Starbucks is the best. Its coffee is delicious and its iced tea is splendid. The service is nice,too. The person serving us was friendly and welcomed us. The ambiance isn't very good,though. The cafe had trash all over the floors and the bathrooms were dirty and had a moldy coin on the floor. I recommend it but maybe choose quick. read more

I was here with my daughter from out of town and she is not used to the heat of san jose. i asked the cashier for a water cup and was told that i must make a purchase to get water. because i did not have money to purchase anything, i was unable to get a WATER FOR MY DAUGHTER. she ended up with heat stroke and its all thanks to this starbucks. this should be illegal to deny water especially in such hot weather. read more

Today was really busy at Starbucks because they had a special for the drinks! I ordered on the mobile app and my drinks were there when I arrived. I was very impressed because there were only 3-4 employees making coffee and about 20 drinks were already out on the counter. I got a Venti Iced Pistachio Latte with 3 petite vanilla scones and my mom got a Iced Venti Vanilla Latte. The atmosphere was very relaxing and there were a lot of people in the store. I'm a home owner living very close to this Starbucks location. Over decades, I've occasionally patronized this place. I happen to be a senior Black man. Today, 3/27/24, I needed a haircut. There's a barbershop in the same plaza, and I wanted to tip my barber but didn't have change. That's the backstory. I walked into this Starbucks, neatly dressed, wearing a Lands End mock neck shirt, Brooks running shoes, carrying a phone, and a key ring loaded with car keys. My Afro was neat. After opening and holding the door for another gentleman, I walked to the counter with leather wallet in hand, smiled and asked for change. I hadn't ordered. Yet. The reaction I received was so creepy, I am compelled to write this review -- as always, I write reviews to give visibility to businesses that perform well, and the converse. Where Starbucks and their new policies to address past issues with Blacks is concerned, this review is also a data point that shall not go unrecorded. The associate immediately took on a look of surprise -- almost as if she was stunned by the $20 bill I tendered. As a second associate watched with a similar expression, she stuttered and looked left to a third associate. I detected fear. She told me that she needed to ask the manager. I told her, "never mind," walked out, went next door to the Lucky's market where I was instantaneously provided change, a smile, and wished a good day. This incident at Starbucks made me feel like some kind of criminal. It was not only the refusal to change a $20 bill, it was the fact that there was nothing about my appearance, bearing, or tone of voice that should have caused such a reaction. Except that I am Black. I got the haircut. A kind Vietnamese woman did it -- it was her first Afro haircut. I coached her through the cut, and she was so attentive and caring that when it came to tip her for her $29 haircut, ironically I didn't need change for $20 in the first place. read more

Wow! I have visited this location 3 times for their breakfast. Had pleasant experiences the first two times with great service and professional staff. Then today I interacted with an employee I seen for the first time. The only one in the front not wearing an apron and as I waited to be greeted. "Alexis" walked up to the cash registrar and stared at me. Then she raised her eyebrows at me insinuating I should start speaking. Then she said "are you gonna order" with a tone as if I was doing something wrong and a look of distaste on her face. I said excuse me is that how you greet people. She went silent again and just stared at me. Despite her energy, lack of professionalism and nasty look she was giving telling me to leave. I ordered my food. She then gave me my change (cash) wiped her nose with her hand and prepped my food without using and gloves. I did not even say anything at that point because clearly this girl was raised in a barn and addressing her lack of food handling safety would not suffice. But as a college student, I've been to this Starbucks a few times to do homework, and man is this a creepy area. The counter to order is on the left before you reach the counter where you pick up your order, which is smushed between the hallway to the bathroom and the people waiting in line to order. To make things messier, the table with milk, sugar, etc is also in the middle of both those lines. Because of this mess, you have people all confused on which line to stand in and people trying to not drop their drinks while navigating around the lines. This location is right by my home, I'm really glad that they open very early because there's been a couple times when my partner and I have dropped our child off at school and then we wanted to grab a Starbucks drink on the way home. They still are not allowing people inside but they do have the patio area available in the front which seems really nice because then you get to enjoy a drink outside and enjoy a cool breeze as well. The staff here is very friendly, I went in looking to buy the reusable cups with straws one time because my kids have broken so many of mine. They didn't have any available at the time but one of the employees had told me to wait because she would check in the back because she was sure they had just gotten some brand new ones in stock. Turns out they did and I was able to buy a couple of the cold and the hot drink cups. I personally will always go with The very berry hibiscus drink, it's my absolute favorite. It truly is refreshing on a hot day and I really enjoy the bits of fruit inside as well. If you are lactose intolerant like I am but you still want to enjoy those dairy drinks even though you know they are bad for you, I order some of them every now and then but I always ask the barista's if they can sub any dairy within the drink for almond milk or soy milk, and I recently found out that they also have oat milk which I have found is even more gentle on my system. read more

The service here is really hit or miss, I don't think the staff is all that friendly. I'm guessing they have problems with people stealing mobile order drinks, because they don't have them customer-facing, so you always have to ask them for your pickup order. Most of the time I'm there they don't call the mobile drinks out anyway, so it's kind of annoying to have to keep watching the pickup area. On the flip side, I've never had any major issues with my order accuracy or pick up time, just wish they were a little more friendly here. read more

The only thing I order at any Starbucks is an iced coffee sweetened. It really doesn't get much simpler than that.... tall iced coffee with the standard 3 pumps of syrup. Every single time I come to this location, my iced coffee tastes like it has literally 0 sweetener in it. I've tried recently to make extra sure that they put my order in correctly. And the crazy thing is that I see them put three pumps of sweetener in my drink with my own eyes!!!! And it still tastes like nothing!!! I was there just a few days ago and I supposedly got 6 pumps of sweetener and still nothing. 3 stars because the baristas are sort of nice and they are always willing to fix my drink (or at least they try) All this craziness is making me start to believe that there is something wrong with their sweetener and it's not the baristas messing up my order. It's Starbucks and you know what to expect. Like most people, my wife and I have been to a lot of Starbucks. There are 5 of these shops near Blossom Hill Road within a 1 mile stretch between Kooser and Santa Teresa, but this one is our favorite. This Starbucks, in a shopping center next to a Lucky supermarket, looks almost identical to all their other outlets. I guess that can be a blessing or curse, depending on how you feel about what they've got to offer. For us, we like the familiarity of knowing what to expect at each one. Basically, the drinks are fine...the pastries are mostly fresh and moist...service is always friendly, atmosphere is low key and casual, there's usually enough seating and most of the fellow customers seem to be there for the same reason. Just about what you'd want from a place when you need a break during the middle of the day. However, all is not perfect ( what is? ). Although it's not easy to keep the floor...and especially the tables...clean while doing everything else behind the counter, they ( and all coffee shops ) need to make time and get the job done. It's usually up to the customer to clean the table. That's not a bad idea. In fact, it's a good one, but people often leave a mess and the next customer shouldn't be responsible. The same holds true with the small outdoor area. Another thing comes to mind that's not really the fault of the store. When Starbucks redesigned this place about 1 1/2 years ago, they added an extra large counter which serves no purpose ( it's mostly empty ) and takes space away from having more tables and chairs. Wouldn't it pay to find a way to get more customers seated inside the store? Pros: You get what you'd expect. Neighborly. Cons: Am I a maid? Less counter and more tables. So, I really didn't like how I had a defect lid on my drink. My Chai kept leaking out of it. Ridiculously frustrating. As you'll see in my photos the areas that it is messed up is fairly obvious- Why wouldn't you have replaced it? The lid doesn't even fully close either. On the brighter side, DELICIOUS Iced Chai Tea Latte for me. Light ice which they followed and it was the perfect amount of chai that was pumped inside. Super good. I really just wasn't a fan of how the dang lid was broken because I feel like a bunch of my drink was wasted. It even spilled on my white shirt. I've been here twice and so far I have no complaint. The first time I came here was because I wanted to fight the long line for the Starbucks in Oakridge. So I drove across the street and went here instead, the line wasn't that long and the service was fast. My second time here was yesterday during Happy Hour, biggest mistake of my life!!! I stood in a line of 10+ people. Seriously, all these people only wanted Starbucks because the fraps were half off. Dude, I will be so willing to stand in a short line and pay full price then stand in a long line and pay half price. Seriously people? $4 a drink and a $2 drink isn't that big of a difference, get real. Anyways, I'm avoiding Starbucks during Happy Hour, but I would like to commend this Starbucks on how fast they made my drink. After I ordered they made my drink in about 4 minutes. I stopped by this Starbucks for a free tall holiday espresso drink during one of the pop-up cheer parties during Starbuck's 10 Days of Cheer ... I have to say, even though the shop was slammed the staff were efficient and welcoming. My drink was ready within about 10 minutes of ordering, an eternity on a normal day but super impressive when the place was crowded enough that the fire marshal would have shut it down had he been there. Definitely a better experience than the S'bux that's nearer to my mom's house, where it can take 10 minutes when empty.
