This is a quite decent Starbucks. Easy to get to from 280. I'm actually camping out using WiFi, while waiting to pick up from SFO. Only a couple minutes away so easy to pack up and go. The store itself is large, with a long table for 12 person meetups. Lots of small tables as well as cushion chairs scattered along the windows. WiFi is strong here. No problem connecting. It uses the standard protocols...you connect and then accept the terms. Free refills in action at this location. Order your drink in a ceramic cup to reduce stuff sent to landfill. Then you can get unlimited refills of simple coffee and tea. Same visit only, a little tighter than pandemic policy. Crew is nice and patient while they explained the process. Once seated no one bugs you here. Busy store but they don't bus the tables or wipe them down frequently. You get what you get, and you don't get upset! read more

Starbucks - Biggest ceramic coffee house cup I've ever seen - Coffee & Tea Near Me - San Bruno, California

I needed to get coffee with my breakfast, but the place I was at in the same shopping center didn't have anything I wanted. So after ordering breakfast, I walked over to Starbucks to order my usual: a Venti Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. My usual comes with four shots of espresso, oat milk, ice, and whatever seasoning or powder they use to give it that horchata flavor. Let me tell you, this Starbucks put so much ice in the drink that I could have been done with it before I even got out the door if I tried because that is how much ice they put in it. I got this coffee because I needed to stay awake for my flight from San Francisco back to Los Angeles an hour later. Yet somehow, your boy was asleep at the airport. How am I falling asleep an hour after drinking four shots of espresso? Another weird thing was that this location served all of their drinks hot or cold in hot coffee cups. I don't know if that's an everyday thing or if it was just that day, but you couldn't even see what your drink looked like the way you normally can with the clear cups. I kept shaking the cup around, and it honestly felt like I was carrying a cup full of ice with a splash of milk. It also took forever for them to make the drinks. Multiple people kept asking if their drinks were ready yet, and the employees would just say, "No, it'll be coming up soon." Eventually everyone got their drinks, but the service was incredibly poor. I genuinely think this is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. There were so many people in there, and everyone just seemed okay with how bad their drinks were. I drank mine anyway because, well, it's Starbucks. But when you've been to enough Starbucks locations, you can tell the difference between a drink that's made properly and one that was just thrown together with a bunch of ice. I can tell, and this definitely wasn't it. If I'm ever back in San Francisco, staying at the same hotel, and need coffee, I'll gladly drive a mile or two out of the way to avoid this Starbucks. 3.5 stars. True story: I used to frequent this Starbucks at the Bayhill Shopping Center in San Bruno many years ago (Why wouldn't I? It's close to home, has a lot with ample parking and is neighbours to several establishments that I regularly visit.)...until they upset. Due to reporting horrible service rendered by them, I received from the corporate office a few free beverage coupons. The vouchers were mailed to me with a letter of apology, dated March 15, 2013. Because I was so turned off by Starbucks' customer service, I never bothered to use my drink coupons for years. On October 20, 2018, at approximately 10:30 AM, I finally decided to give this location the opportunity to redeem itself by ordering a drink and finally using one of the vouchers. The team member at the register asked his Shift Lead, Roni Sargent, for assistance with the transaction. I had noticed Roni earlier, while I was still waiting in line. She was covered with tattoos that were exposed and visible to customers and she appeared to be on a personal conversation on her cell phone. When she came to the register for my transaction, she rudely turned me away, claiming that my coupon was valid only at the Starbucks in Safeway stores and Targets. I explained to her that the letter that accompanied the coupons did not state any restrictions on where I could claim my drink nor did they have any expiration date printed on them. Roni Sargent was extremely loud, confrontational, and did not have any concern that I was gifted the tickets by Corporate to make up for the terrible service that I received at her same exact store! She was unapologetic for my experience and demanded to see the letter from corporate before she would honour my coupon (I did, indeed, have the letter, but never thought that I would be required to carry it around with me). As a result, I left without a drink and even further dismayed by Starbucks as a company. Shift leads or above representing the corporation should behave in a much more professional matter and with courteous empathy. For the awful experience with Roni, Starbucks at Bayhill Shopping Center deserved zero stars. Fast forward to many years in 2025 and a remodel or two later, I gave up on the coupons (I still don't think that I should have been forced to forfeit them) and decided to give Starbucks another chance. I'm glad to see MAJOR improvements; the venue is cleaner, more orderly, and the temperature inside is finally comfortable...and no more signs of Roni! Out with the old and in with the new and I like it! They also have taken steps to rectify their abhorrent customer care - when they make mistakes on drinks, they let customers keep the erroneous beverages + the corrected ones, no matter how many times it takes them to make them right. Hope that this Starbucks at Bayhill Shopping Center continues to progress from their low, super poor quality caliber era. For now, I am willing to increase my initial rating from zero stars to 3.5 stars. Since we are unable to give half stars, I'm submitting with an official 3 stars. read more

My local Starbucks has gone through many design changes over the years. Frankly, it used to be more homey with comfortable chairs and bigger tables. I understand that certain world events have made it necessary to create more space between the furniture and accessories and this store has done whatever was prescribed. It's still a good store and still my Go-To. The good folks behind the counter work hard and try to give good customer service. I have noticed that the headcount during any given time seems to have shrunk by one or two people. Consequently, wait times are a little longer and they are not has friendly as they used to be. This isn't a big gripe, because I do empathize with them. However, the overall experience makes me miss the old days, and when I say old days, I mean anything before 2020. Been going to this Bayhill Starbucks location for about 15 yrs and it was great since it's located closer to home. Nice ambiance and lots of tables to sit. Lately though service hasn't been good whether they're busy or not. Most of my orders are mobile and today thought I'll treat myself a drink since it's my bday. Ordered 2 drinks and my husband used his lunch hour to pick it up for me cause I'm at a meeting. It says "it'll be ready in 8 minutes," well guess what??? It took 30 long minutes for the 2 drinks to be done!!! Seriously though for 2 drinks!!! It wasn't even busy!!! The barista making the drinks needs to go a lil faster... like yesterday!!! 5:31pm on Saturday 1/18/25. The barista was not paying attention to online orders. Served the in person people first and disregarded orders already in the queue. I had to ask if our order was ready after watching multiple people walk in, order receive their order and walk back out. Finally poured my coffee but she left it there for several minutes while she was making other orders. I finally had to ask another worker to pass me my coffee from the machine. This location is normally a hit or miss with wait time. Sometimes they are quick depending whose working. Today was disappointing. They had 4-5 baristas behind the counter but only one register opened. When customer was done ordering, no one acknowledged me for a while. I stood there waiting to order. Luckily came on a day where they were giving out holiday cups if you buy a grande size holiday drink. Ended up buying one and giving it to the wife to use for future purchases. This is a great location! Conveniently located in the Bayhill Shopping Center, there is generally plenty of parking nearby. The staff is very friendly, and I rarely see a line. The order ahead is very quick and usually spot on! If something isn't quite right, they'll happily fix it. There is indoor seating in the main room and a little side room where people will work and hang. There is also some tables outside that are often taken...this place is poppin'! I definitely recommend coming to this location, and always appreciate the smiling faces and positive attitudes from the staff!! read more

Orders were being made for people who weren't there yet and didn't show up within that time. I visit a lot of Starbucks and the vibe is definitely off at this one. My drink has been made incorrectly on multiple occasions. Really inconsistent beverage quality. I usually have to wait 10+ minutes to get my order. For mobile orders, my drink is never ready on time and i still end up having to wait 10+ minutes. For a place that has plenty of employees working at once, there's usually only one person who is at the register and only one person making drinks. I've seen the pastry display have flies or gnats flying around. The overall space is dirty. read more

This is the closest Starbucks to me and sadly is probably the location where I more often than not have poorly made drinks. Though, the store is always clean and has ample seating inside and outside. The baristas are always friendly, they've always greeted me with a smile. They are also fairly busy on the weekends too. But overall I would go to another location just to have a better chance at having a properly made drink. Hopefully the drink quality improves here because it's my local store and everyone is so nice. read more

Best Starbucks in San bruno, but really all it has going for it is Location for business casual gatherings. This used to be a regular spot for a large group of friends. We met at every day after work until they put a time limit on how long you could sit outside. San Bruno is a great location for a new café has there are only a handful and anyone with decent Customer service could do better than even a Starbucks. I just want caffeine - I don't need another house payment So they might as well expand their pastries and have an order a minimum. A great example of a better café is Copenhagen downtown Burlingame. A lot of people I know who live locally even in San Bruno make the drive 10 to 15 minutes and deal with the parking just for a better environment . read more

The crew at this Starbucks can't handle it getting a little busy. There was no communication between the three. They were all going in different directions. I ordered ahead and it took 25 minutes to finally get my coffee. That was only half of my order. My wife's tea was not made and after 51 minutes, I had to turn into a "Karen" just to get them to finally make it. Would have been nice to have our drinks at the same time to sit and relax. read more

This Starbucks location has really been going downhill each year that passes! Yesterday evening, I mobile ordered an iced coffee and sandwich which said it would be ready by 17:35. I got to the location at 17:45 and no drink was ready in site. So many customers were waiting on drinks all while ONLY one worker out of the 3 were making drinks. One was helping on the register while a tall, Caucasian female with red/orange hair was busy cleaning up and kept walking to the back... when there were no customers in line, the other worker, short, Hispanic female didn't even help her colleague make drinks! I was told one of the bar (espresso machine) was down but no one decided to help the poor guy who was making EACH drink! No one used their brain and thought to help him place the stickers on cups and see which drinks didn't require the bar! As my order wasn't ready until 18:00, I saw about 7 drinks that did not require the bar (crème Frappuccino's and 2 passion tea lemonade)!!! And the poor guy made all of them! This was ridiculous! This Starbucks needs to really hire more competent workers and team players!!! This guy was working his ass off to get each drink out! read more
