The coffee: I got dark roast with 2 shots of espresso, was the best cup of coffee I've had in Tampa in years. So smooth and dark. Hence my coming back a second day. The 2 people's working Saturday and the one man working today were so warm and welcoming. It was a delight to chat with them. I sat outside and enjoyed my coffee and croissant and watching the world go by. I'm haven't been a regular at a coffee bar lace in years, but I think Blind Tiger is my new spot.

However - this place is killer. I've tried several lattes and the cold brew, and they are phenomenal. The decor is cute, cozy, modern and slightly caffeinated. It's not a huge place but it's super popular. There are tables out front on the sidewalk, too. It's busy, but the skilled baristas keep things moving. On this most recent trip, I tried the ube matcha-my first. I liked it! There were lots of tempting pastries, etc-but I had a lunch date coming up, so I stuck to just the beverage. If you decide to stop in, bonus: this business shares space with a fun kitchen store that has everything from gourmet salts and oils-fun towels and mugs-and all sorts of other items. The flavors of the coffee are fun, but just like any coffee shop, you may get a not so great latte sometimes, and when you're paying $10-$11, your tolerance for sub-perfection is low. This location is super convenient for us and even has a drive through, yet we find ourselves avoiding it every time when it's time to choose a coffee spot. Nothing bad to say about the service or environment - all fine.

The baristas were very nice and helped us choose what to go with by describing the flavor profiles. They also had coffee flights which is something we need to go back for. I was pleasantly surprised by their redbull energy mix. My partner had the peanut butter perfection which almost tastes like a protein drink rather than a coffee latte. In a fist visit, I usually start with chai tea latte... but today I asked for suggestions and ended up with a hot hibiscus tea with added pear flavoring. It was so floral and different! White Duck was founded by a couple of Seattle transplants, who wanted to bring the "two windows in a shed" model of Pacific Northwest coffee shops to the Bay Area. And that's exactly what this is-a drive thru-no indoor seating-and I didn't see any outdoor tables, either. This is grab and go. But there's parking behind the building, if you want to sit and savor a bit. The shop is way up on North Dale Mabry-near Van Dyke-on the east side, right next to a Wendy's. It wasn't busy when I first got there but there at 8:30 on a Wednesday morning, but it soon picked up. I can see why... it's so convenient and the staff is so nice. They really stand out. I can't wait to stop in again and try more! I read on the website that the owners lost a child to cancer and part of the proceeds from each purchase goes to research.
