Ordered door dash and it was supposed to be 3 items and all I got was coffee no note no message whatsoever!

In town for just a short while and needed to grab something quick to eat and use the bathroom. This location has the old school pin code restrooms that I thought Starbucks got into a whole public relations debacle over. Alas, I order my sous vide egg bites and ask for the code. I'm only in the bathroom two minutes and I come out and my egg bites are sitting on the counter. Were they even heated up? Nope, cold and look odd. I buy these at my usual Starbucks at least once a week and they have never looked like they did today. Even my husband was like, wtf?! They didn't heat them? I didn't want to go back in because it was cold outside and my husband and dog were waiting. Disappointed. Also, all the tables outside have no chairs. No where to sit at all. It's on a Main Street. I'm shocked at how bad the atmosphere is. Studio city in general seemed dirty so maybe this is just a representation of the surrounding environment. read more

This particular location has fallen off in recent years. My last visit here, saw the unisex restroom covered in urine and wet bath tissue. That should of been the tell-tale sign for me to just leave, but I went for a coffee anyway after a much needed restroom visit. Ordered me a simple soy mocha latte. Horribly burnt coffee made by a dude way too busy telling stories to his buddies behind the counter. The place looks like it needs an overhaul. New management, new staff, something. Maybe this is what happens when a big corporation becomes too big, they start turning into McDonald's. Run by people who only care about when they are getting off and who's the cutest one they work with. Most of the Starbucks I go into have friendly and cool people in a pretty clean and well kept place. This one absolutely BLOWS! Very disappointed. COVID PROTOCOL FAILURE!! BEWARE!! They leave drinks and food items, with open bags and drink-lids with gaping holes in them, sitting lazily on the table NEAREST TO THE DOOR! They're behind glass and masks as protection, but they give their customers and their items NONE. Local watering hole with all the same expectations. Always busy, never enough seating and super loud, but that's how we like it, right? Service is great and the quality is perfect. Never had any issues here no matter how busy they get. Seating is hit or miss but there is a community table in there so don't be shy. Parking in the back and on the street but you have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting a spot on the street so just park in the lot behind and walk a few steps. read more

Let me start off by saying that the spicy chorizo breakfast sandwich is beyond delicious and most likely the only reason why I will be giving this place a second chance. With that being said, I went in this morning (7:53am) and thought, Awesome! No line! Well, little did I know it would be the opposite of a "quick coffee run". I was greeted politely by a Tammara (I believe that's how you spell her name), she took my order, all was good. After waiting 13 minutes for my breakfast sandwich to be toasted and seeing how frustrated the lady that had ordered before I got there was, we both proceeded to try and cancel our order. Denise, the employee in charge of heating the food then said that my sandwich was about to go in the oven (13min after ordering) so I decided to wait some more. Let me just say, I understand when an establishment is busy and have no problem waiting. In fact, I'm happy to wait for my order but what I would have appreciated from Denise is a little sense of urgency. Instead all we (customers waiting for our food) saw her doing was walking back and forth, playing with her tongs and talking. The oven kept going off and she was no where near it. After I complained, Tammara rolled her eyes and said underneath her breath that they were busy. Denise offered me a $4 refund which I declined because $4 is not worth almost 20min of my time and does not make up for her messing around. Overall, the food at Starbucks is delicious and the service is mostly good but when you know you are in the wrong, try apologizing instead of making excuses. This Starbucks was just remodeled and I think it is so much better now. This place would get pretty busy in the early afternoon when a bunch of rich kids wearing too much makeup would storm the place and sometimes it would be difficult to find a spot if you needed an outlet for your computer. The remodel has relieved that somewhat by adding more seating along the wall in the front of the store with power outlets instead of along the back wall where there weren't any. Oh! They added an additional bathroom too. woo hoo! I love this place for people watching too. There are always out of work actors and screenplay writers hanging around being pretty, as well as a lot of moms with their designer strollers and yoga pants. I love Starbucks, let me start with this. I spend A LOT of money at Starbucks every month, but I'll go out of my way to avoid this one. The parking is nice, but the service is something comparable to Burger King... Cookie cutter greeting, not very genuine, and the wait is usually pretty long during busy hours. It seems nothing runs too efficiently here. They lost my business for the final time when I went in one afternoon to buy a latte and banana about two months ago. It was during a slow time of the day so there was only one lady behind me. I asked to pay for the items separately as the Gold Card doesn't intuitively give you two stars when you buy two items on one transaction. The guy told me that I would have to exit the line and get in back to pay for the second item separately... Now I've been a gold card member since the card was black, back in '08/'09 and have never heard this policy before, and not since then. I said "never mind" to both items and started to leave, then he said that "just this once" he would ring the items separately. I politely declined and left the store read more

This has to be the nicest Starbucks staff I've ever witnessed! Each employee is kind and positive and although they have long lines they take care of each person quickly and they don't forget about you if you've been waiting! I think this excellence is in part due to the manager who stresses kindness and acceptance. He handles even difficult customers with the utmost grace and is never condescending. I think one of my missions in life is to figure out the good Starbuckses from the bad. That said, I deem this one good! I guess a lot of industry folk go here, because I've seen the baristas deal with some ridiculously-complicated orders, and they always come through with flying colors. They're not the fastest Starbucks on the earth, but they do a pretty good job, and the general vibe in here is just fairly chill for being such a bustling hubbub. The only reason I can't give this place five full stars is almost every time I've been here, this group of heinous teenagers shows up (nearly always the same ones, weirdly enough) and makes a ton of noise and disturbs everyone, and it's a little hard just to chillax with my friends and/or my knitting and/or my laptop. read more

I lost count on how many Starbucks I've been to in the Valley but this coffeehouse is one of my favorites. Clover brew is always awesome! Been coming here for years and one of the few in the Valley with late hours and unique characters. Always super busy because of its' prime location in Studio City. Never failed to spot struggling screenplay writers busily working on their computers from nearby studios. Getting inside and finding a table to sit can be difficult. Patrons would be tapping on their laptops for hours with no plans of leaving anytime soon. However the coffeehouse has been renovated to provide a smoother and more comfortable flow (plus more outlets!). Plus an additional restroom was a plus. Baristas are usually friendly and when they warn about closing soon, they're not kidding. Lights actually goes off and back on to signify that they mean business. Parking is plentiful in the back lot and also on the streets. Since it has huge windows, you can sit and people-watch or whatever is going on on the busy streets. Recently I found out that this Starbucks offer drinks that other Starbucks don't so be sure to drop by. read more

It takes a lot for me to want to write a bad review for anyone, let alone a Starbucks but I was genuinely and deeply disappointed with my experience at this Starbucks. It's 8:36 on Thursday, October 28th as I'm writing this and I've been here for a few hours and just seen this gentleman on the floor (there's two partners on the floor and one is a man and the other is a woman) and this gentleman has just been relatively dismissive of some of the customers who have come in and inquired about items, and I saw that he had sent a gentleman away Bc he wanted Decaf coffee. Now, I understand that after 11am-Noon, Starbucks usually stops brewing Decaf, if they even brew decaf. However, this gentleman said that the Decaf section of their Clover machine was broken and they couldn't do Decaf for him. Which I was a little disappointed about for the gentleman, but hoped I could get a Pour-Over of a Decaf. I asked this partner for a Decaf and he said the same thing. I asked for a pour over, and he said that their pour over machine was broken. Finally, he said that they can't do a pour over, Bc the clover ultimately replaces their pour over setup. I also looked at their French Press and would've been very happy to have received a French press, even if it was a little more. I even enquired if I had to buy a bag of the Congo coffee to get him to make a French press of that for me, and he declined to do so. This really saddens me as someone who has an online coffee passport and would've loved to have filled that out at this store that I happened to have dropped by at. The worst thing wasn't that I didn't get what I wanted. That's understandable. Machines need to be cleaned and that's fine. However, he seemed so dismissive about it. It never came off as him intentionally feeling apologetic, but dismissive, like he didn't want to make one because it was late. And I won't say that that's why he was dismissive, but I will say this; he had an opportunity to try to make that moment better for me and he just ignored it. And I don't think I want to come here when I know he's here anymore. :/ read more

We live closer to other locations, but we'll drive back to this one because of it's combination of parking, friendly staff, large store size, and the chance that we'll see other people we know at the outdoor tables. I love their service, their coffee and tea but what makes me not wanting to go there is uncleanliness. Customers get up from their tables and crumbs and sometimes coffee stains on tables that no one cleans. The floors are filthy too. Most of the time the tables are filthy. Ordered a coffee using the app. The barista made the drink with the usual Starbucks efficiency then ignored me while she made several other drinks, said goodbye to one colleague and then talked to another colleague coming back from break. Another employee was cleaning the mats from behind the counter by dropping them next to my table, flicking droppings onto my table. I'm not a Starbucks goer. My friend insisted on drinking there. I met my friend here, we ordered. I got a "Berry Sangria Herbal iced Tea". KYLIE helped me and she was "super" nice She made me smile and happy with the extra tea. The tea was great. It looked and tasted amazing. If I wanna go to any Starbucks I studio city or Sherman oaks area, I'll definitely go there. Not only because of that new tea, but also for the kindness and warm smile of KYLIE who made my night. If I was the manager, I would hire more KYLIE to brighten customers' visit. Warning! The coffee at this loud and busy Starbucks, if you give it a sniff before adding milk, smells like burnt plastic. There is no way that burnt plastic is healthy. All of their coffees have this smell, so I don't think it is an equipment malfunction. It's something else. If you don't want to get stomach cancer, I suggest you avoid this place. read more

I went to Starbucks to get a latte and do some writing. Everything was fine until I got approached by a Multi Level Marketing scammer. A while after I showed up, a customer in his mid 20's approached me and started talking to me about how his life turned around when he met an amazing couple who retired in their late 20's. And isn't that so great? And wouldn't you like to do the same? I've heard this ploy multiple times before from other strangers. I know it's a dirty scam. I did not come to Starbucks to be solicited to. After wasting enough time and realizing this con artist wouldn't let me get any more writing done, I left the store. After I left, I called the store on my phone to report the behavior of the solicitor. I was told by the Starbucks employee that I spoke to that he would tell his supervisor. But there was really nothing they could do about it, and that if I didn't want to talk to people like that, then it's my responsibility to end the conversation. I hope that the employee I spoke to was misinformed, and that starbucks actually does have the authority to make solicitors leave. I hope that starbucks can take some kind of measure least to disincentivize soliciting! If not, then that would make Starbucks the perfect hunting ground for solicitors, con artists, and multi level marketing schemers like the one I met today. If Starbucks is truly a safe space for multi level marketing schemers, then I will unfortunately be taking my business elsewhere. read more

They did some remodeling, and there's no smoking outside because of recent LA City ordinances against smoking in outdoor dining areas. And this place, like just about every Starbucks I've been to, keeps their temperature on the same order as a Viking walk-in refrigerator, so remember to bundle up. read more

I live in Hollywood and gladly drive to this location! They are ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS super friendly here. I especially love the fact that they have the Clover. If you haven't already tried a cup of coffee from that amazing machine, you are missing out. It's so worth the extra buck or so. The baristas there are also quite attractive.
