The area of the Starbucks and the inside of the store wasn't bad. Good seating area if you find any. But this by far counts as one of the worst services I've received in a Starbucks. Is it me or is costumer service declining more and more each day? I usually order first and ask them to re load my card with the exact amount which I owe. I've done this in several locations and never once have I had such a rude response. I worked at Starbucks a while back and at the store I was located my manager would've ripped me apart for the rude behavior and response I got from this barista. He clearly states with attitude "you should've asked to re load before anything" now I don't know if this person at this point is miss understanding me so I repeat my question and I get the same response. At this point I asked him if he was new, to give him the benefit of the doubt and he says no I've been a supervisor for years. I blatantly told him that his attitude was terrible. I wouldn't come back to this place again! Plus they keep it disgusting. Normal regulations states we should do a lobby every 10 or 15 min. I Was there a couple of hours until I left I saw them coming to clean. It's absolutely horrible, good parking! But I rather pay for parking than having to deal which such disgusting attitudes again. read more

The lady at the register and the guy who took my drink order were nice. But other than that, they don't welcome people who sit for too long. I spent a lot of money and wasn't even using their wifi. They give you dirty looks and aggressively slam the stools underneath the counter next to you to try to get you to leave. read more

I love this starbucks! The staff are fabulous there's always a seat, they make their own flavored frapps (s'more flavor etc) and theres tons of room. Not many freaks there either - a great place to work on your laptop or chill with friends. read more

There are some days when I am not able to move unless I have some kind of energy liquidated down my throat. And on those days, there is only one place I go: Starbucks. This fine, coffee establishment has been around for years yet it's simplicity makes it still one of the best places in whatever city it's in. The service was exceptional and it was nice to have someone taking my order who didn't look like they wanted to take me down. Wide-eyed, smiling faces are just one of the few nice things you'll see upon walking into this location. Outside of the service, the coffee was just a sweet treat for your insides. The caffeinated, delicious ball of energy rushed through my body like an electrical shock and I instantly felt like I had the ability to climb Mt. Everest or at the very least, make it to work on time. Overall, I would definitely recommend the store in general, but specifically the cafe at 91604. I've been to many Starbucks throughout the country and the people here really seem like they care, which is almost as refreshing as their drinks. read more

Very clean store, employees are friendly, and the drinks are well made. Had to wait a few minutes just for an Iced Coffee, but the barista that handed me my drink was very nice and apologized for the wait. They have powermats on the counters! I started coming to this Starbucks in October 2012 and I cannot express how amazing the employees were and how many fun times I have had here with friends. Right after my senior year of high school I really got to know one of the employees. We became really good friends and though he is no longer working there, I will always remember this location as where I met and became pretty close to him. He was really wonderful and I miss him a lot, we shared a lot of laughs and a lot of smiles. The baristas are friendly and are fast at what they do. Like another reviewer said the clients can be pretty rude and should be more friendly to baristas. Occasionally when I ask for a frappe with choice of syrup they drizzle the sides for me . Some baristas though give me a frappe blended with less ice . Parking is easy to find just avoid peak hours (Ventura, Studio City nuff said). Some workers seem as they don't know what to say though at times and personally I feel like they need more training. The Starbucks on Ventura Blvd, near Laurel Canyon is a great location. Great to people watch. The employees have always been friendly and top notch. Never a complaint there But, the past few months there has been a drastic change. I feel bad writing this but the outside area has been inundated by street walkers and drug addled derelicts who take over the tables all day long. The tables are now surrounded by shopping carts and other assorted debris. Every day. And they never move I wish something would be done. It doesn't make for a pleasing place to be as they yell at each other, hound passing people and basically squat all day long read more

I have been coming to this Starbucks for years and I used to love it. All the staff where nice and they greeted you and made you feel welcome. Recently with the change of manager "again" most of the staff are new and it's like they don't want to be there but they have to. Even though I go there every morning and they know me , they are still mean. I had a problem the other day with my drink and I wanted them to fix it but I just stood there and no one helped me like I wasn't there. I am very disappointed. around the corner from my work there is a coffee bean and I go there for iced tea in the afternoons some times and they are very nice. I used to love coming into this starbucks. I think all of the baristas and cashiers are really friendly and have an overall great attitude, however, as of the last couple of week's there is a new barista working by the counter. I'm sure you've seen the tall guy that acts like he's in an ivy league fraternity. With his holier than thou attitude and Super Awesome Bro-tastic stories. It's obvious his co-workers can't stand his annoying meanspirited "jokes". For starters, the guy never lets you know that your drink is ready. He just sneaks it onto the counter and goes back to talking shit to whoever will listen. In the last 5 times that i've been there, he has trash talked customers right after they leave at volume loud enough for the entire store to hear. I'm sorry but if i'm a customer waiting in line, the last thing I want to hear is how so and so is a has been actor wannabe, or this lady is always complaining about so and so. You're not in Nebraska anymore kid. Grow up, act like you enjoy your job and respect the people that are helping you get through college or whatever it is you do besides exuding toxic energy around everyone, you snot nosed little punk. I am a 24 year old, African-American woman. I am a college educated artist, entrepreneur & esteemed community activist. After running some errands I thought I'd stop by my local Studio City Starbucks for a Blueberry Yogurt Muffin--my fave. When I entered the store there were NO employees to be found. I assumed they'd eventually emerge. So, I headed toward the pastry case & patiently waited. When the barista finally decided to come back to the counter she rudely & with ironic impatience yelled "Uhm! Are you going to order...or?" Brushing off my confusion & offense by her extreme rudeness I simply replied "Yes!" At which point she casually proceeded to explain that she "was just making sure I wasn't loitering" ..........................loitering? While I WAS in workout gear I DEFINITELY had on a North Face Jacket, tons of gold jewelry, an Ani & Alex Charm bracelet, red wide rimmed glasses, a fringed cross body bag & an iPhone in my hand......... Doesn't really sound like slightly reasonable attire for a homeless person at all.......... But I suppose that when those things are on a black body, it is only reasonable to assume that they are homeless & loitering in your precious little Starbucks rather than waiting on your presumptuous, lazy, & prejudiced barista to decide to come out front & barist so that they could patronize your establishment. I ultimately decided to leave & I will not be spending $$$ with This company. Thanks for the profiling. I love this Starbucks location! The staff is always super friendly and they always greet me by name since I'm a regular. I'm really bad with names but the one I can remember is Frank. Excellent customer service, he always asks me how my day is going and wishes me a good day at work when I'm on my way out. A great Starbucks. It was just recently renovated. When I walk in, it reminds me of my traveling days in Milan, Italy. In Italy it is very common to see espresso bars all over the cites and villages similar to this Starbucks. High end coffee and great decor at this location. I moved to Studio City about 4 years ago and being from New York, never quite got the whole "cultural" following that individual Starbucks locations seem to have here in LA. I've frequented quite a few around the globe and have to say I was absolutely converted today into having a "favorite" by the sweetest, kindest and most compassionate young lady by the name of Paige, I have ever met! The level of service was not only impeccable, her smile, demeanor and personality shines through in what most definitely could become mundane to an average person. She treated every single guest exactly the same and was known and spoken to by more than half the customers that came in while I was there. Starbucks...you have a winner in Paige!! This young lady is a shining star and an example of what every company should have in an employee! I hope she is appropriately rewarded and taken care of by you daily because if she's not, I might just have to make her a job offer and steal her away!! read more

They have recently remodeled and their new seating is horrible. Instead of individual tables, they now have communal seating (2 large tables that you have to share with others). This morning, they ran out of coffee, so I had to wait 5 minutes for a new brew (had already waited in a 10--long line). After I FINALLY got my coffee, there was nowhere to sit (because of the new, non-practical seating). This location used to be an enjoyable experience, but for now on, I'll be going elsewhere. read more

There's lots of writers on strike hanging out at this Starbucks right now, and lots of interesting conversations. Starbucks does just about everything right, so it's pretty hard to complain about them, but I do have one problem with this one and it's the condition of the one bathroom! This is one of those places where you can really drag a peice of toilet paper or one of those paper toilet seat covers out on your shoe if you aren't careful. So if you guys can keep the bathroom supplied better, I'll give you the five stars! read more

Great friendly service, attentive and caring baristas, working quickly and efficiently at one of the busiest Starbucks around. Good atmosphere whether you're lingering two minutes or two hours. The staff go out of their way to look after customers. Good parking at the rear. Starbucks coffee quality is pretty consistent store-to-store, but they do it well, and maintain a good selection of foods. read more
