I went here on a Monday for a little "pick me up" coffee to start the week off. The drive thru was a bit long but the employees were kind and patient while taking my order. The line looked like it would take about 30 minutes to wait in line but the employees were efficient and got the line moving quicker than I expected and for that I was impressed! I ordered a pumpkin spice frappe blended and it was the perfect fall treat. I also ordered my kids the mango dragonfruit refresher and my dog a pup cup and it was a hit! While there are better Starbucks in the world this one downtown has everything you could want and more. The staff is friendly and quick at making your drink. Beware, it can get pretty busy at certain times of day but that's also part of the fun of going sometimes. Parking will probably never get much better even though another structure is being erected across the road. Get here at 6:00 pm and witness Eddie walking his chihuahua, Princess. We ice skate a couple blocks away and walk over for something warm and often have a rap with these legends. Evening is a great time to visit; Especially if Sav, Molly, Reagan or Erica is here. Sampling dozens of these establishments, there are a few that are habitually slow and confused, but this one is among the best - friendly, prompt, and customer-oriented. The barista's at the store are my heroes of the day. I took my defective zippered tote in today and they gave me credit. It might've taken them a few minutes to figure out how to do it but they happily gave me credit for their defective product. Unlike the Starbucks I've visited in Woodinville, WA these barista's know what customer service and customer satisfaction are all about. Visiting the Silver Legacy in Reno NV ordered a sausage/bacon wrap with cheese, bread in the ends is hard and not edible, scarcely any sausage or bacon. It's a Starbucks. It meets expectations. The layout is nice and the seating does not feel cramped. Staff are friendly and the food case always is well stocked. Please stop wining about the parking. This location parking is "my" Starbucks. Every employee is fabulous and I go here even when I don't necessarily need the coffee because I like the environment. The parking is pretty good - if you come between 8am-8:30am the parking can be tight however there is street parking. I kinda wish they had a drive through but with the location it just isn't possible and it forces me to go interact with people which sometimes is really nice :) All Starbucks are great, but "my" Starbucks is the best! read more

I think that this Starbucks location is my favorite Starbucks to visit in the Reno/Sparks area. Being surrounded by windows allows a lot of natural light to come in which helps if you are working or studying. A Starbucks is a Starbucks, but this location looked super-nice and modern. Lots of tables, expansive big windows, a nice view. Not a big parking lot but I found a place right away. No drive-through a bit of a minus but as there was no line and the service was quick I didn't sweat it. I branched out and tried something different today, a Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino. Feeling seasonal. My frap was quite good. Tasty chocolate chunks on top, rich creamy whipped cream and minty fresh frappuccino goodness. The drink was all good. The barista was nice. Got my name right which I understand is the perennial Starbucks battle. As I am a Starbucks fan I imagine I'll be back. read more

This place is so much more functional than the nearby 7th Street location. I've started coming here instead. There's no drive thru which is a major downside and often there's a long line, sometimes out the door. The staff is usually fast and friendly and have yet to mess up a drink so strides above 7th Street. Last time I went, I got the Frappula Frapaccino for Halloween and the girls working were particularly friendly and helpful. Several location I had tried to order the drink I was told "Oh, we don't know how to make that..." These girls "Oh we've never made one of those before, but they sent instructions. This is where I go to study on a regular basis, and coming here allows me to get what work I got to get done, get done. The atmosphere is positive and refreshing for me to think clearly and get to work, along with a little bit of coffee to help in the creative process. I usually get a basic mocha, along with either lemon bread or blueberry muffin. When I want to get something to fill me up more, I like getting the Gouda, eggs and bacon sandwich. The WiFi is a bit iffy, but overall a good place to work and get good coffee or a bite if in a rush. read more

I have been coming to this Starbucks for almost 5 years. The guest service is top notch, management is top notch. I have NEVER been treated badly or had a long wait or anything. Sometimes though, I can't find the right mix or balance to my coffee. Last week a young man that works there, named Jeremiah, turned me on to a drip type coffee, that changed my world. The coffee is delicious! And I just wanted to give a shout out to this employee, as I am sooo grateful for his suggestion. It takes alittle longer to make, sort of an extra labor to the coffee attendant, but he never made me feel like I was an inconvenience or "owed" him anything. I think he deserves to be recognized for his incredible guest service. This location, in general, gets 5 stars from me. THANK YOU! read more

To be fair, I did work at this location. Kristina (who still manages it) is a GREAT manager, she was always fair and cared about her customers, her staff, and the community. This Starbucks is also in a great locatios - we got regular nurses and doctors from St. Marys, lawyers with down town offices, transients from the near buy Greyhound Station, and college kids. It's amazing people watching, and as mentioned in a previous review - the patio is great. I find that baristas seem to stay for a long time here, so they know what they are doing. Also, because this Starbucks doesn't have a drive through, they will make time to get a drink right if they mess it up. Busiest hours are 6am-9:30am. read more

Most of the Starbucks in town have low ratings.. So I really should not be surprised. This one was closest to the Sands so we grabbed coffee here yesterday on our way out of town. I ordered a double tall latte extra foam, hubby ordered a double tall dry cappuccino. As we are waiting I hear the barista snicker at our drinks to the cashier (he called them both out to her and laughed) This after he just made a Green Tea Ice tea with one pump peppermint with a straight face. Excuse me but WTH is that? Hubby and I have both been baristas and have made some odd drinks, but you DO NOT make fun of your customers choice, and in this case we ordered actually coffee drinks- not some Starbucks made up silliness. When we retrieved our drinks I told him *ah REAL coffee* Hubby's drink was not dry. For those who don't understand that- Dry means little milk- A cappuccino is supposed to be espresso, foam and a little bit of milk, dry would mean even LESS milk. Hubby should have pointed this out to this jerk- but taking the high road he did not. There is another Starbucks in Silver Legacy where the Baristas are not jerks, go there instead. read more

I highly recommend this Starbucks. I realize that I'm supporting a corporate giant, but believe me, there's a reason why I come back to this place. This is one of the busier Starbucks, and yet things always move fast. More than that, the customer service, is great. There are times when I go in to get coffee, deal with a barista that I barely remember ever talking to, and yet my name is on the cup, without anyone having to ask. This is based strictly on using the mobile app. The last few times I have picked up my beverage it has been about half full with mostly foam and a lot of empty space. The few times I have ordered at the counter I haven't experienced this so I can only assume they short the mobile customers assuming they'll be long gone before they notice. It was obvious when I picked up the cup by how light it was, but I ordered mobile because I didn't have time to wait in the always very long line. I gave them another shot assuming it was a fluke but it looks like it's become the standard. I'll be visiting the Virginia Street location from now on. read more

This is one Starbucks that lives up to there advertising. Friendly employees, fast service and of course the same great coffee that brings me back again and again. The only problem with this location is the parking. Very limited and they share the parking lot with two other restaurants. Don't think I would come at lunch time. Although they are expensive they are consistent which for me makes it worth it. read more

I don't know how Starbucks could get less than par reviews. But after coming to this one... I know why. So, for starters the parking is pretty tight. In the front they have a couple spaces that says customers only. But it is most likely employees parking there because there wasn't many people inside. We parked on the side street. We went in and waited in line while the barista chatted with someone... waiting.... save the personal conversations for your own time.... Anyways, so we were there for the happy hour frappachinos. I ordered a small vanilla bean frap w/ javachips, no whip.(Told her this 3 times) Also I ordered a Espresso Frap with Java chips, 1% milk and whip cream. I am showing a picture showing that even on the cup it says Java chips, but yet as you can see... none in there. I also had to remove the whip from my daughters drink and put it on mine. Also had to wait awhile for the girl to come back to the counter to ask for a dome top. I was purposely transferring the whip cream with a straw right there in front of her saying aloud that they didn't listen, when I was asked by a friend why I was standing there. Another thing I thought was odd was the chocolate straw things, they were charging 95cents for. I had went to Strabuck's the past two days and they were giving them out for free because they say right on it "Starbucks Happy Hour" and they aren't supposed to charge for them. read more

5 stars for the service! The people who were working there are some of the nicest baristas I've ever met. There was this one man (whose name I wish I had asked for) who received my order. We shared some small talk and he smiled and everything. When I ordered my mocha cookie crumble frap (which was absolutely delightful), he found that I was using this coupon for a free drink. He gave me suggestions of how to get the best bang for my (free) buck. I ended up just adding a shot of espresso and still enjoyed my drink. read more

This is a really nice location. It's roomy inside and they have several tables outside. Not a lot of parking though but it's fine. There's street parking. The staff are really accommodating. I wanted an over pour of Casi Cielo Cafe Misto and they looked in drawers and wholla!! They found a bag and said sure!! They even told me it will take a few minutes and to have a seat, someone will bring it right over. While waiting, all the staff treated their customers the same way. Also, when I scanned my app to pay for it, she said, remember to get a refill before I go. After a few minutes of sitting there, she came over and asked if I wanted a refill and I said yes. She took my cup. At most places, I don't get a Cafe Misto refill, it's usually just brewed coffee but she brought back a Misto. I was stoked!! Love this place. I would come here next time I'm in the area since it's a few blocks from where we would stay. read more

This coffee house has a great view of the downtown skyline and offers ample amounts of space for lounging out . When you enter the smells of coffee grounds and frothy milk fill your senses. I love to come here when it's cold out. The temperature of the shop seems to wrap me up like a warm blanket. Not to hot and not to cold. Just right. And I must say.
