OMG! We thought we had wandered into an empty doctors office, or a unattended small bank lobby? Only 3 small tables and uncomfortable chairs. No pastry-filled case, no obvious way to place order, no persons in view. Finally someone came from the back where baristas made drinks for the drive thru customers. That's it! Karina was the rudest barista we have ever encountered. We waited but long but usually someone acknowledges as we work in the service industry. Are belittled us in her tone and mannerisms " You know we have a speaker box!" We said " We saw that but assumed you were open." " You waited a minute or not even two. What do you want?" 3 stars for a cafe in general (especially considering that there are several great independent cafes in Santa Fe who make better coffee), but 5 stars as far as Starbucks go, since the chain has good quality control on food and drinks, so you know what you're going to get if you're familiar with Starbucks, and it's generally solid. This place has an easily-accessible location on Cerillos, with plenty of parking. It's probably convenient for those getting on and off the interstate. It's also nice that this location has long hours. The outdoor seating is nice, since the Latin is set far enough away from the road so as not to be noisy. read more

I usually prefer locally owned coffee shops, being that the contrast in customer service & quality is greater than Starbucks. This morning I decided to stop by this nearby store, against my better judgement & it was a mistake. I only had a 50 bill on me. When my very hospitable cashier was about to give me change from the cash box, the manager "Bri" shouted at her employee "No!", when he looked at her she shouted "Not for a $5 order"... He then, apologized and told me he couldn't serve me. I initially tried to place a direct customer service complaint to The Starbucks HR dept, to spare the business public disdain, though the manager Bri, had no consideration of, with me. The agent dropped the call. I wasn't surprised by that service, either. I understand that perhaps management may have failed to prepare the cash box with change for a day of service, but the way that Bri handled the situation was not only insolent, but unprofessional. Her arrogance made it clear that she was content with how she treated me and her employee. I went to the Ohori's, Luna location afterwards, and the first thing I asked the cashier is if she could accept a $50... She said "Yes, of course! ". Got my coffee & tipped graciously. HUGE difference. Perhaps, a customer service training would serve management and the face of the business. Might I add, that most ppl know that maltreatment before you've had your morning coffee, is quite the calamity to a customer. read more

Second visit to this location in two months. I won't be back. Both times my order wasn't correct and the coffee was worse than what I've gotten at a popular fast food chain. Not sure how they can mess up an iced coffee, or hot brewed coffee, but they succeeded in doing so on two occasions so I will not be back. If you're in this area, perhaps try the one in the Albertsons store across the street. It seems to get decent reviews. read more

I have being meaning to leave this review for along time, but I have being busy with school and going through a really bad custody. I was a regular at this location until August 14th 2019. I had being going in there because I was going through a really horrible custody with my ex, which left me homeless. I was going there to charge my appliances and do my homework. I had befriended a regular customer there who did paintings and I always admired his paintings. On one particular morning I went there and met the usual customer. We were talking when he started telling me about his friends Tesla. I all I knew about those cars is that they were really expensive. I had never even seen one. Well out of curiosity I asked him where his friend got the money for the tesla? what does he do? To which he told me to mind my own business. That made me think automatically drugs. I have children and he has grandchildren. So I asked him what he would think if his grandchildren started taking those drugs. After that we never talked which was fine. That brings me to August 14th 2019. I went there as usual, got my hot water for my tea, I sat at the corner near him because it had plugs and was private in the corner. I went to plug in my appliances and I needed (another plug. When I asked him if I could use the plug, he refused to move. He immediately got up and started beckoning for the Manager to come over. When she came over (The one with the really short hair, chubby) She immediately took his side. She didn't even care what happened. She asked me to move to another table. I was gathering my things. When I accidentally knocked the hot water off the table onto the floor. Right away she accused me of throwing water at the customer. I never even picked the water up. And he had no water on him. It even gets worse. After that she told me to leave. I left and a few days later after things had cooled off I went back to the restaurant. It was in the evening and there was one other customer there. I was sitting at the table on my computer minding my own business. At one point I got up to go to the bathroom and I smiled at the person behind the counter. I came out of the bathroom, I sat at the table when after a few minutes I noticed two cops come in. I thought there were there for drinks so I kind of ignored them. Then I noticed them looking at me. After awhile one of the cops came over to me and told me I was not welcome there that I had to leave. I asked why and he said that it was over the incident that happened a few days earlier on the 14th august. I asked what incident. And he said that they were told that I through hot water at a customer. First off I had actually thrown hot boiling water at a customer, he would have had third degree burns. He would at the very least have water on him which I assure you he did not. I was asked to leave and banned from the Starbucks for 36 months for something I never did. Shame on these people. The police said that I was lucky that she didn't press charges. I told them to go ahead press charges, because if they looked at the surveillance they would see exactly what happened. There was no vide because it never happened. I am disgusted and I plan to inform the top hierarchy about the incident. read more

Issues... Stayed in Santa Fe overnight on my way back to Co Springs. I placed my order online, as I always try to do and was at the Starbucks within a minute. I stood in that store for over 15 minutes and no one called my name, there was nothing at the order station and no one acknowledged me for over 15 minutes. At least 5 minutes were spent with the 5 employees standing within a foot of me - not working because there were no other orders - and talking about the new 'Cascara' coffee with each other. I 'eh hemmm'd' several times until the barista half turned - without making contact and said 'uh what are you waiting for?' I explained and they sent me to the other end of the store to pick up my order. Every single store I have been in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado and Arizona has you pick up your mobile order at the same station you woukd pick up any order. I will never return to this location and it is unfortunate that according to reviews this has happened to others also. read more

I've never walked into this location. I always use the drive through. I never had any issues with the service. The only issue I have is, the drive through is set up really awkward. There's always issues with people trying to merge into the line from the opposite direction. The people are nice and service is ok. read more

I ordered a drink on the app and the app never said their lobby was not open for business. So I go they to pick up my drink but the doors were locked so I knocked and no one inside acknowledged me, until a lady inside did a gesture of god knows what, so I knocked several times and no one came to the door to let me know what was going on, apparently I had to go through the drive through and wait an hour to pick up my already paid drink. Just left drive thru. Rude girl with short hair working the drive thru window. My husband ordered, she handed him the drinks. He said "Thank you". She replies in a rude tone, "What!". The shift manager needs to be retrained. I ordered a cafe latte and a gouda bacon sandwich. The egg in the sandwich is ice cold. I tell the lady behind the counter who is older and she tells the shift manager who then put another in the oven. Ok Issue solved. Then as a starbucks card holder, I go about an hour later up for a refill. I encounter the "shift manager" I tell her I want a Lemonade Tea, I tell her its a refill. She tells me because I ordered a Latte I cant order a refill of a lemon tea. I told her that other locatons never gave me a hastle about this. I can see she's fuming at this point and then she begrudgingly says she'll make me the drink. I told her why dont you believe me that is what the policy is. She says she knows the policy. I ask to speak to a manager and she says she is the manager and she is aware of the policy. I ask her why the attitude and she says I'm not giving you an atitude. Later I look online and see that I'm 100% correct I can order an iced tea. This woman really pissd me off, she ruined my experience at this Starbucks and seriously needs to either quit or be retrained in customer service and starbucks policy. If Starbucks is reading this this incident happened at 10:30 am today. Here is the direct quote from the starbucks website regarding refills. Horrible parking for a city with so much space. The staff here are friendly and helpful but getting in and out of here much less finding a parking is a challenge. It's a tight squeeze with barely enough room for one car to pass at a time and worse when the drive through line is backed up. I placed a mobile order here the other day and noticed they did not have an area marked for mobile orders. I waited about 5 minutes at the pick up area when one of the staff asked what I was there for and pointed me to the other side of the bar. It would have helped if there was a sign for mobile orders. read more

Reviewing my mobile order and pay experience only, this Sbucks location needs some improvement. We placed the order and waited for the barista to call our names when the drinks were ready. No dice. After nearly 15 minutes, we finally asked about the order status and were told the drinks had been ready for a while and were at the other end of the counter--the opposite end from the barista, past the registers, past the food case--nearly toward the door to the backroom. There was no sign, poor lighting over that part of the store, and they were changing out displays, so there were mugs stacked on that counter hiding the drinks. Plus, cardboard and trash in front of it. Not cool. They staff should have called out our names and the drinks should have been at the barista bar, as the mobile app states. read more

The hallmarks of the brand should be speed, convenience, and low risk certainty - you know what to expect and what you're going to get. I'm sure most transactions are well executed, and that appeared to be the case for those around us, but not ours today, thus the 2 star rating. Somehow the small 3 person crew couldn't communicate or execute the delivery of a breakfast a sandwich. We waited. We asked. No sandwich. We asked again. Wrong sandwich. Then told oh they don't have the sandwich. Finally got a croissant instead. The whole time we got a coulomb thin apologies from - but no acknowledgement of the screwup. Another disappointment from another Starbucks location. This time they asked me if I wanted my morning bun warmed and I said yes. When I got to the window to pay they reiterated you wanted your bun warmed correct? I said yes. When I got the morning bun it was cold. Starbucks has really gone down. I order a green tea lemonade from another location and they leave the lemonade out. I order a morning bun and I get a cake pop. And lately service at any location has been very slow - not every time but more often than not lately. So yes I will still go to Starbucks on occasion but I've been going about half the time I usually do. Now I'm on the lookout for new places and more local. They messed up my drink. Tried to tell me they have to put cream in a green tea frap. No they don't it's subbed with coconut milk. Been getting this drink for 15 years. Then they put whip on it. I had two workers at this Starbuck's turn around and look right at me as I walked up to the counter only to turn away without saying a word. Eventually when my order was taken, I ordered a small Veranda with room for 1/2 and 1/2. When i took the lid off, you got it, no room for 1/2 and 1/2. I hate to waste coffee. When I added the 1/2 and 1/2, it curdled. The coffee was cold. Smh... when i took the coffee back to report the problem the lady just looked at me. I said you can stick your finger in it, its cold. She said discouragingly, "I can make more but its going to take some time. I said fine. My second cup was fine but they hadn't replaced the 1/2 and 1/2. When i took the barista the container, i removed the lid to show her the cottage cheese on the inner lid, she took the container from me without saying a word. Starbuck's workers usually have positive attitudes, apologize for the stores miscues send treat customers with respect. This location is not being managed properly. Great location but the beverage I ordered tasted funny. I asked the barista and he said they filter the water but I don't believe it. Some guy with a backpack came in and blared heavy metal music from his cell phone on speaker for 20 minutes and the staff said nothing. And they were closed on Christmas, despite Yelp saying "open today." Meanwhile the nearby movie theatre, the Chinese restaurants and Denny's were all doing a booming business on the 25th.
