This spot was great. Came here after work and wasn't really busy. Parking can get a little crowded in the closer area, but there is plenty of parking and even some shade in the whole business parking lot. I decided to try the new blended tropical citrus energy drink. Never again. It only comes in Venti size and I got super jittery and wired. I also asked for it withour the strawberry glaze, but without it- it is not aesthetically pleasing at all. Just looks like a water slushie lol. Anyway- the 5 stars because I received great customer service. The gentleman had trouble finding it in his system and when I asked to use some stars for a free treat, he was out of the pineapple I wanted, so he let me choose an alternative on the house for all the trouble. Also ordered 3 pup cups and they gave to me in smaller clear cups which is nice (always felt bad wasting the nice espresso cups). Anyway, I like this spot, even though no drive-thru. There are 4 Starbucks in the pocket area, and this one by far is the superior Starbucks from customer service to atmosphere. The only downside is that most people know that and come here instead of the other ones so it's always busy. I come here to work and the wifi is great and never have issues with it. There are a decent number of outlets as well. The baristas are always so nice and it feels like a community Starbucks moreso than a lot of other locations. One of my favorites. read more

Stopped by about 20 minutes ago and was trying to order a drink with blended ice and the person at register laughed at the order. When making the drink I overheard the staff laughing because I wanted a drink with ice but no ice (blended) and making jokes about it. At one point I heard a staff member say "it must be nice to want things". I worked in customer service, if you're gonna make fun of the customer at least go to the back to do it so they can't hear you. Awful experience, we had to pretend we didn't hear them joking about us while preparing our order & on top of it they didn't even get the size of our drinks correct. Always love this great location in this neighborhood. The parking can be a little tricky with rush hour. It is a busy store so it always helps when you have your order ready so they can move the line along. The seating is open and it has a great homey feel to it. Here's why I took time to give this location 5 stars: I accidentally ordered a brûlée latte and a white pep mocha, instead of fraps, on my app. When I walk in, I'm greeted by the 3 employees right away, they are all moving at a productive pace, attentive and on task. The music is a little low, but I can still make out the Christmas music that makes me jolly right away. I get to the pick up counter and see Solo (I'm assuming supervisor) drop the hot drinks off to me. Solo recognized that I had an issue right away and took the exact amount of initiative I needed as an embarrassed customer. I am super appreciative of how they all just kept on being awesome and didn't make a big deal of my mistake. As for the last 2 reviews: wth real housewives of pocket?1 star just because you got distracted for 15 minutes? Going straight to grading 1 star is damaging to the overall score which messes with $$, so try to be accurate geesh. read more

Stopped at Starbucks in the Pocket area of Sacramento. The 2nd time I was the only person in line and waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Only 6 people in the place. Everyone seemed in pretty poor mood. No apologies for being kept waiting and what was the worst...they got my drink order wrong. I am a very patient person, but there is no excuse for poor customer service and basically rude behavior. Needless to say, I won't be going there anymore. Just wanted to say my barista Jan was pretty cool at making drinks. She made two beautiful drinks for me and my lady. I got the mocha cookie frappe and my lady got the acai lemonade. It was cool watching Jan make the drinks. You can definitely tell she is a master at this art. This place was quiet and relaxing. You can see people here studying and working and also a safe place to meet up with friends to chat and hang out. They have nice bathrooms and even free coffee grounds for composting. I bring my small puppy in my arms to order a coffee, when a rude old employee ask me if it's a service dog if you read this, just to know you don't have the right to ask that in California, I explain it to her that it's a small dog and I can't leave it in the car and she told me, I just letting you know for next time it's not the first time I hear that, terrible customer service it's not like I'm gonna eat there with my dog in the table she didn't even take my order, I was just ordering to go terrible service they don't care about the customer I been there a few times and she's always rude with customers, I do have a service dog and a letter from a doctor that is emotional support animal and I have the right to take him anywhere I want, I work in customer service too and that's not the way to ask when the dog is big, I respectfully tell them if they can wait in a corner with their dog sitting if it's a small dog that is not even visible, there's no reason to bother the customers, they are emotional help for everyone. Don't waste your time mobile ordering, it's never ready anyways and you have to wait 10 minutes for your mobile order while people who order in store get there orders before your mobile order 2. However one day I totally woke up and took my dog on a walk and on the way back I mobile ordered to not be in there since I had my dog. I'm here right now at 10am on a Saturday, and two elderly women and one man (who all clearly don't know each other) are standing next to tables outside because they can't find chairs. There needs to be a plan for when a group takes 8 chairs for their big group. Nothing wrong with big groups taking chairs but with things opening back up and people coming here to lounge and read papers/magazines/phones, please plan better! They left the front unattended with one person and a lobby full of people. I waited only to receive the nastiest medicine ball I've ever purchased. This thing tastes like hot lemonade. Is clear the barista was upset I questioned how she was fulfilling orders and filled the cups up half way with lemonade. I have never been to this Starbucks location and, unfortunately, I had a bad experience. One good thing is that the place had floor stickers that indicated where to stand to enforce social distancing rules. There are also taped areas on the floor to indicate where to line up if you are picking up a mobile order - this was great because it gave clear directions. However, I was a little bit concerned because no one was cleaning the tables inside the location so new comers would have a clean place to sit and wait for their orders. In other Starbucks locations that I have been to, they always had a person cleaning areas to disinfect it. In addition to this, I placed my orders inside the store and waited to be called up. 15 minutes passed and I was still not being called up, so I decided to check on my order and showed my receipt to the pick up counter. I explained that it has been 15 minutes since I placed my order and have yet to be called up. The barista took a look at my receipt and saw that the time I placed the order showed that it has been 15 minutes. The barista threw away my receipt (which also made me upset because she threw it away without asking me) and said that she made the drinks 15 minutes ago. So, I was confused because I was not called up to grab my drinks. I asked if my drinks could be replaced because I was not sure if other people have touched my drinks or not since they were sitting there for awhile and other people were picking up their drinks at the counter also. The barista said that they could only replace it if the order was wrong. At this point, I did not want to argue. So, I took the drinks and left. This was a bad experience for me at this location. I love this Starbucks because it's close to my house and its a new store. Thus it is always clean and organized and it's very spacious with nice soft seating and big roomy tables with stools. A downside however is the fact that It closed earlier than the average Starbucks. Most Starbucks are open until 10 PM or 11 PM, but this Starbucks closes at 9 pm. Additionally, the parking at this Starbucks is a nightmare! So be ready to see some road rage in the parking lot. (I did and it was quite entertaining. ) This parking lot is easily accessible if you are headed south on Greenhaven or west on pocket Road. Otherwise you will have to drive past Starbucks and make a U-turn at the light and come back the other direction. Overall, I still love this Starbucks better than most. New to the corner of Greenhaven Drive and Pocket Roads. Great neighborhood location! We walked less than a mile from our home and it's also less than a mile off the freeway. Parking in the morning on weekdays is a bit hairy since the shopping mall it's in is a bit small and is shared with 24 Hour Fitness, but a small sacrifice for one loyal to the brand. The store is brand new and clean, the baristas know what they are doing and are friendly. Layout is a big rectangle. Seating is four single lounge chairs in a corner, LONG bar-like seating with stools in the middle with a decent amount of smaller wood tables and chairs. LOTS of windows, less wall space which makes it feel more open. Love it! Outdoor seating includes green Starbucks umbrellas with tables and chairs. A great addition to the Pocket! I don't usually go to Starbucks, last time I went to one was 4 years ago and that was for a cup of water. I went because I was gifted a gift card. It's nice that this one lets you sit inside though there may have been 3 to 4 tables. I got a S'mores frappe, but it didn't taste like it had any coffee in it. Came here last night for paint nite! Arrived a bit early so I ordered a green tea frap while I waited for the event to start. I haven't ordered a frap in two years! But I remember before it used to be chunky because the ice wasn't blended enough. However when I received my drink, it was amazing. Blended perfectly with no chunks of ice at all! The drink was so smooth. This place is also really spacious! Was able to hold 36 people for the paint nite event and they still had room for a couple of tables available in the back for the people who weren't in the event to use!! Service was really friendly and the place was very clean. If I'm ever in the area again, this is definitely my go to place for a frap. read more

This is a local Starbucks in the Greenhaven and Pocket area of Sacramento. I went with friends and family while visiting Sacramento. We had a family gathering / meeting here and we were here for a good hour or so. This location seems small from the front, but it is actually vary spacious upon walking in and seeing the inside. There is ample seating for everyone and even some outdoor seating. There however is no drive thru. Being here for over an hour, I got to see how this Starbucks location operates and what not. The baristas here are really friendly and approachable, it even seems as if they remember repeat customers. The service here is fast and quick, especially when you order ahead using the Starbucks app. They are quick to acknowledge customers upon walking in. Plenty of parking as well, it is not located in a heavy or busy shopping center, just next door to a pizza place. I can see why this place has such high ratings. I hear that this place also does light dining in the afternoons til night time with wine and beer tasting, a double plus for this location. :) read more

Worst parking situation award goes to this Starbucks! You'd think they'd scope out the parking situation, when deciding to open a Starbucks. Quick and easy caffeine is their thing (probably not according to them), but it is what they excel at. Except here, this isn't the case. It's an awkward parking lot already, then add in the fact that the spots to business ratio is completely off balanced, you have issues. The actual spot is pretty spacey inside, because they are tucked away in the large corner of the shopping center. Their patio is huge and looks nice, I didn't have time to enjoy. There is plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy their beverages and park it for hours on end. The staff was nice and helpful, even though they were crazy busy for a late Sunday afternoon. I have a feeling this place stays busy, no matter what day or time. I'd skip this spot and go somehwere else, just to avoide the parking... read more

As far as Starbucks goes, this location is just fine. The handcrafted quality of their lattes are hit and miss ... Sometimes I get a high quality perfectly executed latte in a cup ... Other times I feel like I'm drinking heavy water. The last two times I've been here my lattes have been on point . The staff is friendly and efficient. The location is one of the newer ones and so its still in great shape and they have a few comfy chair to lounge in . The parking here can get a bit tricky during peak hours. This rating goes to an employee...about 5'11" caucasian male, quite slender with brunette, short hair, with curved posture...he worked on August 20 (Saturday) at around 4 PM. I ordered my usual trenta iced green tea lemonade. After I finished my drink, I went to the end of the counter--where the drinks are released and where nthe sink is--to ask to fill the cup I just emptied with water. I was told by this employee not to cut the line. I conceded that it was "my bad" and there were 5 people in line. This same employee continued to give me the nastiest lingering look after he said not to cut the line. I did not appreciate his tactless and unprofessional delivery, but in principle he was right. However, the nasty lingering look became a whole different story. If that's the new manager of this joint, good luck! There seems to be a lot of new people working here now. read more
