I would like to start off by saying if I could give a 0, I would. Me and 2 of my friends waited a whole hour for our very simple drinks. We live very close and decided to walk but when we arrived there was a sign on the door saying that the lobby was closed and they only allowed drive through. This major inconvenience of the lobby being closed caused a frightful middle aged man to ask 3 teenage girls to get in his car and take a ride through the drive through, which could have lead to other problems. We then decided to go to the drive through window to speak to a worker to get our drinks. She yelled at us and rather than hand us our drinks at the window she made us walk to the lobby door, which she unlocked to give us our drinks which had already been paid for. She was very rude and had horrible customer service. This is the second time I've visited this starbucks and the doors were locked during business hours. read more

I don't always write reviews for your run of the mill Starbucks, but this location was nestled in a dated strip mall, but the employees were cool and the service was great. I'd imagine they're busy in the morning as people get coffee in their way to work, but I'd think this is a cool spot during the day to get some work done or meet with clients. I've been drinking a lot of cold brew lately, and Starbucks cold brew is terrible. For all I know they're just giving me iced coffee, but I've had bad cold brew at multiple locations. Save a few bucks and just order an iced coffee. read more

Yay for Starbucks drive-thru's! Makes this coffee lover that much happier. It's a really easy location right on Poway Rd and the drive-thru is super convenient for us on the go all the time. My visit was extremely simple - put my order through, pulled up to the window where they scanned my card via Starbucks app, & I received my drink. The lady that helped me was really sweet, like I was hoping. I'm a very nice & respectable person when it comes to manners. My parents raised me well so I was happy to receive that right back. My grande iced hazelnut with soy was delicious. So no complaints here! read more

I've only had one bad experience here, and it wasn't even considered bad... I just had to wait about 10 minutes for my drink one day, but I wasn't in a rush so it's no big deal to me. Normally, I'll wait 2 minutes tops, but this particular time I got skipped or forgotten (it could've been something else). The employee I ordered my drink from got off the clock right after I ordered my drink. When she got off, she was waiting for her drink next to me and realized that I hadn't gotten my drink yet. She took the initiative to ask the another employee if they made my drink, which they didn't. So if it wasn't for her, I probably would've had to wait 20 minutes. So if you're reading this, girl who works there, thank you for saying something for me. :) Other than that, I've always been treated with respect and great service. I like this location but half the time I come here, the baristas are unsure what I'm talking about when I order a caffé vanilla frap which is on the app. It is the easiest base for me to add on since I have celiac and the vanilla bean frap does not have caffeine. I've been to this place about 7 times. Probably more like 10, but the number 7 seems more legit. Anyhow, I have had a bad-semi bad experience each time. From not getting my drink right to getting terrible service. There was one time where the service was great. It was when I actually came into the store, so I suppose you could park your car and walk in instead of go through the drive through, but the main reason I come here, is for the drive though. I highly recommend making your way down the the PQ drive through Starbucks. The employees are awesome, friendly and efficient. read more

Drive-thru Starbucks It's a nice lil Starbucks... I used to come here all the time when Stix Family Billiards was here... so I'm not here much anymore but it's still my top spot to kick back for a sec on my way to work after I've dropped off my car at the Toyota dealership... It's a lil smaller than the other starbucks' i usually go to but not too bad... the table arrangement inside is great for socializing yet horrible if you want to study... electrical outlets are sparse... They also have some outdoor seating... one nice wooden table, a couch, a couple of tables and chairs... nice lil setup especially for enjoying your coffee in the morning watching/listening to the traffic on Poway Rd drive by... read more

Today I ordered a grande soy caramel macchiato w/ sugar-free vanilla and a reduced-fat turkey bacon egg white sandwich. Their breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. For the boy, I ordered a venti no water passion tea iced tea and a sausage and cheddar breakfast sandwich. $14.75. The price of deliciousness. I generally will come here as my lunch-time getaway for work. I started using the Starbucks app so that eventually every 12th drink will be free. Still, I recently bought an espresso machine bc I don't like paying almost $5 for a latte. Anyhow, I come here bc I have a steady caffeine habit and the location is convenient. Just remember: don't get butt hurt. Cuz even after coming here steadily for the past year, they will forget your name. I visited here on February 1, 2018 at around 9 since I was getting car work done. While there were several workers at that time standing around, I was not helped until a minute to 2 when there is no one in front of me. I ordered the ice camarel machiatto coffee venti size (she asked if I wanted extra caramel, shot or more of something so I got extra caramel) and sausage/cheddar sandwich. Total came to be exactly $9. The coffee and the sandwich was good. It is a 3 stars because the service here was slower than other Starbucks I have been to. Ordering took about an extra minute longer when there were people standing around and my order also came out slower than other place. Also no one greeted me to let me know that I was going to wait that long. I think there was probably some confusion or I came in during a shift change. But the lady that helped me was nice to bring in my sandwich and coffee and she was friendly. They also said goodbye to me after my several hours of stay at the coffee shop. The service and food was good overall, but for this visit it is going to be a 3 star due to my wait time. read more

At 7 am I am refused decaff coffee. Normally the lie I get is we don't brew coffee after 12 noon. Now I'm being lied to and told we don't brew decaff because nobody orders it and it's a waist. We went to Poway on the way back from going for dinner at White Elephant. I had actually wanted to go to the Cupcake place but it was closed. Very disappointed. Hubby was wanting to have his first gingerbread latte of the season so we went into Starbucks. I dont drink cofffee so I had the double chocolate chip frapuccino and we both got cakes. Mine was a lemon Pound cake and he had gingerbread cake. The places is small, there was quite a wait for the drinks too. The cake I had was dry and the icing was the only part with flavour. My son and I stopped by here after viewing a movie in the Poway area. This is like any other Starbucks out there but as others have noted, it is on the smaller side compared to others. One of the nice benefits to this location is their drive through service which provides an added convenience. Staff was friendly and service was good as were in an out. They serve coffee so they cannot be rated anything less than an A-Ok. read more

The drive thru is really nice and it's conveniently located right on the corner. Their drive thru is a hit or miss regardless if it busy or not. The lane from the entrance to the ordering spot is so short that it can easily backup. However all the employees are really nice and always upbeat when I come to the window. literally the worst starbucks around. they can't be bothered to show any costumer service or acknowledge a costumer. mobile ordered drinks (was actually open for once) and went over to the mobile order section and was ignored. i walked around the barrier to grab my drinks because the worker obviously wasn't bothered to. the only person that bothered to acknowledge me was across the store. when i grabbed the drinks one was mine and i realized they put someone else's order with mine. overall this is the worst starbucks around. read more

This place has become my main place for a Cappuccino. Of all the coffee shops/huts that I have been buying Cappuccino from over the past couple of months, they have been the best tasting and most consistent. I can only comment on the Cappuccino because it's the only thing I order. I'm not a coffee snob and if I want just a plain coffee, the gas station works for me! So, what I love about their Cappuccino is that it has all the strength and flavor you want from a Cappuccino and not once has it been bitter. On hot days, get the Iced Cappuccino, it's tasty too! The service here has always been good. The Baristas have always been friendly and *gasp* they even smile! Be prepared if you are in a hurry, this place does get busy. Whether it's the drive-thru or inside, there is frequently a line. The shop is small, but they do have several tables inside and there is an outdoor patio, as well. My one complaint is that they aren't set up for you to write in a tip when you pay with a credit card. I don't usually carry cash and am sometimes scraping around in my car to find money for a tip when I pay with a card. Not fair for the employees, and it makes me look/feel like a jerk when I don't have cash. read more

I can Thank this Starbucks Store for saving me over $350 a month as due to all the drink errors after moving near this location I have quit going to Starbucks everyday or really at all. I can count on one hand the number of times I was greeted or even acknowledged when picking up my mobile order or walking thru the doors. There were times I would say good morning and they wouldn't even reply I've never experienced anything like it at any other starbucks I've visited throughout the United States. There was a short period with a new manager it did get much better but it quickly went right back to the all ice first cup, altered recipes, no hello, lock the door and close before the posted time & incorrect orders store. In no way the Starbucks Standard or Experience. I'm not sure if they aren't trained properly or if they are trying to raise the profits in the store. Don't order your coffee with whip. If you do, it's like getting a tall coffee in a venti cup filled the rest of the way with. When I showed the worker, his response was "oh, you should order with no whip or light whip because the whip takes away from the drink". I then replied "they put 2" of whip - I could barely drink it it was so sweet". The he said "some people have different preferences.. no whip or sometimes light whip".
