The lady at the front was very understanding of what we wanted and how we wanted it. I was looking to get my son something caffeine free but fumbled around with the order until we got help. My son loved the drink and said he wants to come back the next day. I also like that they play music here as well. It's especially nice on hot days coming into the cold ac. An excellent widely available option. I enjoy a simple cold brew. It was a beverage I ran across at the airport. The version there is very decent. The option here is a solid repeat option when I don't have the time in my day to seek out more "crafty" options. This location has nice comfortable seating options indoors and outdoors. I was looking forward to the hot white chocolate mocha but as soon as I get home I open my drink to take a sip and I am shocked to see my drink almost half empty? Peet's Coffee has a few locations in Elk Grove. This one is one of them I like to visit when I'm there for lunch or dinner at the same parking lot. This mall has my favorite restaurant and ice cream shop. This Peet's Coffee has the same good coffee as the other Peet's Coffee I like--very good and fast service. I enjoyed having a cup of coffee in front of their outdoor seating area when the weather was good. They have a lovely interior as well. The parking lot can be jam-packed sometimes. I've been coming to this location for over a decade, it's one of the reasons I became a Peet's loyal customer. I've seen managers and employees come in and out, some very good and others not so good. In the past 2 years, I've had many orders missed, delayed by over 30 minutes, and they're just not as friendly as before. I haven't updated my review until lately because I figured it was due to the pandemic and government restrictions. It's now been ample time for them to get back to their better service and quality and I just don't see any improvements. I've left drink orders because they've been very late or dropped the ball on my order. I've complained to the managers and all they say is sorry, once in a long time, they offer compensation but nothing changes. They still have good coffee but I need to find more alternatives including making my own coffee at home so I can be happy after I receive my drink, not upset and ruin my morning. read more

Peet's Coffee is one of the best coffee shops. The drinks have a strong coffee flavor and amazing taste. I've tried the caramel macchiato, chai tea latte, and cappuccino, all of which were delicious. Peet's offers a variety of syrups, including seasonal options. They also have a sugar-free option, which is vanilla. The interior is clean, and the service is fast. There is ample room both inside and outside of this location. The value is excellent for the quality, especially when compared to other coffee shops. Yesterday, I took advantage of the 12 days of Peetsmas and ordered free shipping of my favorite drink - Iced Mint Matcha What I received was a peppermint mocha filled with whip cream. I had a few errands to finish around town so I drove this drink back to the location and spoke with shift supervisor Brandon who happily listened to my complaint, offered to personally remake the drink and then apologized saying how it was inconvenient that I had to drive all the way in considering I wanted to stay warm at home from the rainfall. Either way, I wanted to pop on here to recognize Brandon's ability to DE-escalate a situation where I was dissatisfied with my ordered drink. Whewwwww, the Strawberry Matcha Frapp is delicious!! My coworker and I door dashed coffee the other day and I was pleasantly surprised to find a new and refreshing option. First time getting coffee outside the house in months! I stopped by Peet's Coffee on Laguna Blvd, which was actually my first time at this Peet's location. They provided masks at the front table when you walk in. They also have marked squares that are distanced apart for you to stand in line to order. There is a separate line, spaced out as well, for mobile orders, and another area to pick up in-house orders. I ordered a medium Iced Honey Lavender Latte ($5.50), and asked for it a little less sweet. The lady taking my order was extremely nice and easy-going. I lined up to pick up my order, which actually took a little while, although there was only one person visibly ahead of me. They were making mobile pick-up orders, which was probably why they took awhile to make my drink. The Iced Honey Lavender Latte was really good! You can definitely taste the lavender flavor and it was just right! I wouldn't alter the drink, but keep it as is. It wasn't too sweet. The staff was really nice and friendly. There were a few tables and chairs open for seating, outdoors only, with a 15 minute time limit. Overall, so far, a one and only very good experience at this Peet's Coffee. read more

I've visited this location many times over the years. Many baristas have come and gone and so has the customer service. I think I did see a few baristas headed over to the other Peet's location over by Nuggets Market awhile back but others have likely moved on. Before all the changes, the employees looked happy to be there and serve us coffee. Perhaps due to Covid, restrictions and limited staffing the service has gone downhill. I feel that the staff that is currently working there now is there just to be there & collect a paycheck. They don't seem happy. In fact, they seem stressed out and need extra help with the amount that is dumped on them in the day to day. It takes a long time for drinks to come out even through mobile order. They do check if you ask and have been waiting a long time, but their apology doesn't seem sincere for the long wait. In the past, the baristas do take the time and effort to bring the line up to speed or go above and beyond for the customers. Drinks are still made well and prefer Peet's over SBUX for flavor and coffee strength. Also, check your orders before grabbing and going! It was a few weeks back, I had ordered a medium size iced coffee and my mobile order was a medium in a SMALL sized cup. I had left before I even realized my cup was smaller. Will still come here as it is close to home and need a quick coffee fix if I happen to run out or don't feel like driving to midtown. But, I hope that they improve. read more

This is the best Peet's location we've been to. We came here for a coffee break on a Saturday afternoon. As we walked in, we were welcomed with smiles by all of the employees here. I wanted something with turmeric, they recommended their Golden Latte. It was made perfectly and I loved the ginger touch. One of the employees was constantly cleaning up the place including the restrooms. As we were enjoying our coffees seated inside, we saw how they were so friendly to every customer who came in. I have to admit that I have my other usual go-to places for coffee in Elk Grove, but Peets is within walking distance from my work so whenever I need a break and the weather is nice, I always head to this location. The workers are always friendly, but my favorite part about this place is they are fast! I'm sure they get a ton of business from all of the workers nearby so it's really great that they get the drinks out quickly so we can all get back to work. Didn't give a full 5 stars because the menu options aren't my favorite. I feel like they're pretty simple, and I usually only end up ordering the iced matcha latte. Occasionally they'll have specialty seasonal drinks though, so those are fun to try! Also, download the Peets app! Their drinks are pretty amazing. The whipped cream they use is really thick. The green tea frappe has a nice flavor. It's sweet and tasty. The horchata cold brew oat latte is amazing! A couple of months ago I stopped placing orders online because my Apple payment kept getting declined. I tried 2 separate cards so I know that was t the issue. Today I tried to order on the app again. I paid with Apple Pay and I immediately get a pop up saying "payment declined." But the my phone sends me an alert of an Apple payment processed to Peet's. So I go inside, no one greets or makes any other form of contact. The employee comes up to me and says "can I take your order." I show him the problem on my phone that the app isn't processing my order and then show him the approved payment on my Apple Pay (screen shot attached). He says "best I could do is give you the customer service number). He goes to the back for a few minutes and brings me a phone number. So I tell him I have to place my order again with him and pay AGAIN (wish he would've taken the order before going to look for a phone number). He places my order and then tells me "I always recommend people add money to their app account so you don't have that problem".... I say, I don't like that and in my mind I just think maybe Peet's can just fix their app? I go to call the number he gave me and it's for some sort of Ally delivery service voicemail?. I tried the number several times. He clearly gave me the wrong number. I walk up to staff to retrieve my order and tell the staff he gave me the wrong number and handed them the paper with the number and then I left. They just looked at me like ghosts in confusion. I hadn't been to a Peet's in quite awhile and I realized why, the staff is snooty and wish they didn't they worked there. We went yesterday to the exact same Peet's as yesterday and ordered the exact same items. Yesterday the cashier was able to get our order right with a smile, today's cashier couldn't care less. It wasn't super early yet she was half asleep. She forgot to ask me for my rewards. In these hard economic times, you would think management would tell their staff that people can go anywhere for coffees and teas. The Barista was so nice and helped me figure out my error and assured me she would get my order ready anyway. I made it to my appointment on time and am so grateful of her kindness. She went above and beyond helping me with my error. She didn't even have to think or ponder how to help me. She was genuinely understanding. When in Elk Grove, my boyfriend and I often stop here and treat ourselves to a relaxing cup of coffee, flavored blend or seasonal specialty. This spot is located in a busy and popular strip mall. So when we find ourselves shopping at it's neighbors, a quick pick me up is easily accessible and within walking distance from the other stores. There is plenty of parking spaces, but it's not always an easy process due to having to share with other businesses. This coffee shop is usually busy, but the baristas have the art of making coffee down to a science. Taking your order and creating that perfect cup every time. Friendly, professional and efficient customer service. A nice, clean store with indoor or outdoor patio dining. The stage is set to sit back and de-stress if only for a few minutes! Slow as in, I had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a medium sized cup which was filled halfway with ice. I drive by this location all the time and decided to give it a try! My friend and I checked in on Yelp and we discovered the $1 off on the seasonal pumpkin coffees! SCORE!!! As we walked in the place was nicely decorated and well stocked with coffee/tea merchandise. Tables and chairs were clean. Friendly smiling staff! They also offer Almond milk and many non-dairy vegan treats! Where as Starbucks is still stuck in the 90's with zero choices. I like Peet's coffee. No complaints from me. This shop is in a busy strip area with limited parking. It's near the Nothing Bundt Cakes shop and Leatherby's Ice Cream and a few other specialty places. Parking is pretty limited - not gonna lie - and if you need to go the opposite direction you're gonna have to be pretty creative to get back out on the street - but that is all just logistics. I didn't really know what the hell I wanted when I walked in to be honest, I just knew I was jonesin' for something. The gal behind the counter was pretty friendly and patient which I appreciated - nothing is worse than being judged by snobby coffee shop folk - but she was nothing of the sort and made small talk and suggestions. Eventually I decided on a dirty vanilla latte (extra shot of espresso) with no foam. Turned out pretty yummy and it scratched the itch. A tight parking lot kind of heightens the irritation of this particular location. The staff are amazing and make incredible coffee. I always enjoy the selection of pastries as well. Admittedly, the drinks are always on point, which is a definite plus and justification for my intermittent returns, but I return with a sincere hope that customer service will improve. Thus far, I have been disappointed. For me, this location has been the type of establishment that my husband and I visit in order to get a very good coffee drink "to go." Even so, the line seems to move slowly and oftentimes there is "no rhyme or reason" to the order in which drinks are distributed.
