Live walking distance from this location for several years now. Go in as I always do to order my drink and a pup cup for my dog. Could already tell the person behind the counter had a chip on her shoulder. I say hello an am about to order a the girls asks me "is your dog a service dog? Because if not I'll have to take your order and bring it to you outside". Very rude and I've never been questioned. I have never once stayed inside to have my drink. I always take it outside because I have my dog with me. Very well trained and she is attached to my side. But I still always drink outside. Felt very uncomfortable and was very rudely approached. The chillest Starbucks in the land. Every other Starbucks in SCV is overrun and impossible to work at but this one, this one is perfect. Only time it gets really busy is during Candy Cane Lane hours 6-11 PM and on Sundays because it is smack in the middle of Grace Baptist and Blessed Kateri churches. The store baristas were very helpful as I had to use the restroom. However the gentleman who was working on the windows near the restrooms had it blocked off and refused to use it claiming it's wet. Happened to be around the area, this is by far the worst Starbucks that I've been to. When I expressed that my refresher size wrong, the employee seemed more annoyed that i should have been. He then proceeded to tossing it in a bigger cup and adding a little bit extra. The cup wasn't filled, I literally offered to pay the difference. Never again. I recently moved near this area so this became my regular Starbucks. On multiple occasions my drink is half the size of what it should . Today I Ordered a venti hot latte and it was 4 fingers from the top. I finally asked the worker if this was normal when I took the lid off and they looked at the drink and said "that must be a grande in a venti cup is that what you ordered".... the print out on the cup said venti latte and that's what I paid for. I ordered two drinks today and both were pure milk-no coffee. Both drinks weee to be espresso based and there was zero coffee. One drink was a mocha and it was pure hot chocolate. The other a flat white actually tasted of something remotely coffee but the mocha was literally chocolate milk so I believe the barista may have forgot to drop my espresso shot into the cup and it was clear they were very busy but to forget adding coffee to a coffee based drink? Out of all the Starbucks in town this one is the slowest with the WORST parking lot. I realize haste makes waste but between the time it takes to park, walk to the Starbucks if you can't park close and then wait in the line to place your order, then wait in the small cluttered retail space... It can cramp your style, your coffee break or irritate the $£|+ out of you while waiting with the other java addicted folks of AWESOMEtown! The staff is nice. I am not a coffee drinker, and only stop into Starbucks when I am in a rush and want to grab a quick breakfast on the healthier side. My go to is their spinach and feta wrap, which tastes good enough to hold me off until lunch. Keep in mind that I use the term "healthier", instead of healthy, because I have not researched the specifics on how healthy the ingredients really are. I am sure it has a ton of sodium, but have not actually checked (for my own selfish reasons). In any case, I am equally as sure that they are better for me than the breakfast sandwiches at other fast food places. As for this specific location - I have been here a handful of times and have always experienced great customer service. The staff is all upbeat and friendly, regardless of how early it is. As I totally support Starbucks and it was great to walk in to such a cozy yet friendly Starbucks greeted by friendly and attentive workers there. My matcha oat milk green tea came out perfectly and their friendliness topped off my awesome starbucks moment. The whole Barista team is so friendly and hard working! They always get my order right and they are very quick in the process of making drinks. The store is always welcoming and clean. The service has been slowly going downhill over the last few months. There are though a few good folks working there. The cashier Sunday had no clue behind the register. Another customer waiting was becoming impatient and so was I, when we talked about it the Manager got very defensive. This Manager has done this before, it is not a Manager type attitude. If I was the Manager of that location, I would do anything and everything to make the Customer happy, no excuses. P/S - This Manager was also very sarcastic to my wife the day before. She said thank you, your welcome, and have a nice day in a loud sarcastic attitude voice. It was so obvious. This is a people service job, at $5 or $6 per cup, you would get more love from Bob at 7-11 for 99 cents. read more

I just bought my coffee here about 5 minutes ago. I asked the guy who took my order if they had creme brûlée,and he confidently said yes. Lo and behold, when I had my order handed to me, it turned out they had caramel brûlée, and so I clarified if it were the same , and with a cavalier attitude, 3 of the staff shrug their shoulders and said it is the same. So They summoned their team leader ( a female) who again showed the same offhand, careless disregard and cavalier attitude towards ny concern. There was no acknowledgement of my concerns , no apology, no validation, just simply went right into justifying that it caramel brûlée was the same as creme brûlée and begrudgingly informed me that she would make another one. Now I thought that she would make an earnest effort towards adhering to the principle of customer service recovery. To my surprise, instead of deescalating the situation, she added fuel into the fire by giving less amount of coffee ( less than an inch less) which in ny estimation amounted to a medium size coffee instead of the large size content I paid for. There was no apology from this team leader, but she exuded an attitude of apathetic and callous disregard to ny concerns. I left the store feeling I was cheated and disrespected. And so I would their service 0/10. read more

This is a great way to get some energy if you just woke up, or if you're driving home from work. It is in an easy location to get to, and it always has new coffees in store. This is one of the few starbucks drive throughs I've seen, and is much more convinent to get a quick samwhich or coffee. Everything is always freshly made and warm. I've never tasted anything that didn't meet my expectations. The staff is always friendly and makes conversation, making the customers feel more welcome.
