The worst. I ordered my salted caramel mocha without regular chocolate syrup ( which is awful tasting) and subbed white chocolate....which was printed right on the label pasted to my cup. I stop in here almost everyday for a coffee before I go to work. This is a place where the people are friendly, both employees and customers and where I can quietly work on my laptop. I'm a struggling writer and for reasons I don't really know, I can't write at home, but for some reason the hustle and bustle of people coming and going here gets my creative juices flowing. read more

I am so lucky this happens to be the nearest Starbucks to my office! The weekday morning staff is so warm, caring, and friendly, and they make genuine efforts to engage in conversation and get to know me. Their drinks are always consistent and well made, and they are always quick to point out that they'll happily replace a drink if it's new to me and I'm uncertain about whether or not I should try it (when I'm feeling gutsy enough to break free from my norm). Case is always well stocked-very rare that they're out of anything (especially in the morning). Hugely varied crowd makes for awesome people watching, too :) Don't despair if there isn't room in the small parking lot, as there is typically plenty of street parking if you're willing to walk just a half a block! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped at this Starbucks on our way back home after a weekend trip to Reno. While the drinks were fine (it's not difficult to mess up two hot chocolates but its been done), the service was the worst I have ever experienced at a Starbucks. We waited at least 20 minutes to get our drinks, while the three customers that came in AFTER us got theirs. One of them had two orders and another had four. Why on earth did the employees find it appropriate to make six drinks before our two? Maybe that is how things are done in Nevada but the proper etiquette is to make the drinks in the order they were placed. I was seething by the time we finally received ours but we received no apologies or compensation. While we are planning to come back to Reno, you can bet that we will never return to that Starbucks. read more

This is a nice location with plenty of seats and tables to sit at. Unlike most of the other starbucks in the area, this particular starbucks is very quiet, with most people on their laptops minding their own business and not having loud conversations that can be extremely distracting when you just want to work on your laptop. My favorite drink here is the iced green tea...nothing is better than a nice cool drink during a very hot summer day! And when I'm done with the first round, its only another 50 cents for a refill. read more

My experience at this Starbucks guarantees that I will never go into this store again! I placed an online order, my normal a quad shot expresso over ice with 2% milk. It was made as ordered, but when I arrived it was still strong for my liking so I went to add a splash of cream. When I got to the service area, the cream was empty so I walked up to the counter and asked if I could get more cream. The employee looked at me with a very annoyed face, and I stood at the counter for seven minutes while he finished processing four other drinks in their entirety. (Yes, I ordered online because I had a meeting to be at by 7:30 AM) I remained patient, even though frustrated, as I knew he was working on another customers drinks. However, when the man finished and finally addressed me he refused to refill the container for me but instead stated, "I will only give you a small amount (in which he placed a splash of cream in my cup not even topping it off), as you already have milk in your drink and should be charged for the cream. You now have made yourself a latte and you did not pay for a latte." I stated that I was unaware of the "cream limit", as it is usually out for free customer use. He continued to berate me about adding cream. I was so embarrassed, as I am a professional and he was lecturing me loud enough for all people in the store to hear. As I walked out humiliated, the other employee looked at me and mouthed, "I am sorry have a great day." I order hundreds of drinks from Starbucks each year and If adding a splash of milk to my quad shot expresso increases the cost then it should be reflected in the cost of my drink, but refusal to let me use the cream once in the store is ludicrous and to publicly humiliate me in front of others is inapprehensible. read more

The manager (I believe; he's tall and bald... name Ed?) is so extremely rude and disrespectful. I rarely visit this Starbucks, and my last visit reminds me why. I truly feel sorry for the Batistas who work here. We were in here on 8/4/15 after checking in to Whitney Peak Hotel for our stay during Hot August Nights. Ordered a Ristretto Breve Cappuccino, got a Raspberry Breve Cappuccino. Not the first time this has happened, but at least I didn't have to find out on my first sip since the barista called it out (they didn't call names during the time we were here). I was a little apprehensive for the remake, and my husband's drink (same), but amazingly it was spot-on! Not made like a Latte, like many baristas do nowadays. This is by far the best Starbucks in Reno. I've been to most of them in town but I frequent this one because it's within walking distance of my work. Sisco and Smitty now know me by name and always say hi when I come in, even if they're not the ones to help me. If I didn't switch my order every time I'm sure they'd have that memorized too. I always enjoy coming into this one because everyone is always so nice and sincere and I really appreciate genuine customer service (it's a dying art). Not to mention my drinks always taste amazing when I get them here. It's good vibes and great people, if I were to ever work at Starbucks i'd want it to be this one! read more
