The Elise drink

Had to update my review let the photo speak for itself. I'm pretty sure the label stated light ice and I'm pretty sure the cup was over. Full in ice. What the hell Starbucks if you're gonna charge me five bucks for a beverage at least make it my way be a little bit more like Burger King. Lol

Superfast service plus inside seating plus outside seating plus a drive-through! What else could you possibly need in a Starbucks? It's actually not even a bad place to hang out and work a little bit on your laptop. Of course the food and drink are same same every Shux but they did well here. TL/dr: as good a Sbux as you can need

After exploring the Joshua Tree National Park, this was a short drive to get some pumpkin spice iced latte! Happy Fall Y'all!!

Starbucks drink with error of wrong drink being made

They were the rudest starbucks employees, our group was the only people there so it was not loud enough for them to get multiple errors in our order. From making a wrong drink and giving a wrong size. Their baristas do not follow the recipes at all. And when we asked for multiple straws for our order of 3+ drink they only gave us one straw at a time 3x. We were so annoyed we just left. Never coming here again for a quick refresher.

Short staffed and the place looks dirty. The drinks taste like they were made through a dirty sock. Management seems disorganized and lie

I went in to do some studying and they closed the lobby an hour before closing. They should fix the hours on the front door.

What is up with this location? My mobile order is never ready and today I got an almond latte with cow's milk. RIP to my stomach.

They need to hire more people. 27 minutes in a line that you can't get out of is horrendous

We ordered a mocha Frappuccino. It was not right, tasted bitter! We prefer McDonald's Mocha Frappe.

They also forgot the bag of bean sprouts/lime/cilantro/jalapeños for the second bowl of pho. But, with only two pho spots in the high desert, can beggars be choosers? Vibes were nice inside though, with a lounge area with a stage for performances that you can also eat at while chillin' on some really comfy couches and chairs. Might have to meet up with friends here sometime for random hangs without having to cook. They also get a star for the nice lady working the register.

It was delicious. It was a banh mi sandwich that is not just one of those, "It's good for a small town," but really genuinely good and well-prepared. The sandwich was about $13, if memory serves. Whatever sauce they had on it was also delicious, and the sandwich was filling. The restaurant is a very large, airy, comfortable space in back of Rite Aid and Aldi, and is a pleasant space. The place also has coffee, bagels, croissants, bagel sandwiches, poke, and pho, along with numerous kinds of tea (milk tea, Thai tea, Matcha tea). The pho and bagels I saw other people eating looked delicious. The people who worked there were very friendly.

OK, so this is confusing - there are 2 pages on Yelp that are for The Dez, and there are indeed two…read morelocations, but it seems like people are just reviewing wherever they are reviewing for either location (they are like, steps from each other). ANYWAY. We have been here a couple of times - will usually stop by here when we're in Joshua Tree. On Saturdays, there is a Farmer's Market in the parking lot, so it gets pretty crowded. This last time we went, I got an iced strawberry matcha, and my partner got the chai iced tea. Both with almond milk. They still charge a surplus for non-dairy, which feels so 2022. But anyway. The drinks were delicious. We also got an almond croissant, which doesn't look like much, but it was AMAZING. And then the quiches. Oh, the quiches. I had such high hopes for these, especially since we were primed with refreshing drinks and a tasty pastry. These quiches are muffin-sized, perfect for a light meal or a heavier snack, and they look super cute. They will heat them up for you. When we went, they had bacon cheddar and spinach feta. We got one of each. My friends, these were so disappointing. First, no flavor. We asked for ketchup or hot sauce to give it a bit of acid, because it was basically egg all the way through. Solid wall of egg that tasted like the powdered egg you get at one of those corporate conference catered breakfasts. I had one tiny sliver of bacon in mine, and my partner was playing hide and seek with the spinach, and the spinach was winning. The crust itself was rubbery and chewy, not flaky like I would expect a quiche to be. I mean, it was palatable and not super expensive. I'm just not sure if you're selling food, you want it to just be "palatable". Last time, we got a savory veggie pie, and that was pretty good, so they DO have good savory foods. I think the quiches were just a huge miss this time. Bathroom is clean and single-stalled. Parking is easy in the lot, and on Farmer's Market days, I mean, c'mon, it's Joshua Tree, it's not like there isn't space on the streets too.

Located next to the JT visitor center west entrance and about 5 miles from the park entrance. We arrived to this small local place just as they were opening at 7:30 am and they had breakfast sandwiches being made, mostly with bacon, egg and cheese but they'll make you sausage or other variation as well. They also have a good selection of other breakfast items like hard boiled eggs, cheese, fruits, yogurt parfait, salad and deli lunch sandwiches. Additionally they sell various hot and cold drinks, organic JT coffee beans that they'll grind for you, salty and sweet snacks, California dates and roadrunner t-shirts. Prices are not cheap but comparable to other similar places and Starbucks. We appreciated the friendly staff. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, though it did take a bit to make.

Every time, the folks behind the counter don't really say hello or greet (most) customers. With me they usually just kind of stare. I realize not everyone communicates in the same way. But no matter who is working, same thing. I'm usually the first one to say something - like anything. During a recent visit, the cashier didn't even finish my transaction before going back to what they were doing for the customer in front of me (who the cashier seemed to know). Again, no communication. Now, I don't need to have a full conversation with every person on staff. But the overall customer service isn't inviting or very present here. Not for everyone, anyway. So even though the sandwiches, salad, and cookies are tasty, I can't honestly recommend this place. There are other delicious grab and go options in Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, or 29 Palms that are much more friendly.
