety of food chains, gas stations, and of course.. Your Starbucks. I come to Patterson when I visit my little sister and cousins. I know the area, but I've only been to this Starbucks maybe once or twice. It was usually drive-thru though. Now I'm giving this place 5/5 stars because of the man who took my order. He was just so friendly and keeping a great conversation up which I thought was cool. I had to run to my car and get my Starbucks card- He didn't seem annoyed at all. Not that he should've been since there was only like one other person in the store. Anyways, I ordered three drinks, all with special instructions, and the barista made them exactly how I wanted. The best part was that my orders were ready in less than 10 minutes. Now THAT'S what I love! Starbucks usually has the best staff and I will definitely be back to this Starbucks when I'm in Patterson again! read more

Yes, I do "have a life..." 'lotta other things to do than write Yelp...so factor that in as you see all this writing. I'm VERY sincere, VERY positive...and very experienced with LOTS of Starbucks (because I tool about the USA on a beloved BMW motorrad, putting into SB's "port" for WiFi as well as caffeine replenishment.) This Patterson stop in Patterson on I-5 was one of the best out of 100s of good SB stops I've made (BUT BEWARE of signs; LOOK FOR THE BIG SIGN, NOT THE little blue interstate (?) signs). This was Sunday morning, June 3rd. It was as if they were shooting a commercial there--colorfully equipped bike race folks assembling, with that erudite chatter of which they're wont, outside. This is written targeted to the workers and management--you do a WONderful job, more important than you might think--not only for me but especially others. (Explanation: on my trip I was hiking & biking, --a pleasure/fitness trip...but...) There are those on the road transiting to funerals, to relationship breakups, from hospital visits...who, needing a break, turn to Starbucks' famously consistent quality. And, in those cases, a rest stop, in that time of life, is almost life-changing-good & healing when one can find, at the Patterson Starbucks: Quality. Reasonable peace, quiet. Consistently the best mass-produced coffee in the USA. Fresh food of high quality (yes, the $6 sandwiches are worth the price but those breakfast $3 things are a bargain.) Management & staff: give yourself credit. And thank you for being there. (Again...I was not in a despondent "needy" way but it occurred to me what a hell of a service you provide for ALL of us--from us happy travelers to those needful of respite.) You are the best. The lovely, some would say, bubbly young lady (headphones on, circa 9 a.m. Sunday, in charge of driveup service concurrently while at counter) could not have been better...nor busier BUT not better too. Perfect. One of the top 2 or 3 of 100s of Starbucks that this gold card-er has used across many states. PS...the ONLY suggestion is nothing negative to you--those little blue signs on the I 5 that list several "restaurants / lodging..." things with brand name icons? There is none listing "Starbucks"...travelers could have driven past your exit...which I would have done IF I had not seen the Starbucks sign up high, on the largest, tall sign. As a former employee of Starbucks I am fully aware of what is and isn't Starbucks quality and policy. I've been to this particular location 3 times and it's been an off experience each time. Starbucks is a great GREAT company and desperately needs to look into this location. They are not upholding the standards at all, I understand this is a busy location. When you have 6 people working and NO one has spun to clean the lobby and everyone is standing around chatting while 10 people eagerly await their drinks there's a problem. Lobby is always sticky and debris under chairs and on floor. They all seem to get fussy when you ask for things like straws and drink carriers like it's not part if their job to do so. I even witnesses a costumer get yelled at after he asked twice for a milk carafe at the condiment bar. Not at all providing a 3rd place type of environment. Needs better management ASAP ! read more

Let me just say that I've had some bad experiences coming to this Starbucks. I thought it may have been that way because of how busy it gets, but today really disappointed me as a costumer. One of the first issues was when I went through the drive thru to get a custom drink. The person who was taking my order said I should maybe put less pumps of cinnamon dolce which I was like, "No, it's my custom drink and if I want to go ahead and add pumps then let me be". But of course I did not say that, instead I let him do his job and trusted it would taste good which was a mistake. Another issue has been with the way they have been making the frappuccinos lately. The frappuccinos have had a really strong coffee taste which I dislike. I'm a strong believer that if I don't like it then I will go back and ask politely if they can fix it. I ordered a white mocha frappuccino with java chips through the drive thru. After I paid they left the window open and as I was watching the lady with black glasses pour java chips from the bag(i was thinking... shouldn't it be in a container with a scoop and not directly of of the bag it came in ?) into the pitcher and I heard her say "oh shit that's alot of java chips!" Really? Cursing in front of customers and the windows open. She didn't even fix it. I swear it looked like she poured over a cup in there. Then to top it off..they served me my drink and it was dripping from the sides and top. So messy. I tried to drink some of it so it wouldnt spill all over my car. It dripped everywhere my all over my car, cup holder and my white shirt. Everytime I come here something bad happens. I'd rather drive further then get bad service. read more

I went last week and ordered an iced coffee with classic syrup and milk. They forgot the syrup so the coffee wasn't sweet but kinda nasty. I called and was told very nicely by the manager to come in and get it replaced along with a comp drink coupon. I went today and to my dismay they did it again. I don't know if there's new employees or what but come on seriously it's not that hard, it's an iced coffee, nothing extravagant. This location seems to mess up my drinks quite consistently. Im sad to say that in the 4 years I have lived in Patterson, this store has continued to decline. No matter what day of the week or the time of day, the service is soooo SLOW! It used to be that if the drive-thru was busy I could go inside and be in and out, but not anymore. Unless I have at least 15 minutes of "wiggle room", I dont stop there. On top of that, it is becoming more and more common for me to get the wrong drink handed to me. I dont drink coffee so imagine my disappointment when I leave the drive-thru and discover that Ive been given some sort of coffee drink instead of my requested Chai Latte (yes, this happened this morning!). What a waste of 15 minutes and $4!! I could turn around and go back for a replacement, but that means waiting another 15 minutes. Cant do it! read more

It sucks that this is a VERY convenient location and the closest one to me...So I have no choice to stop here most of the time, Pretty much EVERY time I stop here they mess something up. And when you try to tell them they are rude and act as if they are inconvenienced. Especially since the remodel...the new staff is CRAP! Once I went through the drive thru on my commute to Tracy and was pressed on time so I grabbed my drink and ran. Once back on the freeway I realized it was totally messed up. So I called to complain. They told me that my drink would be comped on my next visit. Next time I went in for my free drink they messed that one up too...I couldn't believe it. They did give me like 3 free drink cards, but still! If you're that high traffic of a location shouldn't you have it together? Today I went in and overheard a customer correct their order in a very pleasant and kind tone...the Batista was completely rude told her well I'll just dump it out then I guess and looked over to another barista and said I just got here and I'm already done with this day! Right in front of the customer! I was shocked! I have worked retail management and that is just completely unprofessional especially when the customer was totally polite and didn't even give her a hard time at all! Starbucks coffee is always good. Being located right off the freeway, this store should expect to be serving travelers. We arrived at 9:45 pm on Nov 20, 15 minutes before closing, for a cup of coffee and really wanted the gingerbread that was sitting in the display case. First the girl said, "We don't have any." We pointed out that she does have some in the display. "I can't serve it to you because it's only for display." We questioned that response too. So she said, "I can't give you that. It's for tomorrow." She was adamant about NOT serving us anything but coffee. Not my usual Starbucks experience. Next time I'm traveling that way I will plan my coffee stop before Patterson. read more

Worse Starbucks, as far as the time it takes to get your order, I've ever been to. Literally 20-30 minutes if there are 3 or more cars in the drive through. I live in Patterson and have been here hundreds of times. Because of the lengthy wait, there are cars blocking the driveway and parking lot all day so even if you decide to roll the dice and go inside (not any faster), you can't park because vehicles in line block the parking spaces. Has been this way for years and has never improved. All Starbucks are busy, especially ones off of the freeway, but this one is ridiculous. At least the employees are nice even though they will not look at you or ask if you need help if you go to the pick up counter for any reason besides picking up your drink. read more

The worst Starbucks I've been to in terms of service. I ordered an ICED WATER and was in this Starbucks for 20 minutes, and asked where it was and got a snarky comment from one of the baristas. While people who were in line behind me were getting fraps and lattes made, an iced water couldn't be produced. My sister ate an entire meal that she ordered from the A&W across the street and pooped while I was waiting for an iced water. The worst Starbucks hands down. read more

On a long drive to LA these guys were just what i needed.

When traveling on extended road trips we stop two or three times a day. Normally this is a reliable product with good service. Not so this time. The person who took the order screwed it up so the ice tea was Unrecognizable and unsweetened. The promoted pumpkin pastries were mostly gone as was most other pastry and this was at 9:15 a.m. Staff didn't know the inventory which required three reviews of case.They didn't have equal at the window which explained absence of sweetener. This is my local Starbucks and even tho the lines are long and service is slow, I still have the patience to go everyday to get my drink before work and in the evenings. If you mess up on my order, yes I will call and let you know. Yes I will come back for my FREE drinks that is promised to me due to a barista error because its EXPENSIVE and if im gonna pay $4 to $5 for coffee, I EXPECT TO GET WHAT I ORDERED...not someone else's drink or the WRONG drink!. Well it's obvious, that managers like Nick have a problem honoring Free Drinks for their error. I believe in having great customer service. MY family and I are all in the hospitality/tourism/travel industry. We know how important it is to have satisfied customers ESPECIALLY when the error is not the customers fault. Unfortunately, I will not put up with a cocky, untrained starbucks manager who has no customer service training and who acts as if Im bothering him and rolling his eyes. My family and I can take our business elsewhere. I dont need to feel like my drink is going to be tampered with everytime they see me. i ordered the new serious strawberry drink and it is a revamped version of the strawberries and creme. the worker was sort of slow and rude when i asked for a strawberry creme he corrected me to serious strawberry and i said "do the strawberries and creme" and he was like yeah the serious strawberry and it came with these candied sweet strawberries and my drink was melted when i got it. read more

This Starbucks store is not very clean inside or outside, windows have not been washed in days. The building is just to small to handle the amount people it brings in. It's not as comfortable to sit in at all. On the positive side the employees are wonderful they are extremely helpful and attentive to you. read more

Pulled up to the drive thru speaker where I waited an ungodly amount of time to only be greeted by a rude barista! Not only did I feel like an inconvenience to him but after my drink was ordered I waited for another 6-10 minutes until I pulled up to the window where not only was I not greeted, but my drink was made incorrectly. Such poor customer service from the young male wearing a black apron, I believe his name was victor. I understand it was busy because of St. Paddys day but I've never felt so irrelevant in my life. For being a company that is so customer oriented, you'd think they'd spend a little more time on teaching the workers proper etiquette. Oh and here's the zinger, when I asked to speak to the manager this guy replied with he was the manager. whomever decided on this executive decision must not actually see this guy work. BEST STARBUCKS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO AND SEEN!!!! I'm a regular every day and I always get a greeting and I just sit with my drink for a while. The reason that I like the workers is because they tolerate every complaint. I've seen it all. I sit there and watch as people complain. Ladies and gentleman, if they make your drink wrong, relax. Tell them nicely because it's JUST a cup of coffee. It's not gonna affect you in 10 years. Or same for teas and whatnot. I've seen the reviews too! "This Starbucks is too slow" "It's so messy". Well... Maybe you should consider that this location is right off the freeway if you didn't notice? It's ridiculous what people complain about.
