There's like a hilarious amount of Starbucks near by with technically one on both of the nearby college campuses, at the Village, at the plaza across the street from both Mt. SAC and Cal Poly, and maybe a secret 8th one I'm not too sure about, but we sure do love our Starbucks so makes sense that there's one here too. Especially since it's pretty close to the freeway entrances/exits, so you can grab a drink and go. After working a temp shift, my boyfriend and I stopped here for a quick caffeine pick me up. There were a couple occupied seats with what looked like people working or studying, but it was largely an empty Starbucks. Definitely mobile order to pick up, especially if you want to get stars or if you are in a hurry. Parking was pretty easy despite it being a plaza with lots of businesses. Ambiance was quiet and like a standard Starbucks/coffee cafe stop and didn't have the hectic nature of other locations (at least when we went which was a weekend afternoon, I can't comment on a weekday). This Starbucks is really close to the 57 freeway, and sometimes I order ahead and pick up a cup of coffee from this location so I can get on the road quickly. Location-wise, it is great, but the downside is that there is no drive-through, so you have to walk in to get the coffee. Which is fine, more steps in! The staff here is always friendly and super nice so overall I do like coming here. They do have a row of seats and chairs that you can chill inside at. read more

My favorites are the Egg Bites, Breakfast Sandwiches and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. At this location I ordered an Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso which I had not had before. It was quite good! Prices are reasonable and quality is consistent. Drinks 4 stars: Nice assortment of hot and cold coffee and tea-based beverages. Seasonal specials. Do not go here on the weekend. The old crew that was at this store used to be able to control the crowd here and I could study uninterrupted because they were actively ensuring that the nearby church wasn't too disruptive but this new manager, a younger female I think, can't do anything to control the nearby church. The weekend crowd is extremely rude, they will kick you off your table and be extremely loud. And the manager doesn't do anything! Ridiculous! read more

I had just stopped by the Starbucks here in Pomona. Just judging it from the storefront you would think it's kind of small but the store itself is a lot larger than it looks. When you first walk in the right hand side has the bottled drinks and sandwiches in a cold case. And the mobile order stand is right there on the corner of the counter so it's a easy grab and go if you placed a mobile via the app. The team members here very friendly. It's a pretty standard Starbucks and everything is what you would expect it to be here. There are a handful tables here or people can sit and study or chat. A lot of their savory food items are really good and shouldn't be overlooked. Parking: there's lots of parking here in the parking lot. There's busy streets on both sides so it can be tough to turn into the lot at times. Be sure to download the Starbucks app and collect stars so you can redeem free drinks in the future. read more

When I entered Starbucks with my service dog, the employee immediately said, "You can't bring dogs in here." I explained that this is a service dog and mentioned that I would just pick up my coffee and leave. However, the employee repeatedly told me to wait outside and didn't even allow me to stay inside while my coffee was being prepared. I reminded them again that my dog is a service animal. The employee still insisted that I wait outside, demanded documentation, and asked what type of service my dog provides. I showed him the proper certification and explained the type of service. I also calmly explained that, in fact, he's not allowed to ask so many questions or demand such details about a service dog. I stated that I have the right not to answer those questions. He began arguing, claiming that California law requires him to ask. I asked him to show me the specific regulation he was referring to, and instead, he threatened to call the police. I told him, "Go ahead," and said I would begin recording. As soon as I started recording, he backed off and walked away -- but not before giving me a dirty look. This was by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a Starbucks. Later, I began recording again and asked him why he had tried to kick me out, especially after I had provided the proper documentation. Unbelievably, he claimed that I was "attacking" him -- which is completely ridiculous. I remained calm the entire time -- it was obvious that he was the one being aggressive and discriminatory toward me. All I did was ask him to provide the specific California regulation that supposedly allows employees to question the type of service the dog performs. He didn't answer. Instead, he deflected and accused me of being hostile -- when in fact, I was simply trying to clarify my legal rights. His behavior was not only unprofessional but entirely out of line. read more

This location is close to my office and is good for quick coffee runs. The baristas are very friendly and will fix any drink if it doesn't taste right. The only downside to this location is that it gets packed. Sometimes in the morning if you do a mobile order, there's a plethora of drinks on the mobile order table and it gets confusing. People will take the wrong drink and you'll have to wait for them to remake it. I like coming mid morning to avoid the craziness. When it's not crowded, this is a super chill location with plenty of parking. Also avoid the lunchtime rush, it can get pretty wild too. All in all, good vibes here and would recommend! read more

Upon entering the store, I was disappointed by the lack of a welcoming atmosphere. Instead of a greeting, I was met with stares from two male employees, who appeared to be either white or Hispanic. Having placed a mobile order, I expected to find the designated area for picking up such orders. However, to my surprise, this area seemed to have been removed. Consequently, I approached the register to inquire about my order. The employee standing by the cash register continued to stare at me, giving me the impression that I was unwelcome or out of place. Fortunately, a kind young lady intervened and greeted me with a simple "hello." I introduced myself as Sai and informed her about my mobile order for the Matcha drink. She directed me to the other side of the counter where my drink was waiting. Despite having received my order, the two male employees continued to stare at me, creating an uncomfortable environment. Before leaving, I thanked the young lady for her assistance. However, this experience was far from positive, and it adds to a pattern of negative encounters I've had at this particular location. I've previously encountered rudeness and hostility from the staff on two separate occasions, making this the third unpleasant incident. Due to these experiences I've learned to just place a mobile order so that I won't have to make contact with the employee's I can just get my order and go. It's disheartening to feel unwelcome and judged based on my skin tone, especially as a paying and respectful customer. I'm aware that the demographic makeup of Diamond Bar may not be very diverse, but this should not excuse discriminatory behavior. It's troubling to realize that I have investments in a company that employs individuals with such attitudes and behavior towards a specific group of people. My sister frequents this location daily for work and orders, and she has shared similar experiences of rudeness from the employees. This consistent behavior reflects poorly on the company's values and standards of customer service. As a shareholder, I hope to see improvements in the treatment of customers regardless of their background or ethnicity. read more

So I order my brown sugar shaken espresso without ice because I am a slow drinker and don't want it to water down. This is the only Starbucks that tried gave me 2/3 of the cup (coz there is no ice) which was okay, I took it but today, they gave me literally half the cup. I asked why I only have half a cup and the barista said because the drink is made of half cup of ice and since I asked for no ice, they don't know if they should just compensate with milk or what. I don't know what is worse, that they are charging $5.25 for this drink and admitted it is made of half ice, or that they waited for me to ask about it before they filled the cup. I have never experienced this is any other Starbucks and I have been ordering the same drink for like half a year now, if not longer. Closest Starbucks to home and the one I frequented when I was in college (CPP) for study sessions. So far I realized this location is probably my favorite when it comes to drink to ice proportions. I usually ask for "light ice" on my venti Strawberry Acai Refresher and the baristas here actually gives just a small bit of ice instead of 3/4 of the cup like 90% of other locations I've been to. The staff here are also really nice and has genuine smiles. Even when busy they don't mind making small talk as they ring a person up or offer recommendations. I came in and there was virtually no line so I don't think it was because of how busy they were. Even with little to no line, my drink and the one ordered before took 10 minutes to come out. The drink I ordered was delicious, but the customer experience left me with a bitter taste. I tried something new this time (an iced latte with extra sweet cream). They made all the drinks decaf, with no whip cream which I asked for whipped cream, and also one of the hot coffee's were supposed to be hot and they made it iced. This starbucks is located right off the 57 fwy when you exit Temple. It is close by to Cal Poly Pomona which is where I stopped by before I went to a friend's graduation this weekend. They got me in and out efficiently and got my drink RIGHT! Coffee frap. light...somehow other Starbucks always manage to confuse the "Coffee" for a Caramel.
