Not only are the baristas at this Starbucks so sweet and kind, but they are super friendly and they really care to help you with your orders (like the kind that other people give to you, with many requests). I appreciate the efficiency of the baristas and kind note or sticker that helps brighten my day and others as well. I was a bit surprised to see the low reviews for this location. While I'm not a huge Starbucks fan and prefer the mom and pop shops, I visit this location often due to its location on my way to work. The staff here is so nice and they always make sure to make my drink the way I like it. I even made a mistake ordering once which was my fault so I didnt expect them to remake my drink but they still offered to redo it the way I had wanted and I greatly appreciate that. There are 2 male that work at this location, both with curly hair, and they are there more than any staff I've seen. Both are always so friendly and helpful making any visit a great experience. The line always moves quickly in the drive thru which is great. While I can't give 5 stars due to how expensive Starbucks is nowadays, this location deserves at least 4 for its customer service, which to me is what really makes or breaks a business. read more

Went to this Starbucks location in Poway for Red Cup Day. Ordered a Grande sized Peppermint Mocha Frappucino. When I drove up to the window the associate gave me my drink, but didn't give me the red cup. When I asked about the red cup, she informed me that the drink I ordered didn't qualify as a holiday drink, therefore I wouldn't receive a red cup. I told her that it was listed under the holiday drink menu online. She stepped away from the window and proceeded to get a manager. The manager came to the window and told me I didn't order a Peppermint Frappucino and I told her I did. She then proceeded to tell me that since the Peppermint Frappucino I ordered had coffee in it, it didn't qualify as a holiday drink and told me they would have to make the drink over without coffee. Huh?? As I sat there at the drive up window, I checked the website and sure enough, the Peppermint Mocha Frappucino with coffee was listed as a holiday drink. For goodness sake, PEPPERMINT is as HOLIDAY as you can get! Well, I wasn't in the mood to argue so I waited as they modified my drink. I finally got my coffee-less Peppermint Frap and drove away with my red cup. Starbucks, you really know how to ruin a holiday vibe and you still asked for a tip? Sorry, not today. read more

Drive through scam-Stay away- dishonest employees in drive thru!!! Went through drive thru at Starbucks while on vacation. I frequent here in the mornings during the week and after about a year of coming here they finally at least acknowledge me when I come in. The baristas do not make an effort to get to know their customers, their interactions are not very genuine. Except for I think the manager, she's sweet & genuine. I will say my mobile order drink comes out PERFECT every single time. I'm rating 3 stars because of an experience I just had on Saturday 7/20 @ 2p-230pm. Ordered a drink and a double smoked bacon in the drive thru, I took a couple bites down the road and realized there wasn't any cheese on it. I turned around and went back and brought the sandwich inside and politely explained there was no cheese, he didn't apologize, didn't say anything except "I need to see it" okay - weird - I'm not lying about it? So they remake the sandwich, again, with no apology, and I went back to my car and opened the sandwich and there was (no exaggeration) a size of a quarter worth of cheese.... So I went back in.. again.. & same thing! This time it was a young lady who didn't apologize, instead she gaslit me and said "they just come out that way and melt into the bread" um. No. I worked at Starbucks for 8 years and I know the cheese is crumbly but that doesn't mean you give out a poor quality sandwich. Normally I wouldn't care but it's a $6 sandwich and following the LATTE model to make the moment right is not hard. At all. It's a small Starbucks in a small plaza in a middle of nowhere town but that doesn't stop them from delivering a 5-star level of service in a clean and organized store. We stopped in for a quick couple cups on a very cold and insanely windy day before driving back to OC after visiting a Sprinter dealer. Parking is easy and there are a few 10-minute reserved spots but there's not much to do here so you won't be here for long. Not much else I can say so I'll just leave it at that. I stopped in this Starbucks early in the morning for a quick bite because I woke up famished as usual. My pre breakfast snack consisted of multigrain and oat bagel with butter and the grande Blonde Veranda with no room but with a touch of cinnamon. I asked them to toast the bagel which they delivered nicely. The Kerrygold Butter melted well on the warm bagels. The bagel tasted good and had a moist texture. I like the oats and seeds a top of the bagel. The Blonde Veranda was okay. It was a little bitter towards the end, an unfortunate results I have experience with the last three Blonde Verandas I have had at local Starbucks. It use not be that way, but rather smooth and mild. I'm not sure if it's being caused by a dirty filter or it's the coffee, I suspect the latter. They have a busy drive thru that appeared to be moving smoothly. Service was pretty good, other than one of the girls giving me the wrong bagel the first time around. Kudos for Starbucks using a good quality butter. read more
