I go to Starbucks 5 out of 7 days a week or more. I have been to this location as few times and only go back hoping it was an off day. The last time was so bad. No one in line at all. The girl in the drive thru window was having a personal conversation with her co worker. Doesn't greet me or even acknowledge I'm there, so I start texting and when I look up the girl is just staring at me holding the coffee by my face I'm like....oh ok hi. Then still doesn't say ONE word to me as she is handing me my food... Just staring. Wtf? So I drive off... So unprofessional, awkward, rude. I can't, I'm done. This is my usual North County Starbucks right off the freeway (78) This is a walk up and drive-thru only location. They do have chairs outside where you can sit and relax. Each time I've been here, the employees have been great and service is fast and efficient. Drink came out perfect (in my opinion) I like the consistency of this place, one of few locations on my list. read more

Not sure what the training or protocol is with customers at the MOBILE PICK-UP window is but employees are either not checking constantly if there is someone at the window or employees (not just one but in my case this morning ALL) at some point glanced and made eye contact and not once acknowledged my presence or gave me a gesture that they would be over at any point. Was over my expected "ready time" as the app stated due to just waiting at 6am (dark) in 50 or less degrees. This actually happens a majority of the time that I've been going maybe in the last year and avoid stopping here (across the street from my house) and prefer to just stop ALL THE WAY NEAR WORK IN POWAY! Probably won't be going back or just stopping at better buzz or coffee bean in San Marcos if I ant coffee so early in the morning. Thanks but no thanks that's just annoying. I try not to come to this Starbucks, but when I do I'm always hoping I won't regret coming here and unfortunately every single time I'm disappointed! My drinks never taste good. I ordered a tall double chocolate chip and it usually looks like a mocha color but it was missing mocha and it looked like straight out milk! Would not recommend this location. Starbucks took over a former Rally's Burger. Remember them? Burgers were hit and miss? But I dug their crispy fries. I digress. Starbucks had it easy. This shop is strictly auto oriented given its drive through window only (a few peeps do walk up) and right next to the freeway. Starbucks could've had dual drive-throughs since Rally's had two. I have no idea why they didn't? It's a small building probably less than 1,000 square feet. Because they're small, the pastry selection isn't too big but they are fairly busy and keep the cars moving through. Not much of an outdoor seating area either. read more

Being able to multi-task while getting a caffeine fix makes life so much easier. For example; one can take part of a conference call, place the party on mute for a sec while you stay in car and place your order, unmute and respond to any questions from other parties on your conf. call, mute again and pay for order, get coffee, unmute and drive back to office, sit at desk and resume conf. call...and no one needs to know you just went through a Starbucks drive thru. = ) Done and score! Service is usually very fast here and cashiers are friendly. I've never actually gone up to the walk up window to order my coffee but I see people do that from time to time. I'd rather be that lazy ars American and use the drive thru. = ) read more

The location hours posted on the Starbucks app are rarely kept. One day you show up and they are open, the next you show up at 9 am, see people moving inside, but they have the drive through blocked and won't serve people. Needs new management. read more

Have placed mobile order for lunch and at least 3 times, I get to the window and they are "out" of my order. Very inconvenient. Twice I ordered the same sandwich and when I said something the barista just said sorry we sell out fast... if you sell out fast, then maybe they should stock up on it... I was given a gift card for the inconvenience but I'd really like to eat what I have my heart set on. read more

Freddy is such a sweetheart and has the best customer service. He is calm and relaxed but super quick. I had a phone order issue and he handled it so professionally and kept me and my kiddos happy. I called Starbucks because I accidentally placed an order for the wrong Starbucks locations through mobile order. When I called, I spoke to Lisa on the phone whom was just absolutely adorable and sweet in helping me getting this situated. She literally let me know that if the other Starbucks does not honor request to make me a drink that she would call them on my behalf just so I don't have to go through the refund process. She was just so genuinely kind that I appreciated the way she handled the situation and how she spoke to me. Excellent customer service. read more

Terrible. Awful. Will not go back here. Walked up and there was no line. Ordered my drink. Girl walls away without saying anything . I still have to pay so I wait. After 5 min a rude man working drive through slides me my drink through the window. I tell him I have to pay still. He literally held is hand up to and turned his head while walking away. I literally stood with my mouth hanging open. Still waiting to pay. A couple minutes later a girl asks if I need help. Had to remind her I had to pay. This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I ask one of the workers for the restroom code and she said she didn't know it to ask another worker. I pull up to the window and the barista seemed like she hated her job, after spending 15+ minutes at the window waiting for my drink which was a nitro cold brew she tells me her machine isn't working and will refund me and then she asks if I would prefer another drink and I tell her I want a green tea with agave and she tells me they're all out. Excellent customer service from this drive-thru spot. Been coming here for years and have never had an order messed up or long wait times. Seems like there's new staff all the time, but it doesn't seem to effect service. Always friendly and conveniently located right off the 78 freeway. They have outdoor seating as well if you want to chill for a bit and not deal with lovely 78/rancho Santa Fe traffic. Yelpers know if tough to find a Starbucks that can make a drink comparable to many mom & pop coffee places, but this Starbucks does it right. I like this location. The drive through is a little of tight, but they make good coffee and they're quick too. They have this sticker book for the month of December. If you buy a holiday beverage you get a sticker and once you buy 5 you get the 6th one free. Dont you just love the holidays and free coffee! Always friendly workers. Never too long of a line. Best customer service. Tell them how you like your drink and they will make that way every time! All the employees seem like they love their jobs and treat customers like old friends! Now, for Starbucks Corporate--what a mess you've made acquiring the Boulange for your baked goods. They are a sopping, insipid mess. Better croissants can be gotten in a cellophane package at the 7-11. It's a shame you no longer carry old favorites like the maple oat scone or the blueberry apricot fat free muffin. This is my go to coffee spot because I live just around the corner. Whether I use the drive thru at 5:00am on my way to work or 5:00pm for a boost before the gym, the staff is always friendly. There have been a few times where I think I may have been given an iced coffee as opposed to the cold brew but, overall totally satisfied and love that it is a drive thru location. read more

I would never review a Starbucks....not a huge fsn of the mega coffee shops. BUT, I felt strongly that the customer service at this particular Starbucks needs a rave review. Specifically, the barista/cashier named Berkley (sp?). She has a kind and friendly demeanor that shines! They're super fast and always friendly!!! I wish I lived closer to this particular Starbucks. I've never had any complaints and I've been to it frequently whenever I'm in the area. I love that it's just a stand and drive thru. It's nice to be able to sit down in the open air and order your drink from a stand, or when I'm feeling lazy drive right on through! I freaking love this Starbucks! The drive thru is really fast but it can get really busy in the morning, which the alternative is doing the walk up, which I don't really mind. This location as the best service, there hasn't been one time where I have been disappointed by this place. I like this place. It's a cute little starbucks in a nook off the 78! The drinks I get here never let me down and everyone is friendly and usually makes me laugh.
