The longest wait for a coffee EVER. Poorly structured with little to no line space for cars. You have to wait in the middle of the street and block traffic to wait in the drive through. Inside was a whole other animal. At least 15 people waiting for backed up drinks. As I am writing this post, it's been 20 minutes after ordering. Five stars to the employees one star for Starbucks. That is the only location that I go but I don't have issues with. Every other Starbucks takes forever or unfriendly. There is one thing that unites all of their locations they are crazy overpriced! But there are a lot of people like me who will overpay just to have their coffee complain about it but still pay for it. Today I was pleasantly surprised that I got my coffee within four minutes and they will spelled my name right. The lady who prepared coffee read it wrong but... at least they spelled it right for once I usually say Chuck it's my husbands name and it's really hard to mess that one up. This is a nice Starbucks. Lots of seating, but like all Starbucks, the wait is forever. The baristas are friendly. I stopped in for gift cards for my team, and I got everything I needed even with the long wait. The store is clean, light, and airy. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, and I make my tea at home, but my team loves Starbucks, so I like to visit here for gift cards. read more

People call Starbucks coffee, burnt coffee but I say nay nay. It is hard to keep from being biast in this review due to the fact that I love all Starbucks. With that being said, this Starbucks is one of the best that I have been to. Their baristas are extremely friendly and always willing to take your order with a smile. Their drive-thru is horrible because of the location and not because of the service. There is always a huge line that backs up into the parking lot. This makes it impossible for anyone to get in and out of the parking lot. But it is Starbucks so you should expect no less. They also have quality muffins as well. My favorite is the pumpkin cream cheese muffin. I would always go to Starbuck regardless of the location. This is mainly due to the quality of the coffee and the excellent service. read more

Only 3 stars, per the earlier Yelper, its not a great place to work or study due to the layout and the acoustics. However, I recognize that being a library is NOT their main business. The staff is great. But one serious complaint I have... it has a serious bug/fly problem. Going to 18 months now, so its not seasonal. Its pretty disgusting and they are everywhere, so assume they are on your coffee cup, and all of the equipment behind the bar. The only thing I can figure out - the dumpster for the restaurant is right next to the drive through window. Might wanna re-think that if possible.Its so bothersome that I won't meet people there anymore. read more

The people here are always helpful and chipper. They're fast at learning your usual drink, and usually your name as well! There's always laughter behind the counter, which might be annoying to some people, but I love to see people enjoying their jobs. The store is always clean (including the restroom), and there's ample seating space inside and out. Now that the wi-fi is free to everyone, I'm at this Starbucks more often than other coffee shops, since there aren't any local shops in Summerville. read more

The drive thru opens at 5 a.m., which is perfect for an early bird or someone taking a road trip. My daughter and I stopped by on our way home to Richmond and my venti iced Americano got me through the first few hours of my trip. A Starbucks is a Starbucks. Cleanliness at this particular location is lacking, seriously lacking. When I first sat down I had to wipe my table down - not unusual for a public place. What shocked me was WHAT I had to clean off my table. I counted 2 dead house flies and crumbs from multiple food items. Swatting flies became second nature while in the building. It felt more like a stereotypical Waffle House from a cleanliness perspective. Sticky tables, dirty windows, live and dead flies abound. Service was acceptable. Employees were friendly. I did find it weird that my food and my coffee were ready about 10 minutes apart. I normally use Starbucks as a place to study. The lack of outlets (I counted 4 total) made it difficult to charge my computer and caused others to trip because the cord was stretched out. With the insects, my arms sticking to the table and lack of plugs for electronics I'm not sure I will return to this Starbucks to study. read more

So. . .wow. I've been to Starbucks (like everyone, right?) all over the country, and this one is the worst of them all, which is not to say that it is a dive, but it is clearly not well-maintained, not regularly cleaned, and just run down looking, compared to all the others I've visited in the past year or so. It's not in a great part of the Charleston area (Summerville being more blue collar) and is off the tourist path, so it's staffed and frequented by locals only I'd imagine, which I am not. And maybe those locals and the staff they are selected from are not quite up to speed on what a Starbucks should look like and feel like. The lines were long (under-staffed) on a mid-Friday morning (both inside and in the drive-through) and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned recently (trash on the floors and generally unkempt). Half the decor looks excessively worn compared to the newer fixtures and tables right across the aisle. The pictures on the wall are seemingly randomly placed. . .it all combines for a feeling like this is a Starbucks that just doesn't quite get it. read more

This was my first time checking into this Starbucks here in the Target store at the Azalea mall I like that they have a starbucks cafe included. The atmosphere is clean, warm with friendly staff. I had a buy one get one free coupon from a couple of gift baby tote bags I got just for signing up a baby registry for my nephew and since he can't drink coffee yet I kept a coupon and I'm thankful I did. I purchased the pumpkin spice latte and also got the peach ice tea they both are very delicious and for the price of one you can't beat that. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but this was definitely delightful when you need that pick me up to stay awake and focused for a long work shift ahead. This is my current regular Starbucks but unfortunately, I feel I have to block out time on my calendar when I want coffee from here. This is quite simply the slowest imaginable Starbucks.
