Never have a problem at this Starbucks. Even when a little busy, I like this location, especially because of the drive thru!

This review is long overdue but Kristin and Electra gave great customer service and totally turned my morning around in the drive thru. Even with my short mindedness in forgetting to say I needed an iced coffee instead of hot (on a busy morning with a long line) they never once acted annoyed and were more than happy to fix my order for me, even letting me keep my hot one "for the office" which was unexpected and appreciated. Iced cinnamon almond milk macchiato- sounds yummy, right? NOT! What I got was some tasteless concoction of icy, bland, watery, brown-colored coffee lookalike. I also ordered a mocha frapp - should be a no brainer to make since this is a classic Starbucks drink. My Ma orders this all the time and she swears it always tastes the same each time but the one she got today from this location was tasteless. 0615 is NOT my best time of the day . . . The words 'grande. coconut milk. chai latte' was difficult enough to get out of my mouth but having such kind people there to kindly chit-chat was great. I am sure my face / voice my tiredness is vivid but everyone here has always been a kind, cheerful face to brighten up the start of the day. I wouldn't have noticed it until I was at work. I work right down the street from this Starbucks and love it. Not only have I had consistently good service but I'm here a few times a week and have never left feeling slighted. Yes, the drive thru lines can be long but it's because just like you, everyone appreciates the convenience of the drive thru. If you don't want a line, you're always welcome to walk in. I've had to hand back drinks to be replaced because they weren't done as I asked and they've never had a bad attitude about fixing my drink. If I order an ice coffee with milk I expect the drink to look like there was milk, so when I ask if you can add more milk cause it's to dark, it doesn't mean go talk shit and say I need to stir my coffee. Drive thru is super convenient with young kids and this would be my go to spot but the drive thru almost never gets my drink right and when I ask about it I get attitude or rolling eyes about it. Ive been getting the same drink for years, I'm going to know when it's not made correct. I've been to this location hundreds of times. This last time will be my final straw. Went through the drive thu ordered two vanilla lattes. They tasted like they had absolutely no coffee turned around and went inside for a remake. Second ones were made. SAME THING taste like water. The "barista" said I dont know what the problem is and rolled her eyes. At that point I was fed up asked for a refund had to get back in line. Told the cashier a refund for 2 vanilla lattes gave my cc then prints the receipt and she only refunded me for two lattes! Seriously. I will stick to coffee bean. read more

The night manager at this Starbucks is extremely rude. They don't close until 9 but when I went in there at 830 she told me" in or out were closing" so much for me ever going to this Starbucks again. I needed more caffeine to be up early enough to go to the Poway Farmers Market... so I stopped here on my way over. It took quite a long time to get through the Drive-Thru. When I got to the window, the lady was super peppy and friendly, which was nice, but my coffee was lukewarm... not hot. Sigh... There's indoor and outdoor seating, although i do wish they had more sofa seating inside. Strong wi-fi. Overall, good place to study or just catch up with friends. read more

This morning I hit the drive thru at starbucks for a quick fix for a cafe latte. While I was getting change the girl drops my change on the ground and all she said was "oops, its windy today". As I travel all over the world from Russia to Hawaii and many places in between this by far is absolutely the worst Starbucks I've encountered. Unfortunately I've been given a few chances for this location to redeem themselves as I live close by. However today is the last day I will go here, I even talked to someone by the name of Kayla, she identified herself as an assistant manager but even her customer service was unsatisfactory which makes it worse. On a couple different occasions I ordered the carmel coffee and always had to ask them to make it as in the picture they advertise, i wasn't trying to do a special order. If you do not request this they take all the short cuts either to cut costs or their time. I was told by Kayla they have complaints about being too slow so my only solution as to why they fail in making a coffee they advertise is because of these reasons. Also don't try and and use your Starbucks rewards card because again as I was told by Kayla you must specify they won't ask you if your card is a rewards car because it takes extra time. I wasn't even offered to come back and get my rewards which I should have raked up quite a few by now. This place defiantly needs new management, and the cleanliness is mediocre at best. read more

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. This is the closest store to our house and we drive farther to stay away from this location. Every so often we will try and give it another chance.... and every single time we are reminded why we don't visit this one. There is ALWAYS something out, wrong, broken, understaffed. Today was my first time using the Starbucks app. I drive by this Starbucks on my way to work and I just got a gift card so I thought it'd be easiest to order on the app and just pick up my drink on my way. Well I made the silly mistake of ordering my drink at another store down the street (DOH!) and even though I was in a hurry and obvisouly very confused, Marshal, a Starbucks employee quickly figured out the issue and made me my drink in no time at all. I was so surprised at the amazing customer service of this employee and everyone in the coffee shop. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Poor customer service, drive thru wait times are consistently too long with none due to customer traffic. Many times, I observed a lack in urgency by the staff, mainly from the employee at the window. With an exception of one employee there, I would recommend investing in some team member training in customer service. One evening employee there for some reason is always unfriendly and at times rude. He's a Hispanic kids with spikey hair often at the drive thru window in the evenings. One time another young employee scolded me and said smoking at the Starbucks drive thru was not allowed and then commented that "smoking is f-ing nasty anyway." read more

Nice place, always a great staff....but where are the electrical outlets to plug my laptop into?? There's like 3 for the entire lobby area by the lounge chairs. Really annoying when my laptop dies & there's no outlet to recharge! They need a ton more outlets in here for the customers who could certainly use them. Had the worst Starbucks experience this morning. Put in a mobile order that was suppose to be ready in 6 mins. Got there and my order wasn't ready..apparently they didn't notice the mobile orders that were coming through. I had to ask and the girl working at first told me no mobile order had been made, showed her my phone and magically it was found. Then the girl who made my drink spilled the milk while pouring it into my cup, instead of cleaning up nicely before handing it to me, she hands it to me dripping with milk on the side. No apology for the delay or inconvenience was ever given...so disappointed and I come to this Starbucks often too...smh read more

My first review on Yelp. I seriously opened this account because its just unacceptable. I KNOW that Starbucks stops making the blond roast coffee at certain time because the caffeine etc, and if i request it might take several minutes because they need to make it, but almost every Starbucks i go looks like the get mad or frustrated when i ask for it. Really? It's just like any other coffee and I do know it will take time and that is OK with me. Dont make excuses!!! Yeah, some customes dont know and you have to explain it but why the attitude?. The slowest drive thru with the most wrong orders! Rude people who keep telling stories even when they see the long line and are aware of the traffic. I went inside to get my coffee after almost 20 minutes waiting in the car and saw them laughing and chit chat even after knowing that there are many cars blocking the main entrance to the plaza. This location has gotten much much better in the last year or so. Any drive-thru on a main road will get busy, but they get people in and out quickly and haven't messed up an order of mine in over a year. I used to hate this location, but whatever they did to straighten it up, it worked. read more
