I'm getting tired of the constant "no cash" excuses at this location. I came by tonight at 7:33 PM on April 30th and was told they weren't taking cash and I had to go through the drive-thru. The problem is, on other nights, I've been told at the drive-thru that they aren't taking cash there either. It makes zero sense to refuse a sale for no clear reason. If the registers are constantly breaking, that's a corporate issue that needs to be fixed. It's a huge inconvenience to never know if you can actually buy anything here depending on who is working the shift. I'll be reaching out to corporate because this is getting ridiculous. read more

Worst customer experience of my life at a Starbucks. Punk teenage kids that gave me the wrong order. I went back and requested my order. They insisted on giving me my original order that they had made half hour before. I refused and told them that I wanted a new drink- not a half hour old drink. The kids (at least I hope they are teenagers- if they aren't, that's just embarrassing for them). They gave me what they told me is a new drink and after I drove away- I saw it was the originally made drink. Same label and the ice melted. I again went back, with Starbucks customer service on the phone with me and asked them to please make me a new drink and handed them the old drink. They then went and said that even though the label was old- it was a new drink. Not true at all. I practically had to argue to request my order that they messed up to be made again. They shut the window and a minute later handed me the drink. No label and the same drink. Unbelievable. Starbucks customer service refunded me thankfully but I intend to follow through with my complaint. Those teens clearly don't take their job seriously and if they did this with me, they do this with all customers. Don't go to this locations unless you want sloppy old drinks, disrespectful teens making your sloppy drink incorrectly. read more

I've been doing customer service for many years. like many of us who know how stressful fast paced environments can be it's understandable to consider that someone may be having a bad day, however there is a particular staff member here in the afternoons that has a nasty attitude that just puts a bad taste on your mind when youre served by them. now do not mistake my rating otherwise the coffee here is great and the best time to get it is in the mornings. the morning crew is friendly and they NEVER mess up my drinks be them detailed or simple they never miss. but be warned if you go in the afternoon and are helped by an older gentleman he will roll his eyes at you and has HORRIBLE customer service social. other than that i would get your coffee before 2-3 or leave a bad review and get him tossed. read more

I've ordered at this location multiple times and maybe once has it ever been a decent location as far as the customer service goes. I've been in customer service since a teenager, I get how customers can just ruin your whole mood and that's why I try to be extra kind to other service workers. I had my drink made in the drive thru, drove off took a sip and was so grossed out by the wrong cold foam they added. I asked for vanilla, but I'm sure it was the protein foam which i've had and could NOT keep down lol. So I pulled up and parked and a man in a black shirt with black piercings (no smile or greeting) was standing there and I said "hi, I'm sorry I just got this in the drive thru but it just tastes a little weird I think someone just added the wrong foam" and he just took it, and said "you can keep the drink" and had them remake it (fine cool. not going to drink it but didn't even feel comfortable asking him to toss it for me because of his stale demeanor) and i just felt so stared at by some of them which is the worst feeling ever because it's not my screw up and i wasn't even upset by it. just simply wanted to get my good money's worth. last time I visit this location, i'm seeing lots of negative reviews on their customer service alone as is. read more

Easily the best location in the San Marcos. Always thoughtful employees, Annette is so kind and patient she should get all the respect. Wonderful employees everyone should get 5 dollar bonus! Ok I'm back again. Well this is my spot and it's right next to the shop so..... anyways this time I made a big mistake. I ordered up my green tea matcha frap on the mobile app and used up my star points so it didnt cost me a dime this time!! Well I pull up and tell the girl I have a mobile order and she can't find it. At this same time my damn Intrawebnetcom thing won't connect. Well I pull up to the window and what do you know. I ended up ordering my drink from the other Starbucks 4 blocks away. Me and my family went to get our drinks we ordered through the mobile app, asks over the intercom if we need to go through the drive-thru or to the front window, states our drinks aren't ready yet with an attitude and then we waited in the line to get our drinks, once we recorded our drinks we asked for additional straws because you know 1 for 5 drinks is kinda hard (joke) but the guy with long black hair and a dragon or Asian warrior mask practically threw the straws into my hand and instantly closed the door on us, on top of that one of our iced lemon loaf was practically in pieces like scrapped out of the container, this place needs new staff or an evaluation because holy hell!!! read more

One star cuz that's the only lowest rating choice, wish there's 0 or terrible rating. This WAS my favorite Starbucks store but past few months there seems to be a lot changes happening to this store. I don't see the old staff anymore and the most workers there seems to be all new. They are really slow even though there seems to be many workers, some really rude and very unprofessional. They don't seem to know what they're doing and when they make mistakes (one in particular young blonde hair girl name Sara/Sarah) blamed me saying I ordered wrong, and when the manager checked, it was her mistake. While the manager was correcting the order, she didn't even apologize, walked away with very rude and unacceptable attitude. The manager apologized for her and corrected her mistake and refunded my order but this isn't the first time this has happened, especially with this young blonde hair girl, Sara/Sarah!!! I have not complained for past few times, but they really need to train her better if they don't want to lose any more customers because of her. My family and friends have stopped going to this Starbucks store already and now I'm about to go elsewhere too!!! I don't post bad reviews, but this was just unbelievably terrible service, that I felt I needed to post in hopes they will change or train their employees professionally to serve their customers as they are in service business. read more

This location always has their machines down for carbonation... Why not get it fixed or replaced!? It is only a drive thru and walk up so do t expect to lounge like most locations. Expect to wait 15-20 minutes on weekends, especially during breakfast hours. It's perfectly located just off the freeway exit which makes it easy to get in and out of. This place is going down hill. Every time I get in the app to order ahead (I usually come from work on my lunch) they have nothing in stock. Almost none of the cold drinks. Half the time they don't have some of the hot drinks I like. And even the food seems to always be out of stock. It used to not be. And yeah I did think well maybe it's just busy and they ran out. But if it's like this Almost every day for several weeks. Something is very wrong. This is not my regular Starbucks, but I honestly wanted to do a quick drive-thru on my way to work and not think about anything else. I remembered this smaller location and pulled off the 78 to get a cold brew. This was around 6:20am and there were two people ahead of me. I drove up to order and I believe it was Lissa who took my order. She was friendly and thorough in asking if I wanted my cold brew sweetened or not, which was nice to hear earlier in the morning. Although there were people ahead of me, the line moved quickly and I was greeted so warmly at the window where I received my cold brew. My experience at this location gave me a boost to my morning because of how great it went. I was able to hop back on the freeway without significantly disrupting my morning commute. read more

Never once have they made my somewhat difficult order wrong, and they do it with such a positive attitude! I love this Starbucks as well because it is right by the 78 freeway! Was on the way home and wanted to get a cup of Joe. Stopped by this qaint Starbuck w/ a drive thru. Stopped by the menu and was immediately greeted by the server. Got my order in no time. Before I knew it was at the drivethru window to pay for my recent purchase. It was then I noticed this place was only drive thru. The "kitchen" was litteralyy a 14 ft galley kitchen. Sitting in my car, was able to see the entire starbucks area. Two skinny woment were crammed into this space taking orderes and making the espresso drinks asap. Within minutes they served me my drink. Everyone was courteous and quick. Felt very much like fast food restaurant. Upon leaving, notice there was an open air seating area. Good thing because the building the two employees occupied wouldn't fit a third person. Was an interesting place. MIssed a lot of the flair and decor of a traditional Starbucks branch. read more

This Starbucks in located right off the exit and super convenient. Not as crowded as the other Starbucks drive thrus in San Diego. The customer service is friendly and they whip your drinks quickly. One of my favorite locations to visit! Always greeted with a friendly face here. Perfect place to stop for coffee or tea! Conveniently next to the freeway 78 across a small shopping center and a few gas stations. Parking lot is small but it is a drive thru location so it's fitting. It can be a long wait in the mornings but from my experiences it moves pretty quickly. Or instead of waiting, I'll just park and order up in front. They have a cute little seating area where you can enjoy your coffee and chit chat! I've never had a problem with ordering any of my drinks. One day I'll get a coffee, next day a Vanilla Latte, and sometimes a caramel frapp. They've always tasted delicious!!! And I'm one of those "Extra this...no that..." For the second week in a row I have had the pleasure of going through the drive through while Tammy is working. She has an extremely uplifting attitude and put me in a great mood. I like that she asks if I want a stopper I don't like them so it's usually a waste if they put them in my cup.
