Really awesome quaint coffee shop with fantastic coffee/espresso and tea options. This is a really great space for working or hanging out. Beautiful seating and real art work you can purchase. The barista's were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed a late with cashew milk.

I got the honey lavender latte and it was delicious - maybe would get it not with cashew milk next time. There was a long time so they did forget my order but it was busy so I understand. I reminded her and she made it super quickly!

One of my favorite coffee spots with the best handcrafted drinks! A decent amount of seating both indoor and out. My favorite drink is the CCL-- coconut caramel latte. Delicious hot or iced!

Best coffee ever. I know it's a chain but it's a fave. I LOVE the CCL , real pumpkin puree *chefs kiss. Definitely on the higher end for pricing

It's one of the best cold-brew coffees I've tried. They roast their own coffee, and every cartel has great coffee. I'm glad to see this business grow and expand to other areas.

The golden milk latte and the CCL were both perfectly made, well-balanced, refreshing beverages in a hot summer day. I was going to opt for a chai, however, I was concerned about the spice level. The barista let me try a taste before I made my decision, and I thought that was very helpful. She took our time with us and never made us felt rushed. I like that there's art hanging on the walls and house plants everywhere. 10/10 would recommend this location.

Darn good mocha here. Rich and velvety; very satisfying. They were able to make it decaf and with almond milk for me. Friendly and fast service. Spacious seating inside and out. Highly recommend!

Couldn't they have at least pretended to fill the cup by adding more ice?

Wow... what a terrible experience at Cartel this morning. I come here often but today was just BAD. For a business that charges what Cartel charges, I expect a premium product. When I walked in there were four people in front of me in line. Most of the seats in the shop were full. The barista was working incredibly hard just to keep up. The shop was not staffed anywhere near appropriately. After waiting about five minutes, without any orders being taken from the people in front of me, I realized the barista was still struggling to fulfill orders from folks previously waiting. I continued to wait in line. 25 minutes later my CCL was in my hands ($8 w/ tip) and the cup was, at best, two-thirds full. This was probably my final straw at Cartel. I can live with premium pricing for premium product but today I was ripped off.

Cartel has long been my favorite coffee shop in the Phoenix area!! She is on the pricier side, my coffee and pastry were $12 and I didn't get a milk alternative or anything. That said, the coffee is amazing, staff is kind, and the environments are always wonderful. As you start to get closer to ASU, the spaces become larger for studying and what not - love it!

Stopped in for much needed caffeine & this was wicked close to where I was. Stopped in & so glad I did. I was totally unsure what to order & the very nice & patient gentleman working today (10/05/22 around 2PM) I'm so sorry I didn't ask his name!! But he was super nice & made a recommendation for me of a nitro cold brew for lots of caffeine! Before I could even ask, he asked if I could antes cream & the answer 100% was yes! He was able to whip it up in a jiffy & I'm so grateful for him & the delicious caffeine I need to help me power through the rest of the day. I could totally see how someone could come to this location & get lost in the chill ambiance of it & lost in the coffee or tea of it all. They do sell some merch which is cute & reasonably priced. Great spot. Highly recommend

Oh, I love their patio! If you are here early, the sun is shining on this part of the space, so that's a plus. I also love that the coffee flavor is strong and my mocha tasted great! However, expect to pay more for coffee here, more than many other good places on this side of the Phoenix Mountain preserve. I did also like the fact that their outside patio isn't on a busy road! Milk alternatives are limited to oat and almond and no nonfat milk. But the coffee flavor is very good!

You order first and then find a seat, so it's a little bit of a shuffle, but the woman behind the counter was genuinely helpful with recommendations and what's popular. And once we ordered, the food came out pretty fast. We kicked things off with the Big Dill appetizer, and when they say "giant," they're not kidding. It's a comically large pickle, seasoned up and cut into four spears. The seasoning was actually really good, nice flavor, the right amount of spice. I'll be honest: I'm not a huge pickle person, so I didn't fall in love... but if you are a pickle person, this is absolutely your moment. I tried the brunch burrito and it was a solid portion, filling, well-built, and the avocado salsa helped a lot (I was using it like a cheat code). The only reason I wouldn't come back specifically for that burrito is the flavors didn't really pop for me, and I wished the potatoes had more crisp and there was more seasoning on the eggs. It wasn't bad at all just not a "I'm still thinking about this tomorrow" type of burrito. The drinks though? Really unique, I had the French toast latte and the banana hazelnut latte, and they serve them in this super cool commercial can sealer setup. It's such a clever touch as if your coffee came with packaging confidence. Better yet, the lattes were actually delicious and you could taste the quality of the beans underneath the flavors. We also tried the Philly cheesesteak, and it's a BIG sandwich on what tastes like a homemade sesame hoagie. The "shaved ribeye" looked more like finely chopped/ground ribeye, but honestly... it worked. It tasted great with the cheese sauce and hit the spot. The fries that came with it were steak fries, cooked to perfection, with a few extra-crispy pieces mixed in (which is basically the fry jackpot). And then there was the avocado + burrata bagel... which might be the best bagel I've ever had and I don't say that lightly. The everything bagel was fresh, toasted perfectly, and the toppings blended together so well that every bite somehow got better than the last. I also tried the lox and it was worth the money, generous smoked salmon, capers, tomato, the whole deal. Bottom line: there's a lot to love here, and it's going to take me a few more visits to work through all the menu items that look worth trying. Come hungry, expect a line at peak brunch, and don't leave without that avocado burrata bagel (and maybe one of those sealed lattes, because it's just fun).

For our bagel, we ordered an everything bagel with charcuterie cream cheese, which I can best describe as everything but the kitchen sink - capicola, mortadella, salami, provolone, artichokes, tomoatoes, roasted peppers, pepperocini, olives and red onion - all chopped up and mixed into the cream cheese. Somehow it all seems to work in terms of flavor, but as for the bagel itself I wish it were a bit bigger and had more chew, although it was decent. The biggest disappointment was with our cinnamon roll and coffees. They were out of the regular cinnamon roll so we ordered the salted caramel one. The sad part was it was cold. I mean who wants a cold cinnamon roll, even the one at Cinnabon is warm. As for the coffees, we ordered the banana hazelnut and strawberry matcha. We assumed the coffees would be hot but were given iced coffees. Only later we noticed they can be ordered either hot or iced, and wished the server had asked for our preference. As for the iced coffees, I'm not quite sure I understand the whole concept of putting them in soda cans, as the foam got stuck to the top of the can and all the flavor sank down to the bottom.

This was one of the first places I found that people had suggested for me, and so I thought it might be a good place to get some work done and a morning joe to sip on. It was a nice combination of berry fruit, lemon rind, and bright flavors that felt very refreshing! I enjoyed the drink a lot, and I would easily go back and grab some espresso-based beverages or another pourover! The space itself is grand. It's an industrial building with 3 massive roasters and plenty of seating both on the bottom floor and on the loft section. I sat in the loft and got a good vibe from it! The menu looked really good so my sis and I went to give it a shot since they also have baked goods. Walking in, the space was huge which makes sense as it's inside of chompies and I love that spot. We got some cookies from the bakery and it's weighed for pricing. The chocolate butter cookies were delicious but the other ones tasted a bit funny and not at all like butter cookies. We ordered an iced brown sugar oat milk shaken with cold foam and iced turtle with cold foam. The lady at the register was nice and asked if we really wanted cold foam, and we said yes twice. The coffee was taking a while so we walked around the area and looked at their merchandise but the coffees still wasn't done so we sat at the chairs and tables by the coffee place. The lady at the register stated that the cold foam wasn't working out and they are trying and asked if we still wanted to wait. Well of course we did cause we paid an extra dollar and some change for the cold foam. So it's odd that she was going to give us the coffee without it and not even ask if we wanted anything else in place of that. After what seemed like 15 minutes waiting for iced coffee we finally got it and as you can see from the picture, there was barely any cold foam. The lady was nice but the experience was lacking due to the order not being what we really wanted. Both coffees were sweet and it was not terrible. I'd go back for the baked goods only.
