Every have one of these mornings when you need a second breakfast? Yup, Happened to me recently. Had an early start at work, so I stopped and ate with Jack (the one in a box) at 6 am and my tapeworm was screaming feed me at 9:30. It was also crying for some coffee and since I had recently received a nice gift card to Starbucks, I pointed the Truckia (my Kia Soul) to the nearest Starbucks. Now despite conventional wisdom that there is a Starbucks on every corner in America-I'm going top smash that connotation right here and now. This Starbucks across from Desert Ridge is the only Starbucks within 100 miles of another coffee shop, let alone another Starbucks. It has to be based on the line of cars in the drive through at 9:30 am and the number of caffeine-deprived coffee seekers and computer toting intellectuals inside. Mixed it up this morning and went with a Blonde (they're more fun) cappuccino. Had a ton of foam on it (there's a visual). Excellent cup of coffee! Like I said, I was hungry and Starbucks, if you can resist the valley of sugar in the display case has a good selection of breakfast sandwiches. I had the biscuit with sausage, bacon, egg. It was terrific! It held me over until Timmy the Tapeworm started crying again around 1 PM. This really is a smoking busy Starbucks but the service and attitude of the employees was chill and welcoming. Food and drink was as expected. Would love to see another one, even next door but that's above my pay grade. Go grab a blonde and a biscuit, they're perfect for a mid-morning snack. read more

This Starbucks is a hit or miss. The drive through can be terrible. I have waited 10-20 mins in the drive through with only 3 cars in front of me before. Also the barista that hands you the drinks don't lean out to hand you your item. I always have to reach out pretty far and I'm a pretty petite girl. I've tried driving closer to the curb but end up scratching my rims. If you are the 3rd person in line, expect it to be a minimum 10 - 15 min wait. read more

I have one word to describe this location, slow!!! Beyond slow. The drive through is a mess and the scanners for the app hardly work. I've waited over 30 minutes for a drink and finally had to leave with no drink or refund. There are people waiting everywhere and there is no room to move. This location is ALWAYS slow. Hire more people. There is no excuse, this has been going on for years at this location. If you are totally backed up you in the store, take more time for mobile orders, stop taking counter orders and have that person work the bar. Call in more staff, make solutions not excuses like the barista was doing. Also a refund would be nice since I never got my drink. read more

I live right next to this Starbucks so I visit it pretty frequently. However, last night, I went through the drive thru at around 7:30 PM. No one was in line except me, and I got my order taken very promptly. One thing that bothers me about Starbucks is that the baristas never take 3 seconds to repeat your order to make sure they have it right. So when I ordered my iced drink, I pulled up to the window and waited about 5 min before the barista came and told me their machine broke so it would be out soon. I waited patiently and I understand that things happen. A few min later, my drink was out and it was hot. So I told her I ordered iced, and she went to remake it. A few min later, she came back with the right drink, but the wrong size. So I told her I paid for the bigger size and she went to remake it. I was in the drive thru for about 15 minutes for one drink. And I was the only one in line. I understand a machine broke, but remaking my drink more than once is a little too much waiting in my opinion. Repeating my order the first time around would've had my drink made right the first time. read more

Not a fan of the entrance/exit and seating area. It's a very small location, maybe about 10 tables. I never used the drive thru so not sure if they provide fast service through there. But inside, we are greeted with a smile and have our drinks ready in a timely manner. read more

Well Starbucks is Starbucks : you like it or not. I like their breakfast sandwiches and the coffee is ok (I always thought it tasted a bit "burned", for lack of better word). This location can get busy in the morning as there are not a lot of coffee shops around that area, including other Starbucks). Sometimes it feels they could improve efficiency though. read more

I used to love Starbucks, and visit this one almost every morning on my way to work. However, with a recent health concern I've had to go gluten free, which has been hard at times, but when establishments offer a gluten free allergen list online (as starbucks does) I feel excited to see what I can still have :) Unfortunately, as I walked into this Starbucks I was saddened with the fact that apparently NOTHING is gluten free. I asked the kind lady at the register if she was sure and she said her supervisor was certain, and I asked her if she could ask again, possibly if I could have a tea. Again, she came back saying he said nothing to his knowledge is gluten free. I'm not sure if this is true for every Starbucks or due to the lack of knowledge from the supervisor. Leaving starbucks feeling taken off guard, and SO happy I didn't go through the long drive-thru just to be turned away. read more

I do not recommend at all to come to this Starbucks. Their drink is horrible and when you ask to remake the drink they give so much attitude back. The interior is nice but the customer service is horrible and make tasteless drinks. Also it's pretty clean but again if you want a good Starbucks drink it is not good at all. read more

So i always go to this starbucks because it was near my work. Baristas were friendly and in the beginning of me going here it was fine. As time is passing by my items were just not going well. I would uber eats a drink for a co worker and i and when we got out drinks it was missing things like caramel drizzle and things like that and i was like oh well its fine i used to work at dunkin so i get they make mistakes. Second thing that happened (multiple times) is when i would scan my gift card thingy on the app with money in it so i can get double the points, they used my points and left the money. Okay i didnt rlly understand how they mistakenly used my points instead of the money !multiple times! even when i say "hey pls use the money". Was kind of getting agitated by this starbucks. The most recent one is when i used uber eats and they didnt put the lid and the sticker on properly. The uber driver said the lid was not put on properly and a lil less than a half was spilled. When i got the drink out the bag the lid wasnt on. The bag was dripping and i could barely taste any esspresso in the drink. It was just milk, white Mocha, and caramel drizzle. I wish they would pay more attention to what theyre doing rather than just put it in and go without paying too much attention to the drinks that they make. read more

Meh, I've experienced much better... We used to frequent this Star Bucks a lot until Press Coffee opened near by. We wanted to top off a great evening with a nice cup of Joe and Press Coffee was closed at 7pm and it was 7:30pm, oh no.... so we stopped by Star Bucks. The service started off as a standard Star Bucks, quick to greet, though missing the smile this time, and ready to make what ever caffeinated concoction your craving for. Coffee #1 ~ decaf and sugar free vanilla syrup. Barista stated, "we are out to decaf, would regular coffee be ok?" What?? No, we would like a decaf please. Barista, "that will take 10 mins, so you will need to wait". We asked, why are you out of decaf? Barista, "we stop making decaf earlier in the day". We did not want to wait so we opted for a leaded brew. Coffee #2 ~ regular coffee with sugar free caramel. I watched the Barista and noticed she used the white pump for the sugar free vanilla and the brown pump for the sugar free caramel. Star Bucks used one collar for sugar free and the other for sugared syrups. As she poured our coffee I asked her to please make sure she gave us sugar free and not sugar. I noticed you used both colored pumps. Barista, snippy ~ "we don't separate our flavorings like the other Star Bucks". She then dumped our coffee's out and using the same cups proceeded to use the same pumps again... So we got both coffee's and proceeded to the cream bar and there was no cream... So I asked a different barista for some cream. She stated, "here ya go" and placed a gallon carton of cream on the bar and walked off. Wowsers! The coffee tasted burned as though it had been sitting there a while and we were for sure if we were drinking sugar free. No sugar comma later so we are ok and don't plan to go back to this Star Bucks for a while... read more

I stop at this Starbucks almost weekly because it's the most convenient location on my way to work. Even when the lines are long, I still usually get through fairly quickly. However, this morning and several other times in the past, I will get my coffee and notice the cup feels lighter than it should. So when I got to work, I pulled the lid off and the cup was barely half full. I'm usually in a hurry going through the drive so I don't have time to address it as it happens, but seriously, this coffee is to expensive for them to only be filling the cups up half way. read more

Very busy location, even the drive thru always has a line! This Starbucks is probably not the best location to go to if you are in a big hurry. Its hard to find a close parking spot. Its also more difficult to get in and out of this particular stripmall because Tatum is usually packed. Go to the light if you need to turn left! The baristas have always been pleasant to deal with here. One even took the time to look up the ingredients a a smoothie for me, so very accommodating. I will say their bathrooms at this one seem to always appear dirty, yuck! read more

This location is my neighborhood Starbucks, and I go in often. I have never had a problem with anyone being rude, and in fact, there is an employee, Joan, who is terrific and takes a genuine interest in her customers, especially repeat customers. She is always kind and quick to take my order, and I look forward to seeing her! I really appreciate that the morning Starbucks employees get up in the middle of the night, to arrive at their job and make sure I have a great coffee drink. It's a Starbucks: they burn the coffee beans and use really artificial flavors but I'm addicted and so are you so we all grumble and pretend to be coffee aficionados while take the mediocre drinks on our daily commutes. They never mess up my drink here but the wait is horrendous. Like, expect to wait 10 minutes for your drink when you're the only one in the drive-thru. If there are people in front of you you'd better have a lot of extra time or hope you don't care if you're late. Another annoyance is the design of the drive-thru window with the curb. It's set like 3 feet back so when you pull up to pay/get your coffee you have to reeaaalllly reach out your window and even then you barely grasp the barista's hand to exchange money and get your beverage(s). I go here everyday because it's the only drive-thru right by my house. But I complain every time I do. read more

I never thought I would write a review for a Starbucks... but here I am. I go to Starbucks for convenience and this location is consistent every single time. Last time we were there, even my fiance said, "this starbucks is on it." I've never had bad customer service here, and the drive thru moves quickly. Last week I ordered my usual, and as the guy handed it to me I thought it didn't look right. Before I even had to say anything, he commented on it having too much milk and said, "let me remake this." Additionally, we went yesterday and a girl covering drive thru noticed that our dog was in the back seat and offered to make her a pupaccino (sp?). Keep up the great work! read more

THIS STARBUCKS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ONE ON TATUM NEAR WALGREENS! I now will park, get out of my car and walk to get my morning coffee. The employees here are so nice and represent that typical Starbucks employee so much better. It is clean and they are quick! They don't mess up my order every other time either. The map makes it difficult to tell, but this is almost certainly the main Starbucks at the Desert Ridge Mall. As it happens there is also a Starbucks inside the Albertson's at one end of the mall and there are Starbucks beverages to be found inside the Barnes & Noble, but the proper Starbucks is easily found toward the movie theater end of the place. That said, the place is fine. It's small and slightly cramped, but if you go to that mall during the day when the crowds are small then it's a decent little spot. Given that it's located in the food-court-like area of the outdoor mall, the seating possibilities are vast, even though the interior is a bit cramped. The people were always nice, as usual. A cold Starbucks bev on a hot Phoenix summer day was not a bad way to go. read more

What a disaster! Save yourself the headache and go across the street to the one in Albertsons. First off, the gal at the register overcharged me $1.50 for drip coffee (apparently cream is extra to her). When I finally got my order it was all wrong; wrong size, wrong flavor. I said something and they literally poured it into a bigger cup and topped with coffee. Said something again and got a lot of attitude, but when you charge me almost $5 for a drip coffee, I want it right. She tried to tell me me that was what I ordered. Umm. I decided to review because this location recently went under renovations and I am completely impressed. It is a very busy shop and it used to be very dark and cramped along with the crazy traffic situation in the drive thru. However, the recent renovations have utilized the space and created a bright inviting environment with a new mobile pickup area, which is great because I no longer have to wait for a barista to grab my drink from behind the counter. The staff has always been very good at getting their mobile orders out and I almost never have a wait time when I walk into the shop. My best experience was a mobile order with 5 drinks drove from work which is about 5mins away and by the time I got there all of the drinks were ready and waiting in a drink carrier for me. If in a hurry I definitely suggest mobile ordering from this store, they are extremely consistent on getting mobile orders out quickly. read more

Was helped by an older lady named Joan today. She looked back to see me at the register and looked at me like I was bothering her. I politely asked for my drink and she was still being short(rude). I then just quietly grabbed my drink and turned around to hear her snap "YOU'RE WELCOME"! Obviously this has put me in a horrible mood to start out my week. I love Starbucks, I've been going for years and this location is just awful. I've had issues almost every time I've gone here whether it be them messing up my drink or charging my card an extra $22 for no reason. Today I ordered a venti caramel latte, a very simple drink and they literally gave me a cup of hot milk with no flavor, coffee, or even sugar. I get it, accidents happen especially when you're busy but how does something like that even happen? Save your time and money and go to the one on Tatum and Bell they do a much better job. read more

Drive-thru is rather quick at 5:30am in the morning and the barista was quite cheery for such an early hour -- completely different experience that the inside for a past few visits.
